Listen up, it's important you get a grip on the situation at your establishment. I run a local business in the vicinity and I'm an active member of the hospitality sector for the past nine months. Over the course of this period, I've referred a minimum of three of my guests to your place for their tire troubles. The first instance was a blatant display of unprofessionalism by an employee called Brody. Albeit grudgingly, I assumed he may have been having a rough day and didn't jump to conclusions. Today however, the behavior repeated itself. Yet another guest of mine was met with nothing but rudeness. When I confronted the bloke about his name, all he had to say was that he was the manager and threatened that if I were to march into his office with a sense of entitlement, it'd be better if we took our business elsewhere. No explanation or apology offered. Can you fucking believe that? I am leaving it up to you to untangle the mess that your establishment is quickly becoming. The staff is very rude. When you 1st walk in you notice a lot of signs stating we don't deal with rude customers, Karen's not welcome here and so on. Kinda weird right? Well once you interact with the staff you know why. The signs now tell me they have bread such a negative culture thier on the offense all the time looking for the negative in people. That's why they have so many Karen's. Your labeled a Karen before you walk in. I have never seen a business that has had to put up signs to defend thier poor attitudes and customers service. The signs gives them away to flip there negative outlook onto a customer. Don't waste your hard earned money with these guys. read more

I pulled in this morning hoping I could get four new tires at some point today. Brody was so friendly and helpful. We talked about my current tires, needs, and replacement options. I drove away with new tires in an hour and paid half of what the dealership quoted me. I just wish I had known yesterday they are also a NC inspection site or I would have had that done there as well. Very Rude and unprofessional! They say they have a policy against customers being rude but yet they are very rude themselves to their customers and has even trained their staff to be rude as well . I would highly NOT recommend this business. Go take your business else where you are treated like a real customer and not a laughing stock. They will laugh at you if your card is declined but sure will take any other form of payment you have while laughing in your face. I guess they don't realize if it wasn't for the customers they wouldn't even have a job ! I bought 4 tires here a year ago, and they recently began to deflate. When I went by to have them take a look, I was told it was my fault for not rotating them more frequently and that I needed all four tires replaced. I couldn't believe in one year I needed to replace my 60k tires, with only taking one (800 mile) long trip. He shut down when his conclusion was questioned, and didn't want to solve the issue. I asked to talk to the person above him but he told me that wasn't possible. I asked for his name and he didn't give it. He told me I could take my business elsewhere. (I did). No accountability here or concern for the customer. I went to another place, URTD tires, that actually inspected my tires and assured me that two of my tires were in good shape. The two back tires did need replacing since they found a nail in one of the tires. These two experiences were like night and day. read more

Excellent experience at WNC Tire. Service was quick, efficient, and affordable. We had a screw in one tire and had put the spare on ourselves. Brody patched our old tire, refilled the air, and switched back the tires very quickly. Total was $20. No appointment needed, we called ahead to double check and they said they don't take appointments and to just head over. One car was finishing as we arrived. We were helped immediately. went in and initial younger man was very friendly and helpful. however once I had the tires back in my possession I noticed there were a couple spots where they had bent the rim trying to remove the old ones. when I went in to bring it to their attention I was met with nothing but hostility. the I'm assuming owner by how he was lazily polishing his big white jeep the entire time the work was being done started to do nothing but cuss me, insult the paint work I had done, threaten me with police intervention and demand I leave. saying it was physically impossible for a tire machine to bend a rim and I need to stop with the lies and false accusations. he did not even offer to take a look at the rims. no offer of even a sorry it might have been us but we're not fixing it. nothing but a big screw you and leave. honestly stunned by how this grown man went from 0 to 100 that fast. read more

Worst experience ever. I had a tire replaced on my truck, drove about 30 miles and luckily noticed in my mirror that my wheel was coming off of the truck while going down the interstate. I called to explain the situation to the owner of WNC tire, he was short with me refused to listen and hung up on me. I went by the shop to show him the pictures and videos of the damage to my vehicle. He was belligerent and refused to look at the pictures he also accused me of cussing at him. My intentions were for him to see that they did not tighten the Lugnuts sufficiently so that this would not happen to someone else. I understand people make mistakes but his unwillingness to even listen to me or look at the pictures was absolutely ridiculous. He threatened to call the the police to have me removed from the business absolutely ridiculous not once did I cuss him, not once did I say anything out of line to him.the owner of WNC tire is A hothead and needs to learn customer service skills. de-escalation tactics may be a good plan for his future. read more

