I've been seeing her for weekly massages three weeks in a row now. The most important thing I look for when I'm looking to book a massage is that the therapist will listen to me. I'm not going for fluff massages, I have lumbar problems and am looking to release tight muscles... these things are painful, and I need to feel confident that my therapist will listen when I start yelping in pain and know how to handle it. Every time I've been in for a massage we've found a pain point and she responds immediately to my pain levels to correct the issue at a level I can manage. Laura is a great listener, and completely tailors your time to your needs. We always start a session by talking about where I'm feeling the most pain, and where I feel I would like her to concentrate. We do some stretch work that she's shown me (showing just how dedicated she is to making sure I am taken care of, going beyond just massage), then move into the massage. I love that she goes out of her way to explain every single thing I have a question on, and so far has brought something completely new to the table EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. That's above and beyond to me. From stretches to ideas on how I can relax at work and work on my muscles at home by myself, to using products that are all natural (and smell FANTASTIC), she's always performing at 150%. She follows up via email midweek to see how I'm doing, checking in to see when the soreness/pain is returning and where, so she can be ready with what we're going to do the next week. I have no intentions of looking elsewhere for a massage therapist. I've already made appointments for my family members. I just came home from a massage with her and it's amazing how much better I feel. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a massage!

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the masseuse got there almost 15 minutes late (I know I scheduled my appt last minute, but if she couldn't make it then I could have just scheduled it for 4:15 instead of rushing there just to wait) and it was over 15 minutes of me laying there with a heating pad on my back before anyone came in. This got frustrating after a while because I could hear everyone talking up front so it wasn't peaceful, I didn't know it would be this long of an ordeal (I assumed maybe 5 minutes max of this would happen to warm my muscles up) and I have a heating pad at home if I want 15+ minutes of sitting with it on. Second, that's how I knew it was going to be a good massage! Good Asian food & massages are better when they barely speak English & have bad customer service lol I had to call a few times to get an appointment. I noticed she doesn't like to make appointments in advance, I got an appointment the day of. I go to the chiropractor every month, but my back still aches, so my chiropractor actually recommended getting massages. I had the combo massage for an hour at $80 & it felt way longer than an hour! Assumed this was half Thai & regular massage, which was great because last Thai massage I had elsewhere was SO PAINFUL. She started by standing on my back and dug her toes in & cracked my back in 4 different places! That's when I knew it was gonna be good! She cracked me in places I didn't even know could be cracked! She asked if I liked it hard in the beginning, so if you don't like it hard just let her know. I like it hard and this was almost perfect.. Thai massages I just assume are slightly more "hard" so I expected it to be, but wasn't overbearing. I must've had a tight right shoulder because she was massaging that area a lot & was relentless until it loosened up. She does full body front & back. She even cracked my neck & sides like my chiropractor does. It was an overall great massage. I actually plan on making this my massage place now. Will be coming back every other month for this massage! Heads up, she does answer the phone during massages which ruined the "zen" but didn't bother me as much. Also felt bad because the person on the phone couldn't understand her thick accent. She was like yelling "see you at 6 pm!" I assume she looses some clients over this.. If you have a bad back, I think Thai massages is the only thing that works. I spent around $130 for a Himalayan rock massage at another place & it was terrible. They just rubbed the rock on my body for an hour & did not touch me once! So hole in the wall Asian places is much better than the boujee massage parlors I been to.
