Several types of fake meat for the vegans. Ronnybrook Farms dairy. Wheatgrass shots. Pre-made salads that actually look good. A serious selection of Asian eats (noodles, kimchi, sushi, etc.). All the sauces, dressings, canned and packaged goods you might want...it's like Whole Foods up in here, with better prices. I felt awful because I meant to wake up earlier so they wouldn't have to go out in the heat. A very nice guy came by like 20 minutes later with my order. I asked him if I could tip over cash app or Venmo because I didn't have any cash and you couldn't tip on the site. He absolutely refused, I insisted, and he told me that he wasn't even the delivery guy. He said that they gave the delivery fairies a couple days off because it was so hot. I'm not sure if he was the manager or what, he had a lot of tattoos up and down his arms and was white or light skinned (the lighting is horrible in my hallway), but he was so sweet! I have a broken ankle right now but once I can get out of the house I am showing up there and tossing a 20 in the tip jar. I've lived in Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and NY. I read about marshmallow root being good for sore throats and coughs and decided to stop in for the dried root as well as a tincture in case the tea was rejected. I also have been suffering from migraines with the change of weather and picked up some peppermint oil. The marshmallow root tea was tasty to me but my little hated it. I opted for the tincture in some juice and it helped break up her cough. I tried to interact with the dog to establish trust and then quickly went on with my purchase. I purchase my items and as I was about the leave, the dog ran behind me and bit me on the thigh. The cashier gave me an attitude and said sorry, which truly didn't feel authentic. When I asked to speak with the manager, she gave me an attitude again, letting me know that she was the manager. She felt that being bitten, was just a nip, and I should disregard it and go about my day. Having an establishment where there is a dog who can potentially attack a customer and then shrugging it off as no big deal, and that the customer is the problem, is sadly poor business practice.
