Despite my coffee earlier in the day, I found I needed a little extra on my way home to Huntsville. Oaks showed up on a search as an easy pit stop along the way, so I pulled off to give them a try. This is a fairly large shop in a location that I'm not sure entirely suits it - but I was very glad to see it! They have a drive through but I wound up going inside to use the restroom. It's a beautiful and modern building, with a lot of space inside to relax or work. The restroom was immaculate and the line to order was short and moved quickly. Service was also incredibly friendly and pleasant. They were very patient with the customer in front of me who asked a LOT of questions, lol. I placed an order for an iced marble mocha, which had both dark and white chocolate. This was a unique concept to me but it actually really worked! I could taste both kinds of chocolate distinctly and it was very tasty. As I kept drinking it, I will say it was a little heavy on the milk for me, but ultimately it was a tasty drink. If I lived in the area, I'd be back for sure! I'm pretty sure they give some of their proceeds back to local nonprofits too, which is nice. read more

Had a wonderful experience stopping by Oaks this morning. Just passing through town for work and I am always on the lookout for good matcha when traveling. The seasonal matcha with the blueberry basil lemonade is FANTASTIC - not too sweet or sour and a beautiful bright green. I was also looking for a good biscuit while in town and this was it!! Anytime we are in Chattanooga or even close we stop in at our favorite coffee shop. This place is incredible! Everything is fresh, unique and delicious! It's a little loud (a few quiet spots if you can snag them) but still a great place to meet up, work or just enjoy time alone. The service is amazing! Every time they answer any questions we have, recommend drinks we end up loving and consistently make the drinks right. I LOVE that they have multiple diary free milk options. In our family with all of our allergies we cannot do dairy, oat milk, or almond so when places have coconut or here macadamia it's SO nice! Very rare though so it sets them apart. Wonderful local coffee cafe. We came here on a Tuesday around 3 pm, and it was BUSY! We circled the parking lot twice and were able to snag a spot after a car had just pulled out. While this coffee shop has a drive-thru, the vast majority of those who visit come to take advantage of the lovely inside and patio seating. There's even an upstairs seating area that was full when we visited. We had our pup with us, so thankfully, we were able to snag a table on their cozy patio. At the counter, a mounted menu is provided, but we were advised to view their website for a more expansive menu. Happily, we found some of our go-to favorites, which are the London Fog and Chai Tea Latte. The London Fog was AMAZING, while the Chai tea latte was a bit light on the chai spice taste. I was tempted to order a third drink, the Yuzu Fizz, which was one from their seasonal menu. It stated, "a tasty combo of Rishi Yuzu Green Tea, lemon juice, lavender syrup, and sparkling water." It's honestly impressive how bland and bitter the coffee manages to be here, despite them flexing a $20,000 Slayer espresso machine like it's a sacred relic. You'd think that kind of machine would guarantee something smooth and balanced--but instead, I got a cup full of sharp, tannic bitterness layered over what tasted like underdeveloped, lightly roasted beans that never had a chance to shine. It's like they stopped roasting halfway through and said, "Good enough for the Lord." The service? About as warm and inviting as a church bulletin. No greeting, no vibe, just quiet judgment and the distinct feeling that you're interrupting something holier than your caffeine addiction. As for the space--it's giving youth group budget went wild. Massive real estate footprint, faux-rustic Protestant string lights dangling with purpose, and upstairs seating that makes you feel like you should be filling out a tithing envelope, not sipping espresso. I've been here a couple of times in the last few years, but I recently came here after a while and I loved my experience. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte with oat milk and my friend got a Dirty Chai. Service was timely and the staff were very sweet, I loved my interactions with them. I love the ambiance and the interior is decorated nicely with the plants and greenery. The upstairs is very spacious too, but personally I feel like the downstairs has a better aesthetic. My matcha latte was earthy and delicious. The stand alone building on the corner really catches your eye, so it's hard to miss. We entered from the side street into the parking lot, which has plenty of parking. There are handicapped spaces near the door. Most parking requires crossing a traffic lane, but everyone seemed pretty chill so there is no issue crossing the lot. The interior is extremely nice, almost unexpected for a coffee shop. The interior is very bright and open. The ordering counter is in the rear with a menu above. Staff were all pleasant and ordering was easy. While waiting for the drinks to be ready, I walked upstairs to see that space. BTW, there is an elevator to take you to the second floor if needed. I admit at first I did not get the typical cozy vibe of a coffee shop, but the space grew on me. Upstairs has a conference room feel, with small tables spaced out for privacy. There is also a comfy-looking couch and chairs in one corner. I could see conducting business upstairs, and working on a laptop downstairs. It seems like they hit an underutilized niche by offering a space for business in addition to the typical individual. Oh, and our drinks were everything we would expect. I've had the latte both hot and iced several times, and the espresso seems to be a very light blend. It's not as bold as you'd expect it to be. It's almost tea-like? But it's not bad, just different! Where to start? Coffee shops are all about customer service and quality products. Oaks nails both of them. Their customer service is second to none in the specialty coffee shop world. I go to coffee shops all over the south and have yet to find a better group of baristas than at Oaks. This customer service is even more important because I spend a lot of days there working and doing creative writing. The atmosphere provided by the space and staff frees my mind to find that optimal creative space. Then there is the product. I judge coffee shops on three main criteria: drip, espresso, and cold brew. Each of these three meets my expectations each and every time. The consistency of flavor is spot on, and the speed of service, even when busy, is fantastic. Finally, Oaks is a fantastic event space. The publishing company I work for held its first big event of our organization's young life at Oaks this past Saturday- January 28, 2023. Starting with the way Tiffany engaged us throughout the planning process all the way through the warm environment that Jackson- the manager on duty- and his crew presented, we could not have asked for a better experience. Affordability and communication are a must for a young company, and Tiffany, Jackson, and Oaks proved why they have to be a go-to for our company with our future events. I always like to try new coffee places while traveling and this spot was amazing. Very clean place and friendly staff. I got the house special iced marble latte with an extra shot of espresso. Their large already comes with 4 shots(most places I try not have 3 shots in the large) but I got the extra due to traveling most of the day. The espresso was very smooth, and I could still taste the flavor of the drink even with the 5 shots. As with most coffee shops like this, it's more expensive than a gas station or chain but I would recommend it 100 out of 100 times. I also ordered the chocolate scone for my child and it was the best chocolate scone I've EVER tasted(I'm admittedly more of a donut person so I don't usually order scones but my 4 yr old was with me and that's the only thing she wanted). Close to the highway and I appreciate the smaller menu, it helps enforce quality over quantity. read more

