Michelle gives shots and IVs so painlessly and quickly I wouldn't have known I got them if she hadn't insured I knew all about my care. The doc is also awesome. Came in to see me in less than 5 minutes and obviously possessed a plethora of medical knowledge. This being a delayed reaction, it isn't an easy case to identify and treat. Very happy I came here.

The male nurse at the check-in desk made him feel as if he didn't belong there because he didn't "look sick." When my family member got to the back, he was given a breathing treatment and was left in the room over 20 minutes after it completed. He also told the healthcare provider that he hadn't eating in over 10 hours and they still proceeded to give him medication that needed to be taken with food. When he got back home, he was vomiting all over the place. When he got his diagnosis, the male nurse (same person who checked him in) was surprised! He shouldn't have judged a book by it's cover. Just because a person doesn't look well does not mean they don't feel well in their body! Again, he was made to feel as if he just wandered in there off the street. We have wonderful insurance (even if we did not, it shouldn't make a difference b/c healthcare providers should treat each person the same). This family member is a college student in his senior year and needed the help and what does he get? Mistreatment and prejudice! I told him to not visit this place again; at least not on the 3rd shift. The people there obviously didn't want to do their jobs! High reviews? How? I'm very concerned for my family member to get care being so far from home while in college. THIS is why I worry because of people like this! Shame on you, "Total" Care.

I fell and broke my ankle while walking on my college campus last September 2022 and needed surgery…read moreif I ever wanted to walk again. As soon as I arrived to Medical City's ER in Denton I was immediately met with probably the rudest group of staff members I have ever encountered in my entire life. The front desk receptionist (I'd say in her mid 40's to 50's) was extremely rude to me as soon as I walked in. She had an attitude the entire time and acted as if she was mad or annoyed at me for "bothering" her with my injury. The nurse (mid 20's to early 30's with dirty blonde/brown hair) who checked me in/started triage was EVEN RUDER than the front desk lady, which I honestly didn't think was possible. She also acted as if she was annoyed at me coming in and "bothering" her, as if this isn't her job that she went through years of school for and CHOSE to do. I was in severe pain as I had just suffered a very bad break and obviously wasn't able to walk. Before I left the ER, the nurse gave me crutches to use to get around until the day of my surgery the next week. I have never had to use crutches up until then as this was my first time ever breaking a bone. I immediately had trouble using the crutches and lost my balance while trying to walk. The nurse told me to stand up and try to walk with them and then walked away to do something. As soon as I took my first step I immediately lost my balance and fell. The ONLY reason why I didn't fall all the way to the ground was because my boyfriend was able to catch me at the last minute. When this happened the front desk lady turned around and very angrily SCREAMED "YOU NEED TO GET UP AND BE MORE CAREFUL RIGHT NOW!!!". This was pretty much my breaking point with this ER as I OBVIOUSLY was being careful and would not just choose to fall on purpose. It's absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary to SCREAM at a person for not being able to use crutches after just suffering a severe ankle break. The last thing you want to deal when you are at your worst are rude staff members. These 2 women made my experience so miserable that I now refuse to ever go back to Medical City's ER in Denton when it used to be my go to ER for years. If you need to go to an ER I recommend going to a stand alone ER or just any ER other than Medical City's ER in Denton. I have had great experiences with other stand alone ER's located throughout the Denton/Flower Mound area. Despite this, I do want to mention one of the male staff members in particular. He was the X-ray technician (male, probably in his mid 20's to early 30's) and was the best ever. He was so so kind to me and just absolutely wonderful the entire time. He definitely made my shitty experience with the nurse and receptionist a little bit better and just my injury in general.

The Dr comes in yanks my sock off my foot sending me into a crying fit, they took X-rays looked at me and said " just a bad Sprain here is some crutches, ace wrap and you can go " called my workers comp people and they send me to another Dr and my ankle was broken in 2 places.

They have no right to make their own Compounds such as mixing B12 with semaglutide. That's truly considered a pharmaceutical scam. I believe if you do tirzepatide at their office, which is the more expensive one your shot should be clear and that would be okay. I was recommended to go here by one of my friends who mentioned that she started on the cheaper shot, which was the Semaglutide and that it didn't work for her but the reason why it didn't work is because it's mixed with B12 and you don't really know how much you really are getting of the actual Semaglutide. I do not recommend going there for that reason.

