I would never board my dog here again. My puppy stayed here for three days, and I was extremely disappointed with the level of care she received. One of the reasons I chose this facility was because I expected my puppy to receive playtime, attention, and socialization. I checked the live cameras multiple times a day, every day she was there. Other than a few minutes of interaction when she first arrived, I never saw her receive any playtime or socialization with staff or other dogs. For nearly her entire stay, she appeared to be left alone in her kennel except when staff came to feed her or clean up after her. That is not the level of care I expected for a young puppy. To make matters worse, I requested a groom on her last day before pickup. When I arrived, I was shocked to see that she had been completely shaved. I understand she had some minor matting, but shaving her down without calling me first to explain the situation or ask for my approval was completely unacceptable. As her owner, I should have been given the opportunity to make that decision. Overall, the lack of communication and care was incredibly disappointing. I trusted this facility with my puppy, and I left feeling like she was treated as nothing more than a kennel to clean and feed. I have been a bringing my dog, King, to this location for about 3 years now. He started going for daycare when he was a little less than 1 year old. The staff have always been attentive, they have helped with advice for treats, shampoo options and more. One time, King was injured by a car near our home. He could not attend daycare but I needed to attend a work meeting. I talked to the staff and they arranged for King to be in a private room for the day and took care of him, put on his medicine and gave him the royal treatment. We now live in Richmond, but still make the drive to Missouri City for our pets grooming, teeth cleaning, & food. Yes, it's that good! Recently, my pet was diagnosed with Cancer. I met with the owner, Tammi, who assured me that my Maltipoo would receive special attention from the groomer while receiving Chemotherapy, such as a 2 hour window for grooming (she couldn't stand on her rear legs long). The pups have gone here twice now for grooming and it's been perfect each time. The place is small and clean, and the staff extremely friendly-they clearly love dogs. Their prices are good and both times the grooming results have been great. The second time I even got some color art put on the pups' flanks, which is super cute. I love that, if your pup is vaccinated and social, they can interact with the other pups in the open pen in front rather than be crated while waiting before and after their grooming. We are moving out of the area, but if we weren't, we would definitely continue to come here. As it is, we plan to drop the pups off for daycare on moving day so they can have fun (and be out of the way). read more

Rho did a great job grooming my 38-lb standard poodle. My husband and I were satisfied with the result. The reason why we decided to try Wishbone was that we were looking for a more affordable option compared to the $90+ full grooming price that we have been paying at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Sugar Land. Wishbone lured me in because it has a new customer discount and for future visits a frequent-grooming discount (like if you get grooming done every 2, 3, or 4 weeks consistently). However, even with the new customer discount, the pricing ended up being similar or even a few dollars higher than Woof Gang. AND they close earlier on weekdays than Woof Gang, which means you have less time to pick up your dog after work -- so overall we probably will stick to Woof Gang for our regular grooming needs. But Wishbone is a good backup for us because Rho did such a great job! read more

Luna got the wishlist and also did boarding with them for a day. She had lot's of fun socializing with other dogs. The staff was so professional. Prior to the appointment, I had called to ask a billion of questions. Tammy was very enthusiastic at helping and answering my questions. They didn't recommend Luna to get the ultimate service (full body haircut) until 6 months, because they didn't want to cut her baby fur yet. We opted for the wishlist and she came back looking fresh. Albeit pricy, because Luna was a 10lb 3 month old terrier, but it still costed $50 even though she didn't get a full body haircut. Wishlist starts at $35, so I thought it would be around that price for a small puppy. Her nails were already trimmed prior too. Boarding was $50 total. We did early boarding as well and added unlimited play time. Overall, the staff really liked Luna and seemed to love their jobs. I would take Luna here again but during deals or promotions. For regular haircuts, I would take her some place else more affordable. read more

This doggie spa is tops! I love bringing my little Italian Greyhounds here for their teeth cleanings and nails. The best teeth cleaning deal in town! I really like that they don't have to put the dogs under to clean their teeth. Italian greyhounds are known not to wake up from anesthesia so I don't want to risk it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. The groomer that took care of my dog was careless, did not care about what you I asked for, or my Dog's well being. I have come here 3 times and the last two were awful. This time they CUT UP MY DOG AND DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE TILL I CAME BACK TO CONFRONT THEM. They also REFUSED to give me a full refund. I only got a partial refund. I messaged this place through their website and their response time was pretty fast. I ordered a cake and possibly the ice cream cone set if the cake was unabailable. Because I work in Humble, I had someone pick it up for me. The cake looked lovely, but VERY rock hard. We had a hard time cutting it open. We ordered bacon and cheddar, but it was rice cakes smothered in peanut butter. I didn't really mind, but it would've be nice to get what I ordered. Then, one of the dogs who ate the cake started throwing up the cake the next day. My dog also started pooping up parts of the cake. My dogs were suppose to get a bath today at 11 am And the staff were to call me for pick up at 3pm. (This was scheduled on Monday at 4pm and confirmed by the staff) I never received a call so I contacted them at 3:45pm only to find out neither dog had been bathed. I was then asked to bring them back tomorrow. I live on the other side of town and can not do that. The groomer left for the day and was not able to give them a bath and nail trim. The staff member bathed them but was unable to do the nail trim. I was charged for a groomer bathe which was not given. I dropped my dogs off with a half full container of food (15 days worth) when I picked them up there was only 2 days at most portions of food left. The dogs were dropped off Saturday and picked up Wednesday. 13 days of food are missing and the dogs were only there for 4 days!! What happened to the 9 days of food that is missing?? I will not be bringing my dogs back here. This is a shame because the dogs enjoyed coming to this location. I have never had issues in the past and have been coming here almost a year. But what happened today is unacceptable and no one attempted to remedy the situation at all. Poor customer service. On top of that the staff that checked me out gave me the wrong email to send my complaint to! Please retrain your staff as you just lost a lifelong customer due to their incompetence. I was willing to drive over 20 miles to bring my dogs here. But no longer after what happened today. read more

If i could give negative stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO Wishbone pet care. My shin-tzu, Pebbles was left in the care of Wishbone to get a bath. Pebbles had been to Wishbone in the past and they've always done a good job but the last time I took my dog to Wishbone, they let her fall off of the grooming table and she had a seizure. I've had Pebbles since I was in the fifth grade and I am 21 now so she is a big part of the family. Although Wishbone offered to pay for her surgery, they were not willing to comply with the after-care expenses and because I did not have the funds to pay for her physical therapy(because she could not walk) I had to do the best that I could at home. I work a full time job in the medical field and 12 hour shifts. Unfortunately I was not able to keep pebbles at home and had to board her. I ended up paying $900 out of MY pocket because of WISHBONE PET CARE's NEGLIGENCE. Please, if you love your pet and they are apart of the family like my poor Pebbles was, do NOT take them to Wishbone. read more

I brought my miniature schnauzer here recently on recommendation by a friend and was not disappointed. I am SO happy with how wonderful my pup looks!! Schnauzers can be tricky to cut and these groomers know what they are doing. What I like about Wishbone: 1. Excellent communication/service- the receptionist, Tammy, kept us informed of all changes and possible delays the day of the grooming. They even kept our needs in mind and got him out faster since we had previously scheduled plans that day. 2. Attention to detail- an updated copy of your pet's vaccination records is required before grooming. 3. Doggy day care- I love that my baby dog can run around and play with new friends while waiting to be groomed. 4. Product- a good groomer is hard to find. My dog was expertly cut, so I will for sure be back! The pricing here isn't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. It's worth it for a good cut, in my opinion!
