This place is great! The barista even had an option of a "surprise" drink where they asked a few questions to know different tastes you prefer then they make you a surprise drink! I thought that was pretty cool. My sister was bold enough to do that and she really liked her drink. I got an iced hazelnut latte and was not disappointed. Let me start by saying that I am not a coffee drinker. So I know what you're thinking...why am I at a coffee shop then? Well, socializing of course (and studying)! Because such I wanted to rate this place based on my overall experience and the services that are provided. For being a coffee shop in little Collegedale, its cozy and spacious. The times I've been I never had to wait to find a seat, which for me that's a +! With high-speed internet and all-you-can drink water, it's perfect for a student like me. The reason why I removed one star is that the location is difficult for parking especially on days that students are studying for midterms and finals. A small inconvenience, but overall I was pleased with my experience and will be checking in to this place regularly. read more

The coffee and pastries are good here, nothing to really boast about. The one advantage they have is that there is little to no competition in the area. Wired used to be located in Cambridge Square at an awesome spot where the seating and arrangement were wonderful. Their new location is much less impressive. Parking is a pain in the butt because space is limited and you're also forced to back into traffic when you're leaving. If you're in the Ooltewah area, this is probably your best option for coffee. However, I would seriously consider driving to 10 minutes to Hamilton Place to go to Starbucks. read more

Love this place! It's in the Cambridge Square complex and is a cool, hip spot. One of the things that makes it great is that no matter where you sit, there is a place to connect your power cords. Even on the round table in the middle of the room! Way to go. I loved the booths but unfortunately they were hogged up the whole time I was there, which I don't blame the people in them. They looked so comfy. I had a lavender iced tea and it was good. Weird taste to get used to at first but it definitely grew on me and was very refreshing. My one issue I had is the noise level. Because it's very industrialized looking, bare concrete floors, big open space, the sound of everyone talking bounces around the place. Maybe throw some rugs down to absorb some of that noise. We ordered two lattes, a mocha, and a french press, trying both of their regular (not decaf) coffees of the day. Their prices are competitive and reasonable, especially for the taste. We really liked everything we got, but I would recommend the french press. Their current coffee source is pretty local, Batdorf and Bronson Coffee Roasters in Atlanta, Ga. While they may not roast their own beans here at Wired like some other local shops, they aren't missing anything in taste. I found their staff to be polite, helpful, and friendly-and they aren't coffee snobs like some places! The decor was very well done in a modern industrial style, with many comfy areas to choose from. There is plenty of parking, and nice outdoor seating with music and a fountain too. I absolutely love Wired. I have been waiting for the Ooltewah/Collegedale area to get a nice coffee shop for YEARS and I'm happy to say that the day has finally come. Their cappuccinos are so delicious! The perfect strength. The atmosphere is great! Lots of seating and the decor is so unique and appropriate. Atmosphere means a lot to me and this place definitely doesn't disappoint. They even have picture hanging from a local photographer, which is awesome. The pastries are delicious too! I mean once you try one of their chocolate chip cookies, you'll be hooked. They also have frozen hot chocolate, it's so yummy! Actually their regular hot chocolate is also a must try. It is seriously the best hot chocolate I've ever had. They also have amazing drip coffee. Its from a roaster in Atlanta. One of my friends loves the roaster so much she used to have it mailed to her before wired came along. It's good stuff so give that a try too. One thing I hate about most coffee shops is that there are never enough plugs for computers but you don't have to worry about that here because they have outlets at every table!! How convenient. I ended up throwing away half...BECAUSE IT COULDN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO a WIRED frozen Chai! This is a true artisan coffee house. Not your automated machines! These people are trained to make coffee and they know how! There are too many amazing drinks to list. You really just cannot go wrong on the menu. Lavendar Ice Tea is like nothing you've ever had! They can make most all of the coffee drinks frozen or iced if "hot" isn't your thing. The Italian Soda's are completely addicting. Do not leave without buying some coffee beans for the days you can't make it in there. This is such a smooth, full coffee. If you don't have a grinder, they will grind it for you! We ALWAYS keep some in the house! Not a lot of food...but it is a coffeehouse! The bear claw is delicious for a pastry...be sure to get it heated...YUM! They have yummy quiche for any time of day. Lots of cookies, muffins, juices as well. The environment is very "Restoration Hardware". Super open with hip tunes, great service, tons of seating, a fireplace with leather sofa and chairs etc. The biggest problem...you will lose track of time and want more than one drink!
