I really love this market because it's so food-focused, which is like "duh" with all the beautiful farms in the immediate vicinity.. but many of the "farmer's markets" I visit at home in DFW are overrun with crafts, so it's nice to be at one that's truly focused on local farmers. We bought fantastic green garlic, onions, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, kiwis and bananas, apples, grapefruit and oranges, fresh rosemary, orange marmalade and cranberry pepper jam, a white lemon balsamic vinegar, our favorite Valley Ford farmers cheese, a lovely strip steak, and a bouquet of flowers to enjoy during our short visit. We thought the prices were great and even a bargain for the quality of food. And we got a little purple Healdsburg Farmer's Market t-shirt for Winnie!

I love this place and hope it never goes away. It's Iconic! I live downtown but drive out River Rd., so pretty, it's my secret "treat" myself and ME time. I also would rather buy my groceries here when he's open as I am really shopping locally owned businesses. PLEASE SHOP LOCALLY IF POSSIBLE.

I usually take a look around, and leave with my bags full because Mike's also carries a wide selection of other goods we enjoy like local honey, dried fruit, cold drinks, and home-style canned pickles, olives, etc. that do not disappoint. This is also where I purchase our bread because I have not found this level of softness AND freshness in any supermarket. Mike's is a come-as-you-are kind of establishment who's employees leave you alone to shop, but are there if you have a burning question. A typical stop here is around $30-43 for a family of two. Hot tip: Plan ahead, there is NO restroom.

Pumpkin Patch with the Russian River Valley as backdrop…read more We were driving along the Russian River Valley and saw signs along the road leading to this pumpkin patch so we stopped by to check it out. This is a family-run, community-oriented farm in the Sonoma County. The owner was nice and friendly. During our visit he only required that masks be worn at the check-in tent or when we paid for any purchases towards the end (at exit), other than that we just needed to be mindful of keeping 6-ft distance from other patrons. I forgot to bring my mask with me but they supplied a disposable one and I didn't have to run back to the car. The farm field was pretty big and there are pumpkins everywhere, direction of the field was one way so we followed the path, went through a cornfield (don't worry, it's not a maze) and made our way around until the exit. The pumpkin patch will be operating until Halloween. Enjoy lots of pumpkins, decorative gourds, winter squash and lots more. They don't have a corn maze, or fancy rides and bouncy houses which is okay with me. We enjoyed an authentic farm experience and the beautiful backdrop of the Russian River Valley. Review #2415

I was short on time, and didn't feel like waiting or looking for someone. The location is pretty cool, except the long dirt driveway that is guaranteed to get your car dirty. The nice picnic area out front will be great for a break between wineries. Can't wait for the fresh vegi's. I'll stop by after using Riverfront Regional Park.
