I stopped in Needlepoint This, because I'm going all in and I'll now be that woman who visits every LNS. All of the ladies in here were lovely, welcoming and helpful. I quickly let them know I'm brand new and looking to start needlepoint quite soon. I picked up a Waffle House canvas (my first 18 count as my blueberry pancakes is a 13) and some thread. Jane was especially kind to not have me spend too much seeing as though this will be one of my first projects and helped select essentials thread for my stitching. There's that itty bitty part of me that always wants the good stuff but I'm sure this will be just fine seeing as though I'm not even certain how this whole new found desire to make this a hobby of mine will turn out. I stitched my first stitch with Jane and she was very encouraging and supportive. Their classes are sold out for the remainder of the year which feels common in the area. I'm really hoping to find a great one somewhere because I love hands on learning and feel most comfy around a professional to get started and answer questions that will undoubtedly arise. We'll see, as each day passes I'm growing more confident in just starting on my own with videos. I now have just about everything I think I'll need to begin. Jane gave me a project bag and some travel scissors in addition to a couple other needles. I liked her suggestion to not use stretcher bars, although I have some I may experiment with different ways to see which I prefer. Parking is a little wonky in the area due to construction on Lovers Lane, I'd suggest trying to park across the road if you can't snag a spot on their side.

When I decided to get a couple threads, the ladies working even helped make sure I got the proper weight. Needlepoint is not a cheap hobby by any means. Every single canvas here could have gone home with me and I'd have been thrilled. The collection is so fresh and contemporary, it actually made me want to start five projects at once. They don't have a ton of large-format canvases, but there are some. Personally, I just wrapped up a belt project that took me...wait for it...20 years. Yes, two decades. I like to think of it as slow stitching, not procrastination. After finally finishing, over the past 6 or so months, I searched and searched for my next project and am a little bummed I didn't find this shop sooner. Turns out they weren't on Yelp. I actually stumbled upon them on TikTok, and in true enabler fashion, I set them up on Yelp myself. I had already bought my next canvases online, so when I came in I only needed all the fun extras to get started. Alice, who helped me, was fantastic. She set me up with the perfect thread colors, a needle minder, needles, stretcher bars and pins, and even a stitch book. Basically, she made sure I had everything except the snacks to sustain me through my next marathon project. And get this, they have in store classes too (check the website)! I'm absolutely psyched to go, because I could use a few tips to shorten my average project timeline from 20 years to less than 10. This place is such a great find. Whether you're brand new and "needlepoint curious" or a long-hauler like me, stop here first. You'll walk out happy, inspired, and probably with way more goodies than you planned. This place was literally the highlight of my week!!!

I was considering getting a jersey framed here, but decided on someone else who specializes in jerseys instead. Otherwise, I would've likely got it done here as well, especially for the price they quoted me. The item I did have framed here was a portrait. Overall, I was left satisfied with the craftsmanship of the frame. Also, I was definitely impressed with the service and time it took to get it back to me as well!

I've had some disappointing (to say the least) surprises at other frame shops so I'm always hesitant to trust them. E.g.- Once someone cut off the deckled edge of a linocut print. Another shop decided that the wooden frame that I picked out needed to be touched up with red "accent" paint. (Neither of these choices were previously discussed with me.) Having artwork framed should be straightforward, easy, and ultimately you need to know that your items will be kept safe and that the integrity of the piece will not be compromised. So when I relocated to Dallas I took a couple of prints in to test the waters and now I fully trust Art & Frame Expo with anything! I've been going here for years. At this point I've taken well over a dozen items in for framing and I've found them to be nothing but professional. I'm always excited to work with them and trust their opinion as well. Customer service is top notch! They do beautiful, high quality work and for those that think it's too expensive, all I can say is- you get what you pay for.

After losing my mom, dad, and two nieces in the July 4th floods, I went into Paper Affair looking for stationery to send out thank you cards. Cindy immediately showed me kindness, support, and understanding during such a difficult time. She told me about Arzberger Stationers, who generously offered to donate stationery to family members of flood victims. They sent me beautiful cards that were already personalized with my return address, making it simple for me to reach out and express my gratitude to friends and family who supported me. Their thoughtfulness and generosity were truly meaningful, and the gesture made a heavy task feel much more manageable. Cindy and the entire team at both Paper Affair and Arzberger Stationers went above and beyond, showing care and compassion that I will never forget. I am so grateful for them and highly recommend their businesses--not just for their products, but for their hearts.

It's one of those spots that instantly pulls you in with how beautifully it's set up. Everything felt festive, thoughtful, and honestly... kind of magical. If you're into holiday vibes, this place is Christmas on steroids in the best way. They've got tons of unique items, from adorable stocking stuffers to perfectly curated gifts. And if you're a college football fan? You're going to lose your mind -- they had so many cute team-themed items I had to stop myself from overloading the basket. They also customize stationery, and the layout of the store makes you want to stroll every single aisle. Clean, organized, and just flat-out pretty. But the part that stood out most? The service. The staff was incredibly personable and kept checking in without being overbearing. At checkout they asked if I wanted to sign up for the rewards program -- and honestly, it was an easy yes because I already know I'll be back. Great products bring you in, but great service is what gets you returning. Bonus moment: I even helped find a coworker's phone that decided to play hide-and-seek somewhere in the merch. Found it though -- so you're welcome, Dallas. Perfect little local gem. I'll definitely be back.

I came for the sushi-making class, and overall, it was a really good time. The setup was smooth, the atmosphere was lively, and the whole experience felt more like a social night out with a little culinary cosplay which honestly, has its place. They also offered wine and sake pairings, and you can BYOB, which definitely helps keep the vibe festive. That said... if you're hoping to leave with the confidence to open your own omakase counter in a strip mall, this is not that. A lot of the components were pre-made or prepped ahead of time, and there wasn't a ton of actual teaching around technique, ingredients, or the food itself. So while you do "make sushi," it's less MasterClass and more cute, hands-on dinner activity. But honestly? That's not necessarily a bad thing. Not every class needs to end with a knife skills certification and a spiritual relationship with sushi rice. Bottom line: Come here if you want a fun, low-pressure experience for a date night, girls' night, or team outing. Just set expectations correctly: this is more about the experience than becoming the next IronChef.
