I used to work for a company that installed home theater equipment so I get calls pretty regularly from friends asking me to help them out. When my friend moved down to the Santa Monica area I couldn't make it down to help him out so he asked me if I could suggest a place that could help him out with, in his words, making his home look smart. I suggested putting a pair of glasses on his house but he wasn't going for that. I made a few calls to some of the people I used to work with and was told about FAD multiple times. One of them suggest Best Buy. I told him to bite his tongue and that we were no longer friends. Friends don't let friends go to Best Buy. Future Automation & Design came to his home, did a free consultation and put together a detailed quote so my friend would know exactly what he was getting in to. My buddy is a little high strung but he said when the consultation was over he was feeling good about things. Install day came, the crew was on time and they were efficient in their work. I saw my friends house before the install and I saw his house after. The work was clean and coming from someone that used to get paid to do the same work, I was impressed. Audio in every room, even the bathroom. Apparently my buddy likes to sing in the shower, I could have gone without thinking about him in the shower, but what ever floats his boat. The Tv's looked great, they were well placed and there wasn't a single hanging wire. You gotta love a company that knows what they were talking about and knows what they were doing. read more

Installation: The day of installation went smoothly and efficiently. Patrick and his team finished the entire project in less than a day and then spent time with me to help me understand how to use system. The TVs were wall-mounted perfectly without messy cables. I went with Control4 (which i highly recommend) for the living room and bedroom master TV remotes and Sonos amps and speakers to play music throughout the house. I found Patrick from seeing his wrapped van in my neighborhood. I needed someone who was knowledgeable about my control 4 system that needed to be updated but would also be available to continue to update and communicate when things changed or when the electrical went out which happens often in my area. My original system had been installed poorly and was a tangled mess of wires. Patrick and his Team came in and rewired the box and organized all of the components into a sleek cabinet that had a fan it in so that the components wouldn't overheat. He originally quoted me before Covid and wasn't able to do the install during that time but when he was able to start work all of his employees showed up on time with masks. They where clean and communicated where they were daily at the end of each day. They let us know what they would be working on the next day, which was important because having your internet down while working at home during a pandemic can send anyone over the edge. Don't go anywhere else...we did (6 months ago) and paid the price. The owner, Patrick, will accomodate your needs and keep you within your budget.