I was very excited to try this place out after seeing their pictures online. I came by on a weekday morning which proved to be a little difficult during school drop off time (lots of traffic, little parking). The coffee shop is located across the street from the Silverdale Baptist Academy, which made for an exceptionally busy place to try and get work done. With the music playing and the amount of people (the place was packed) it was difficult for me to focus. The coffee was alright and the team was friendly when I ordered. Personally, it was not worth the drive and hassle of traffic and the amount of people to be a repeat customer, seems like a great place for the students, families and employees of the school next door, or for people who don't mind a busy ambiance. Not the most ideal area for those who enjoy a more focused or quieter lounge like area. read more

Awesome coffee house in a nice space. They've plenty of seating inside for more relaxed days, and get you in and out pretty quick with their drive through for busy days when you need a pick me up. I stopped by to study and stayed several hours - its a pretty good study spot or meet up place. I ordered the Avocado toast, hot macha latte, and hubby had their vanilla cappuccino. The avocado toast was fresh and filling. Only thing it missed was a little salt - an easy fix. The hot matcha latte instantly brought a smile to my face. It had the perfect balance of sweet and creamy and warmed me from the inside out ~ just how I like my macha lattes. The vanilla cappuccino comes in 1 size (small) and was unsweet, despite the added vanilla. The coffee was smooth, not bitter, but lacked sweetness and that hint of vanilla. Not a bad drink, just not our cup of joe (haha). The staff were all very kind and generous with their smiles and laughter. The interior and exterior are very clean and well kept.
