We explored both ends of the spectrum in our visit. My wife had the turkey on a roll which was delicious as expected. It was also nostalgic as it brought up memories of New York Public School field trips. I had the BK-9 sandwich - spicy grilled chicken, chopped curly fries, beef bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo. It was pretty decent but I would go for something else next time ... like the chopped cheese. Service: 5/5 Service is friendly and prompt. This deli has to be one of the best I've visited in New York. Not only was the vibe of the spot very nice, they also keep it very neat and clean. The service is impeccable--you're greeted with smiles and very kind interactions. And then the selection of drinks are the best I've seen and experienced in New York--they have drinks I've never seen in other spots, like better flavors and choices. AND THE CHOPPED CHEESE is ELITE. Our go-to deli on weekends. This is true epitome of neighborhood deli. They have a little bit of everything, great breakfast & lunch sandwiches, coffee, juice and all that. Their pastrami sandwich is delicious! But the most outstanding thing, is service. They know their customers, what we order, and how we want our order to be prepared even before we speak up. This is a new store. It looks new. The menu is newer and more up to date than all of the other bodegas. It's 24 hours which is nice. Prices are also rather moderate, which is also nice. They have a grill, salad bar, breakfast, deli etc. I had the usual, egg and cheese on a roll- Meunster cheese to be specific. It was two eggs, a nice service, all for $2.00. Can't complain. Great drink selection, they also have luna bars and protein bars. Not bad at all. Not bad. I have returned and will continue to return. This is my bodega. That might seem like a casual statement, but it could not be more serious. I love this bodega so much that I cross three bodegas on the walk to get to this one. In addition to peddling the best bacon egg and cheese I've had the pleasure to enjoy, they make a mean deli sandwich. Not to mention their grilled cheese. They make a MEAN grilled cheese with bacon, tomato, or all sorts of add ins. This is a grilled cheese worth getting excited about. Wise has a wide range of deli meats that are all fresh and reasonably priced. I often do half of my grocery shopping here, as they've got fresh bread, and plenty of other important groceries. While I've never tried a burger from here, I can imagine they'd be great...though the fries are a bit of a disappointment. All in all, I love me some wise. There's no place I would rather go to start my day with some friendly banter (or end my night when I'm stumbling back to my apartment). read more

Best Deli in the area. I'm a huge fan of their made-to-order food (especially their Cheeseburger Deluxe). I've also gotten their wings and they came out nice, hot, and crispy. What also came out nice, hot, and crispy? The fries that come with the Cheeseburger. Seriously, so good. The burger itself compares to fast food chain-quality (and I mean that in a good way b/c I love fast food) but tastes even more fresh. I'm a born-and-bred New Yorker, and never - ever - have I come across a "deli and grocery" (bodega) as consistent, friendly, and stocked as this one. The owners are obviously keen businessmen, as this is perhaps the best location to hold in the entire neighborhood, but this acumen shows in other ways, too. The menu offerings are modern and extremely palatable, the products are often locally-produced and/or "organic," and the prices are very reasonable. I also like how, in the morning, they without fail fill the air outside with a slight scent of bacon. A few tips: This place gets overrun with kids on their way to school during the morning rush hour, so fair warning: you will be walking into chaos if you go between 8 and 10 in the morning. The cooks are very kind but speak your order clearly and kindly because I have received the wrong order more than once. People forget how loud it can get standing in front of a commercial grill all day - I wish more of my fellow customers would take note of this and address the employees with more respect. There's no booze at this location. If you want that, go walk across the street to the other side of Franklin Ave. That corner bodega's got beer, and it neighbors a liquor store (the kind with the bulletproof glass between the customers and the goods - you know the kind of place.) $5 minimum on cards; a coffee and breakfast sandwich typically costs between $3 and $4 altogether. read more

The staff is always friendly but mainly this review is for their grilled cheese sandwich. It is sublime. Don't go in a hurry, they take their time and get it all browned and melty. It's not fancy or artisanal, but it is like the platonic ideal of nostalgia' homemade grilled cheese. For $1.50. The food might taste good, the staff might be friendly, but problems remain at the grill. I ordered a hero and while i'm waiting, a lady comes over and asks for a salad, right when I happen to see a fly come over and started picking at the mushrooms at the salad bar. Where did this fly come from? What else could it have touched that was outside? On top of this, as I ordered a philly cheese steak, near when the guy was finishing my sandwich, I saw him adjusting his phone that had a video displayed in front of him, then touch my sandwich. What is the point of wearing gloves, if you're touching your phone and potentially other stuff? This represents the stores lack of care for their customers. I highly recommend to purchase elsewhere. The sandwich makers shouldn't be monitored like little kids because they can't not use their phone when their making a sandwich. Besides, what the hell are you doing trying to watch something when you're supposed to be making a sandwich? Might be me but shouldn't your eyes be on the sandwich and not a video? read more
