We have a Control 4 system/rack that has been beeping the last couple of days, in the past we were able to turn off the beeping by turning it on and off and pushing and holding a couple of buttons, this time it didn't work. I contacted John/JC and he responded promptly and asked me to send over some info regarding my system and when I connected with him over the phone later he walked me through how to troubleshoot it. I couldn't believe it. I feel like any other AV business (like the original person we had) would have asked to come out to "troubleshoot" and then charged us for the privilege regardless of whether or not the issue was fixed. JC, Abat, and the rest of their team did an exceptional job on a variety of audio, video, lighting, security, and wi-fi projects for my 5,000 sq ft new construction home in Manhattan Beach. All of them were knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, honest and fair with their billable hours. I would highly recommend them. Within a day of my initial call, JC came to the house and went over everything with me in detail, including all the equipment I would need which he had no problem letting me purchase myself. He was generous with him time throughout this initial consultation as there was much to discuss. They wall-mounted 6 televisions (most 80" +), all of which were perfectly centered including super-clean wiring work behind the TVs. They custom installed 2 Sonos Arcs attached to 2 of the TVs which look great and are very functional when rotating them. They also created 6 zones for TV/audio listening via Sonos Amps and in-ceiling speakers which sound amazing. JC did an amazing job on our project. Saving us from a terrible system. We built our house and used another company to do our AV install. After a year of it failing, dropping out, locking up and no response from the original installer we had enough. I made the choice to move over to SONOS through out the house. Using it for nine different audio zones as well as for our surround sound in our Great Room and Master Bedroom. JC came to the rescue. They cleaned up the cabling and centralized all my entertainment equipment. His work was efficient and clean. We have had absolutely no issues since. JC is not like other AV installers. He won't push technology on you if you are not interested in it. He is there to give you the home entertainment system you want. JC Wired is fantastic. John, the owner, and his company were referred to me by a colleague for security cameras. Doing my due diligence, I also got estimates from 3 other companies. John took the time to ask the right questions and prepared a thorough, thoughtful proposal. His prices were fair, and the equipment he recommended was excellent. I quickly eliminated the other proposals and went with JC Wired. He was not the cheapest, but I was impressed with his practical knowledge and approach. After the initial proposal, I also found that John had an excellent and varied technical background, so I decided to upgrade the wireless network, which had been a constant irritant, and have him take a look at our ancient alarm system. I also had him bid the installation of a Ring Pro entry system. Everybody ought to have one of these things. I wanted hardwired cameras for reliability of signal, and a host of other good reasons, but did not want any exposed wiring festooning my house. This is where a smart guy who is thoughtful, and actually cares about what he does, really comes into play. He took the time to go through camera placement and how he was going to make each cable run for the 14 cameras (Hikvision) that he installed for the project. He listened to my input, and was very patient when I made adjustments. He had two techs, Isidro and Alex, that worked with him...and they were top-notch. That PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) camera up above is MINE, BTW! And is absolutely the coolest toy ever invented (do NOT tell my wife it is a toy, it is a serious, and very necessary piece of surveillance equipment. For our family's security...). AND THE COOLEST TOY EVER! Ahem. All the cameras have fantastic infrared for clear night vision. I can also view all the cameras on my iPhone, iPad and laptop, anywhere I am. In the world. Cool. I can fully control the PTZ from any device as well. Double cool. He also installed 2 WAPs (Web Access Points) for the network. We have a large property and had a host of irritating weak points in wireless. Not anymore. Ripping, rock-solid signal pretty much over our entire acre now. AND he rehabbed our 20 year old alarm system with a new dual path alarm system. Dual path means it communicates either over the LAN or uses mobile if that fails. I can arm, disarm and check the alarm's status from my cell with an app. From Anywhere. Yes. This was not the scope of work that I originally had planned. But after meeting and speaking with John, I decided to bite the bullet and knock out some projects that I had been meaning to get to. I am so happy I did, and I'm thrilled with the outcome.
