Do NOT recommend. I'll lead with this: I actually bought the exact Kia Sportage SX-Prestige that I test drove here, same trim and same specs, from a completely different dealership. That should tell you everything. I came into Witham Kia with no intention of buying that day as I would want to have the weekend to think over such a big purchase, which I made clear before I even walked through the door. The sales associate, Daniel, acknowledged it, and then proceeded to ask me the same question over and over as if repetition would change my answer. I had to threaten to walk out before he finally moved on. The test drive itself was the strangest dealership experience I've ever had. Rather than letting me drive off the lot independently, which every other dealership I visited that same day had done without hesitation, Daniel insisted on driving me first. Fine, weird, but fine. Except he didn't stay local. He drove me over five miles away from the dealership to some parking lot near Washburn before handing over the keys. I'm a bigger guy and I wasn't afraid, but I kept thinking about how unsettling that would feel for someone else. That's not a test drive protocol; that's a red flag. Throughout the drive, the conversation was peppered with excessive profanity. Not the occasional word, but far beyond that. It felt less like a professional interaction and more like I was stuck in a car with someone who had no idea how to read a room. When I tried to leave afterward, again, as I had stated from the very beginning, both Daniel the sales associate and Daniel the sales manager (they both are named Daniel, but Daniel the sales associated isn't listed on their official website despite him working there) pressured me to come back inside. As I began to make my way out, I heard the sales manager say out loud that I was an "A" word, in front of other people on the lot; employees and potential customers. Pro: Absolutely nothing. Con: The boundary-ignoring, the off-lot detour, the unprofessional language, the pressure tactics, and a sales manager who insults customers on their way out. All of it. Tip: Go elsewhere. I went to a different Kia dealership and had a completely smooth experience to buy the exact same vehicle. The car itself is great, just don't buy it from Witham. read more

We only dealt with Witham Body Shop. We have used them for two accidents. They are absolutely fabulous! Our insurance company tried to short us on factory parts and did not provide a rental car. Angie, the head of the department, was more invested in our well- being than our insurance company. With every bump in the process, and there were MANY, Angie went to bat for us. She stood up for us and got the best parts and the best coverage from the company. This was the service that we had expected from our insurance company but instead received from Witham Auto Body on La Porte Road in Waterloo. We cannot emphasize how well these people do their jobs. They are very professional. They are very knowledgeable in their field. This department is great with communication and information. They are the most dependable in this area. We would certainly use them again if we found it necessary. read more

Will not fix issues that are clearly covered under the 2 warranties that were provided with the purchase of the vehicle. Endless phone calls with no results. Very disappointing. Not a good way to retain customers. read more

Recieved an offer to pay my first payment, and find out it's only if I buy a new car. I just bought a new car 3 weeks ago and haven't even made a payment. There is nothing that says it's a new deal it actually says it's an offer for me. Called and was treated like crap, they don't care about their customers once you have bought the car. I will not buy from them again or recommend them to anybody.....very unprofessional and rude once you buy the car. read more

Have dealt with this company twice. Once in its La Port City location and once at its Cedar Falls location. In working with the La Port City location I was purchasing a new car. They made it clear that there was not going to be any negotiation on the price of the car, I pay sticker or someone else will. No attempts were made to add any value to the sale. The second experience was at the Cedar Falls Store. I was looking at a used truck on their lot. and after negotiating with them for 45 minutes I had to shake my head and just walk out of the office. Did a quick Internet search and Spend thousands less for a better truck. Long story short Buyer Beware when dealing with this company. read more

Had our Escape in for service and was treated very respectfully. The keep my informed of everything before doing it. Also there was a comfy waiting room with toys and crayons for the little one. As well as coffee, popcorn and vending machines. Of course I walked outside and looked at new cars. They found me and tried to sell as car as normal but didn't happen. I'm from Las Vegas, NV and I got stranded in Waterloo when the air suspension on my 2006 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas failed during a cold snap while on my way to a funeral in Janesville, WI. I dropped off my Jaguar at Witham Auto on La Porte Rd to have the suspension fixed. They did not have the proper test equipment for my car since the Ford air suspension test equipment does not have the same connectors. They were not comfortable with throwing parts at the problem even with my consent and I left the car there when I had to return to Las Vegas. Sounds like it should be a fail and a one star review, right? Let me explain how these wonderful people came through for me. One day I called and came up with an idea. What if I ordered a coilover conversion kit from Strutmasters and sent them the kit? I called and talked with my service advisor Barry Jensen and proposed the idea. He put me on the phone with the head suspension and alignment tech and together we hashed out the details of the repair. I finalized a price with Barry and parts were ordered and I sent them to the dealer. Yes, I did have to make a return trip by flying in to one of the smallest airports that I've ever seen, but they even picked me up from the airport and didn't charge me extra for the two months that my car sat at their dealership. In the end these guys really came through for me and I couldn't be happier given the circumstances. I'm back in Las Vegas now and the car drove immaculately with the new suspension and I'm so happy to know I'll never have to worry about air suspension again. one of the worst decisions I've ever made was buying a vehicle here. since driving it off the lot, it has been in the shop nearly every other month (7 times in less than a year and a half), totaling well over $3,000 in repairs. further yet, they have refused to even budge on helping cover ANY of these costs! the term 'sleazy car salesmen' has never seemed more fitting.. steer very clear of this "business". read more

I can't even rate this dealership with one star. I should have read the reviews prior to purchasing. Bought a 2008 Pontiac G6 for my son from them in December. Within the first month it needed a new serpentine belt, new blinker motor, new battery, started to leak oil, one of the brand new tires wouldn't hold air and needed a new water pump. They replaced the water pump for a $50 charge but refuse to fix anything else. Including the new tire which should be under warranty. I have bought many used cars in my day and this is the worst service I have ever received. Will never purchase from them again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. They told me they don't know what's wrong with it. It's a Ford dealership and a Ford car! But they wanted to sell me a $600 starter that I just has replaced two days prior. I took my vw jetta to dick witham's dealership in Cedar Falls, Iowa for it's 20,000 mile service. After the service, I did some errands around town, then drove home, about 35 miles away. Shortly before getting home the oil light came on, so I called back to withams and the gal at the service counter said, it is just telling you that you need to get the oil changed, when your in town stop in and we will reset the light. I told her I didn't think so. When I got home I looked under the car and oil is running out. So vw towed the car back to cedar falls. They basically cleaned the oil from under the car and refilled the car and said it was ready for pick up. They would not give any additional warranty for any damage that may effect the engine down the road. I would never buy a car from withams or a vw product again. read more
