I've never done this before I turned the water off under the toilet the pipe that goes from the valve to the tank sprung a leak. I turned the water off for the whole house and went to back to the hardware store bought 2 new valves and the pipe well as I was trying to take the old valve off the pipe coming from the wall started bending the valve wasn't budging..
