THIS IS COUNTUNED FROM MY OTHER REVIEW Then he pulled the car to the alignment rack. Someone else worked on the alignment for over one hour. While it was on the rack the manager told me that the front end alignment was going to be "free of charge" for me because of the hassle with the muffler system. The manager took it for a test ride an handed me the keys telling me that everything was in the green and I was good to go. Driving home I noticed that the car was pulling to the right big time. I got home and called back saying that something was not right. I also asked why I did not get a paper readout of the alignment. I also told him that I was about to take this vehicle on a 5000 mile road trip out west being pulled behind a motor home. He said that their printer was not working but then he said if I was worried about it to bring it back in. I WAS WORRIED. I took it back and I asked to see the screen when they set up the alignment before they do anything. Well he put it up on the rack and started to work on it before I could see the screen but I got there on my own. I could not believe what I saw. Not one category was in the green (meaning that the alignment wasn't worth anything). I took a picture (See picture). With no explanation, he started to work on it to alignment it. At one point he told me that it was as good as he could get it and only 2 out of 6 things were in the green. He said he could not set the camber because there was no adjustment for it. I told him that I just put camber bolts in place and he actually still argued with me that there were no camber bolts. Finally he looked again and magically he found them. He made the finale adjustment and tightened everything up and said it was the best he could do. Not all the read outs were acceptable in my eyes and I contacting an expert on alignment and he agreed with me. Driving home it still pulled big time to the right. At this point I called the district manager to tell him the problems I had. He told me to go get a front end alignment from a shop of my choice and he would pay for it. That is what I did and now my car drives straight as an arrow. Wisconsin Muffler did pay me for the alignment. If I would of pulled this car behind my RV like they had it probably would of destroyed my brand new tires if I did not get a additional alignment after the one I got at Wisconsin Muffler. This was a nightmare experience. If I was you, I would run from them. I will never use them again and I feel sorry for anyone that does. read more

I took 2 Winter tires into be mounted and balanced To put on the front of my front wheel drive car. When I get them back, they both had the same rotation and not opposite rotation . One for the left side and 1 for the right side. The manager insisted that the rotation did not Matter, and was arguing with me,and not willing to change this rotation on one tire. I took the tires Down to a Firestone dealer and he confirmed that the rotation Was indeed incorrect. A very simple fix that would take 10 minutes. My family has been going here for 20 + years, and they lost not only my business , but my wife's and my 3 sons. I had 4 bolts rust out and needed to be replaced. They called me at 9:08 and I told them to go ahead with the work. At 10:18 they called and said it was ready. Cost to have 4 bolts replaced and 70 minutes of work? $225.70. And he said that included a senior discount. read more

I stopped in twice and got very bad service. The first time I stopped in and it was about 5 mins to closing. All I needed was for them to put my car on the rack and see if anything is broken and we could go from there. Nope, they were closing! They wanted me to make an appointment! Just to look and see if something is broke?!?! (When I had my garage I took care of customers, no matter what, that's what brings them back.) My second encounter was I needed a short piece of pipe that was not available in the local automotive stores. The attendant said "we don't do that we only give that stuff to customers", I said, " what am I chopped liver?", "You mean you don't a a scrap bin you can go get a 1 foot piece of pipe and charge me some crazy amount?". He said, "no". I turned around and walked out I will never go back and will never recommend anyone go there. read more

I brought my car in after getting hit from the side. My car wasn't driving straight and it had an occasional stuttering sound. I picked up my car two weeks later after talking to three different people being told both a lot and nothing had been done. However, the car that I had dropped off now was smoking had my hydroplane warning light and check engine light on. They told me they think it's my frame I brought it to another shop and after just 10 minutes and a test drive there I was told they don't think it's my frame and they couldn't see any work that had been done. However they didn't charge me to screw up my car. read more

I don't know why, but every car I've had so far, has had muffler problems. It sucks, the exhaust pipes rust and crack - the first loud sound begins. Then, if you're as unfortunate as I am (3 times now), the muffler actually detaches and hangs at the rear of your vehicle and suddenly it sounds like you're driving a race car. I was recommended to try both Wisconsin Muffler on Lisbon and Wisconsin Muffler in New Berlin. Well, since two different people recommended WI Muffler, I figured it was high time that I got my car over there. They were open on a Saturday which is an automatic star in my book! They did a good job at getting my car in soon after I arrived and after they did the initial inspection, they brought me back and under my car so I could see all the rusted and cracked piping. They broke down all the pricing (rather quick), and after getting my signature, they were back to work. All in all, I think I was there for a maximum of 45 minutes and we replaced all of my exhaust pipes and muffler. The guy even suggested future repairs that he thinks I still needed (unrelated to exhaust). Best of all, I have a lifetime warranty on the muffler and it's good at all WI Muffler locations (that are open on Saturdays - unlike the last lifetime warranty that I had). read more

The most honest car repair shop EVER!. I have been here a dozen times. One time i thought i needed a new muffler and they came back and said i needed a clamp, no charge. Another time I went in as i thought i needed brakes, the guy told me i still had about 30% life left on them, no charge. Yet another time i went in to have a wheel bearing installed. My dash lights still popped on when i left. I took it back in and it was fixed with no questions asked. I really liked Gene as he was always so friendly. The new guy at New Berlin was kinda cranky the past few times i went in but still Ok. I have went in and needed service and I never doubt them. Like i said ,always honest and fair prices. read more