My first 2-3 nurses were very kind, helpful and went out of there way to bring me pain meds without having to ask, checked on me periodically, made sure I didn't need help to the bathroom or a refill on my water. The last nurse I had there was terrible! I don't remember her name but she was a middle aged brunette working the late night/early morning shift. I noticed immediately when she first came in the room that she had an attitude problem. She didn't make eye contact, acted cold, treated me like an idiot and was mad anytime I asked for pain meds, water etc. Then, I asked her when dinner was being served because for the first time in almost two days I was ready to attempt to actually eat. She yelled at me and gave me a vague time table. Two hours later I buzzed her just to inquire about dinner and she yelled at me again and accused me of being impatient. Another hour later, after not having my dinner yet and seeing a dinner clean up cart being rolled down the hallway I buzzed her again... She said that dinner had already been served and cleaned up and I should have received it. My dinner was finally given to me but it was freezing cold and it seemed like they just threw a bunch of stuff on a plate for me because they were out of hot food. After I ate my husband decided to leave the hospital for about an hour to get some fast drive-thru dinner for himself. When he returned and tried to return to my room the nurses told him that I had checked out and left the hospital. After him having to argue with them for over ten minutes to prove that there was no way that I had left, they went to check my room and sure enough I was still there. Apparently SOMEONE erased my name off of the nurses board which is probably why I was ignored, not served meals and my husband almost turned away. To me that is just awful, who forgets about a patient? Before it was time to leave the next morning the same mean nurse came in to change my dressings before I left. She "stripped" my drainage bulb which was incredibly painful! When I screamed in pain she said "What is wrong with you? This doesn't hurt, I have done this same thing to hundreds of people and NOBODY ever said they felt anything" basically completely disregarding my pain and practically calling me a liar. One more thing about this nurse, my doctor was unable to visit me in the hospital for a family emergency so he told her to give me aftercare instructions. She gave me ALL of the wrong instructions. She told me I didn't need to wear my compression garment, she told me not to remove gauze from my belly button or to clean my belly button wound etc. When I visited my surgeon a few days later he was extremely mad that I had not been wearing my compression garment or cleaning my BB and it was infected. Bottom line is, this hospital is okay depending on who cares for you... but having my name erased from the patients list and not cared for is dropping the ball BIG TIME.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!…read more Tried to get my son an appointment here. I had emailed them everything they requested. Except his shot record. As we delay. I went for my 1st visit today and I was so BEYOND impressed with the entire clinic…read more I checked in, turned over my paperwork (that I was emailed and able to fill out ahead of time), and was handed a pager. The staff doesn't shout your name out when they're ready for you and I loved the privacy of that. Having everyone in the waiting room know your name has always bothered me a little. My buzzer went off and I walked to the door way and was greeted pleasantly! The nurse was informative and walked me through each step, making sure I didn't feel uncomfortable or lost. She was truly caring and asked great questions, took notes on my history, and was engaged. Holly Groom, the midwife, was my care physician and I was so thankful to have her! I have never had such a respectful exam in my life. She did what she needed to do with no judgment. Made sure I felt comfortable and didn't linger. I've never felt so at ease or respected. Then I went inside for an appointment that I had scheduled weeks in advance. I specifically had to arrange my work schedule around this appointment because they did not have later appointment times available. When I arrived, I was told that my appointment had been canceled. I asked, "By who?" I was told it was because I had apparently been scheduled into a 15-minute time slot. I explained that I did not make the appointment myself, I called the main number, and someone from their office scheduled it for me. I was never contacted to let me know there was an issue with the appointment or that it had been canceled. The response was essentially that it was too late in the day and I would have to reschedule. I showed up. I rearranged my work schedule. I made the appointment weeks ago. And nobody had the courtesy to call me and tell me it was canceled? If there was an issue with the appointment being booked incorrectly, that is something the office should have caught and communicated before I drove there and took time off work. I will never be returning to this facility. If you value your time and don't want to rearrange your work schedule only to arrive and find out that your appointment was canceled without anyone notifying you, I would seriously think twice before booking here. I'm sure there are much better OBGYN facilities in the Denton area that actually respect their patients' time.
