The staff is so kind and helpful, and the customized products I ordered turned out better than I imagined, with such a quick turnaround time. I was able to fully design digitally printed foam board signs and pick up other fun decorations for my sister's bachelorette trip, and more recently I had the cutest Pilates socks embroidered for an event I was hosting. Beyond rude! I have given this place multiple chances! Every time I walk in the door, they look me up and down and don't greet me. Not once. But, they have no issues greeting those that come in after me. The rudest employee has to be the one at the cash register, not so much as a hello when you walk up to pay, although, after my purchases, she seemed to muster enough energy to to ask me if I would be paying for the necklace around my toddlers neck, which BELONGED to ME and my toddler had on when we walked into the store. Asked about custom stationary, the woman made it seem as it was just "so expensive" and takes "so long", huh? I asked, you why are you dissuading me? Admittedly I am usually dressed in athletic attire when I come in, but seriously, does that matter? Disgusting, especially in front of my child. Aside from the horrible service, their selection of cards is just very so so and their gifts are what every other store around here has. Living in the Park Cites, we have many stores like this to select from, this is not the one I will be patronizing in the future. read more

They have a wonderful array of options whether you need custom for an event or just thank you cards like I did. Their prices are a little steep (the area it is in tells you that already), but they only have high quality cards from the likes of Vera Wang, Crane, and others. I love my "Thank you" cards! Very nice place with nice things but I can't say the same for the staff. I wasn't greeted or assisted the entire time I was in the store. When I finally went to the clerk to ask a question she answered with a snobby tone. As if they were too good to carry what I was requesting. To be fair I did go into the store about 10 minutes before closing but I am sorry, your customer service skills should be in tact from open to close! Great fun stuff but the staff is what kills this store. You walk in, no greeting, ladies behind the counter laughing and carrying their own conversation with their cups in their hands. I should have read the reviews prior to coming in and of course after I leave, I see all the same reviews about the terrible customer service. Nothing but older ladies gossiping and laughing with fake smiles when you look around. I will go to a different location for the cute stuff with at least a friendly staff. As a previous customer, I will not step foot in this store again. I had in mind that I would be getting my Save the Dates here and finally carved out the time to go make a selection and purchase. Multiple employees hovered around with thoughts & asking if I'd chosen one yet to the point I couldn't hear myself think. I narrowed it down to about 6 to choose from and submit the wording. I let the main lady 'helping' me know that I had to run my daughter to tutor, asked what time they closed, and let her know I'd be right back. She gave me markers to put into the pages of the books & said she would leave them stacked there for me to return. I walk back in after the quick errand, and the books are gone. Another lady told me she cleaned all that up and pulled all the markers out. There was an hour left before closing. Rude employees, lacking in true customer service & clearly too many cooks in the kitchen that aren't communicating or don't care about the customer or what their other fellow coworkers are doing. What a complete waste of time! I don't normally do Yelp reviews, but this was beyond stressful at an already stressful time. Back to the drawing board..... read more

My mother and I went in to order my wedding invitations and after walking through the store multiple times and looking through books on our own we were not greeted, not welcomed, and not asked if we could be helped with anything. This was my first time in and I wish I had better things to say. Unfortunately, I don't. When I walked into the store (University Park location), I was not even greeted even though the employees were standing right at the front door (specifically 2 older ladies). I stayed maybe less than a few minutes because It felt so unwelcoming. Right as I start walking out one of the older ladies just says, "bye" in an ugly tone. I am a blogger in Dallas and would have loved to give referrals to this store with companies I use but will absolutely be sure to never send any business here. I recently worked with Paper Affair for my daughter's wedding invitations. Their knowledgeable staff made the daunting process easy. Proofs were ready in a timely manner as promised, and the entire staff is very accommodating. Plus, they offer great discounts and in-store incentives if you purchase your wedding invitations and stationary in the store. This store is as good as it gets!!! 5 star store for sure!!! I had a terrible experience ordering invitations somewhere else and after 11 days I had NO invitation and I had to get something in the mail. I went into Paper Affair and Cindy asked if she could help me. I began crying and explaining my situation. She said, "Don't worry about it, we are going to figure something out." Cindy spent over an hour and 1/2 helping me with an invitation, and calling the printing company herself several times. This was Monday afternoon and by Wednesday morning she had the invitations ready for me to put in the mail! They were beautiful!!! Cindy then sat and helped me stuff and seal the envelopes. She went over and beyond. I am deeply appreciative for all she did and the personal touch I received! I would HIGHLY recommend Paper Affair to anyone. I was thoroughly impressed with them. I wanted a personalized dog bowl to give as a gift, I had been other places and called and no one was confident they could do it either because of the shape of the bowl or because of the specific color I wanted the lettering to be. The Paper Affair not only got the color I wanted they made the bowl look better than I thought possible in quick order. DO NOT GO HERE! The people who work here know NOTHING about paper and stationary! They completely ruined my wedding invitations! The woman who helped me proceeded to blame me and argued with me in front of customers in the store when I told her this was not what I ordered. She could have easily taken responsibility for HER mistake and done everything in her power to fix it. She continued to make excuse after excuse blaming me again, blaming the type of paper, blaming the paper company, blaming the example book. That was $2500 down the drain!