Wish I could give them 6 stars! My 2006 Sonata's muffler assembly had a crack & after inspecting my extremely loud car the repair shop tried to get a replacement muffler through a nearby dealership. We discovered however, this tough to obtain part (for a 2006 model) could cost me $1000 to $1200 with labor. The dealership and independent repair shop suggested that I contact Wisconsin Muffler. They both evidently refer customers to WM at times because Wisconsin Muffler has the specialized equipment to make certain tricky repairs & where a dealership would otherwise have to replace this particular assembly. Wisconsin Muffler didn't disappoint, OMG!! I dropped off the car that evening and received a call from WM by 10am the next day to tell me the repair would cost me $105 (plus a whopping $6 tax). The car was done by early afternoon & now sounds like new. This place is the best - saved me a ton of $$$ !!! read more

Car wouldn't start so I had it towed into Wisconsin muffler New Berlin to see what was wrong. They called me and said you wasted money on a tow, your car started right up. I stated it could not have just started right up then he tells me they charged the battery. I asked if it was the alternator, starter, or battery that was bad. He said they tested all of them and they are all good I must have left something on. Next day I come out of work and the car won't start. I immediately called them and the manager tells me I showed you the paperwork, nothing is wrong so I can't do anything if nothing is wrong. I had the car jumped and immediately went to batteries plus, they load tested the battery and it was bad so they put in a new one and I was on my way. I also have to mention that Wisconsin Muffler thought my car was staying there overnight and they had it locked but both back windows were completely down. read more

Service is bad... The manger is RUDE!! I walked in and he yelled from the back room .... "Be with you in a few minutes!" MINUTES... how crazy! I would have walked out, but I am sucked in because of the warranty I have. One year and I had to have my muffler replaced already. Cheap... junk, with rude service behind the counter. Someone told me that they went there today, and he told him he was too busy to help him. Nice customer service! Oh.... the guy in the garage that does all the hard labor is super nice! i went for an emission test. i got there when they opened. they allow cars to park for emissions when ever they please and the ones who obey the hours listed are shafted. i got there at 8 and wasn't tested til 8:20, because they allowed 2 cars to sit in their lot waiting for their emission tests. i always thought hours posted is exactly that and not came wait for an hour. then a car behind me scratches my car while parking. the manager was rude and didn't do anything but made me wait. an employee that saw the vehicles didn't say a word about opening at 8. to me bad experience and a scratched van. I needed to get my brakes fixed on my Tahoe. I called and spoke with a very friendly manager. He told me to bring my truck in for a FREE estimate and inspection. I explained to him that I was worried it was going to be a very expensive repair. He assured me that a mechanic would look at it and explain to me what needed to be done. I brought it in and received an estimate. The mechanic brought me out to the bay and explained in detail and showed me what needed to be fixed. I came back a week later and had the repairs done. I could not be happier with how my truck drives. I received excellent customer service and at a great price!!! Thank you!!! I've been here before and it's normally positive but pricey. The service today started out positive with a reasonable quote for 2 rear shocks and muffler. I had an earlier quote for the shocks and dropped my car off for a muffler quote. The manager called me back with a price that was acceptable. Now I go and pick up the car and its my turn to check out, the manager now notices I have one of their 10% off coupons as he is getting my invoice, starts to look grumpy. He says hold on and walks out to the shop to bring back a rusty shock to show me they replaced a shock mount for $50 and proceeds to redo the whole invoice. I said that didn't even look like one of my shocks (I was under the car a few days earlier) he assures my it is and wants to know if he should go get the other one too. I had a feeling it was not going to go well with the coupon since they redesigned there website that no longer includes service coupons, only for tires. A couple of other errors found were 2 charges for the enviromental fee 9.95 each, Tail pipe $10 - they used my existing tail pipe. I cannot reccommend this shop based on this experience. read more

Don't make the same mistake we did. The service here used to be phenomal with Gene and Derek, but its been awful the last several years with new managers and mechanics. Our cars ABS light came on, so we took it in. Got the 'great news' that it was just low on brake fluid, so they topped it off and we picked it up. The next day we hear an awful clunking noise coming from the wheel, it of course goes away before we get to the shop. We asked them to look at it b/c we were driving 7 hours on vacation later that week. They checked it out, said everything looked fine, have a nice trip. Two days later the ball joint gives out while on vacation, we get stranded, car has to be towed to a shop 35 miles away, on Labor Day weekend. Not only ball joint, but b/c it wasn't properly diagnosed earlier in the week, the extra wear and tear damaged the axle and all of the brake components too. $2000 vacation car repair. Thank you so much Wisconsin Muffler and Tire! BTW, we called them back after all this happened. Lets just say they were not very sympathetic at all. Completely denied any responsibility or negligence in missing the worn out bearings, which I've been told by several mechanically inclined people since this happened, is pretty easy/standard to detect. Horrible service and location smells horribly bad in the waiting area. Top it off with a rude Manager that doesn't honor discounts even though he said he would prior to work being done. Whoever works behind the counter was such a tool. It felt like my business was an inconvenience for him. Don't bother inquiring about scheduling a time to get whatever your issue is fixed/looked at, it's too much trouble for Wisconsin Muffler and they'd prefer you go somewhere else.