I find the description that the owner placed on this site saying "free tire rotations and hazard repair for life", amusing. Allow me to explain. For years, My husband and I have given WNC tire our business, since they opened on Highway 70 in Swannanoa. We have never had a bad experience...Until today. I have also always had my tires rotated here because, as it says in the owners description, it was included with your purchase. Today I took my car in, like I have for many years. When the technician finished and handed me my keys, he told me I could check out at the window. I found this odd, because usually they hand me my keys, give a brief rundown of my tire wear, I tip them and am on my way. Anyway, I went to the office window and the man at the window told me I owed $15.00. When I asked him why I was being charged, but hadn't in the past, ( It wasn't about the amount, it was the principal of being charged) he told me that "post pandemic, they started charging for rotations". I knew this not to be true, because we just purchased tires from them last year, and I have had my tires rotated since then. He then proceeded to tell me that he wasn't showing any record of the purchase of tires. But then found the purchase, and said he didn't have any record of us ever having any tire rotations done. I told him that I have always come in to have rotations done, and didn't understand why there was now a charge, when there wasn't in the past. He got an attitude and said "All I can tell you, is that there is now a charge, and you can either pay it, or we can put your car back in the garage and 'unrotate' the tires and you won't have to pay." WHAT?? About this time, a man in the little attached office came in and sat down and said to me very loudly "HEY, CAN YOU READ THE SIGN?" What he was referring to was a large sign hanging on the front window reading "No Karens". Apparently, after reading the multiple other unfavorable reviews, the sign must be a poor and unprofessional attempt to take zero responsibility for shady business practices, when questioned. I walked outside to call my husband, and he suggested that I ask to speak to the owner, because he had dealt with him many times, and had always had a good experience. So I did. The man behind the window said "I am the owners son, and he isn't going to tell you anything different than what I am telling you." I then asked another man in the garage to speak to the owner, and he walked me over. I was in disbelief, that I was standing outside the same office of the man who moments before yelled for me to read the "No Karen's" sign. Unbelievable that This man is the owner!! He ignored me standing there, so I tapped on the window. When he finally decided to come out, he told me that if I wanted my tires rotated at no charge, I had to purchase a separate maintenance plan. I told him that was never the case in the past, but he was adamant about it. As I was standing there, still trying to have a conversation, he shut the door in my face! My husband arrives, thinking it had all been a misunderstanding, and wanting to try and have a rational conversation with the owner, but was told by the son, that the owner didn't want to talk to him. When my husband sees the owner walk by, he tells him he would like to speak with him. The owner walks into the office, with his phone, recording us. My husband tries to have a conversation with him, but he was too irrational, saying that I was trying to get the rotation for free, and that I was screaming at "his tech" (Son) who doesn't make enough money to put up with this. To which I replied 'Did I ever say I wouldn't pay?' He has the nerve to untruthfully say, as he's recording, 'Yes you did, multiple times'. I also never screamed at anyone. My husband told him we didn't want anything for free, we were just questioning why we were being charged now after all of these years. He told us to just leave or he would call the police. Needless to say, they will never receive another penny from us, and my advice would be to go ANYWHERE but this place for your tire needs. read more

The owner of this company "seems" to be a good sales person and the store is really clean and neat but beware if you have any problems or issues with your brand new tires, they will not help you in any way! Poor service. Owner is adversarial. Refused to stand behind tire warranty. Defective new tire on car one month. Small piece of gravel poked through the tire. Owner of WNC Tire first offered to patch tire which we accepted and then he refused to follow through when we asked for tire manufacturer's phone number to inquire about manufacturer warranty. Refused to add air to spare tire so we could safely make our way to another provider. Incredibly rude. Highly recommend avoiding this business. They seem great at first but do not follow through with stated warranty and the business owner is argumentative. I've never ever left a negative online review. This experience was so bad I left this review while sitting in their parking lot. We are long time locals and I am a business owner myself. I cannot imagine treating a customer in this way. We were polite and patient. I only asked for the tire manufacturer's phone number, not to complain about the service provider, but to inquire about a tire warranty.
