I've patronized Wok about a half-dozen times in the past three months or so. I appreciate that there's a drive-thru, and I appreciate that online ordering is easy and accurate. Wok also does a good job for people with food sensitivities. I can't eat onions, and when I request no onions, there are no onions. (There are some exceptions, as with pre-purchased base items like rangoons or when they've made a large batch of something for the day). It's a particular treat for me to get basic fried rice with no onions instead of having to get plain white rice as I have at other Chinese restaurants. Unreasonable people might be angry that not every request can be accommodated or that it takes a few minutes for them to make items to order, but that's part of patronizing a public restaurant instead of paying for a private chef! I cannot overstate how important consistency is when dealing with allergens and sensitivities like this, and Wok has consistently left onions out of the items when requested. My family really appreciates the fresh vegetables, noting that it's restaurant quality spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, and broccoli in their soups and entrees--not overcooked, but fresh and hot. More expensive places often overcook the vegetables. My mother and husband both appreciate the soups, although the tomato and spinach wasn't as good to them as the rich wonton and the gently spicy sweet-and-sour; Mom was hoping for a tomato-based broth, and it was a simple vegetable broth that had added tomatoes and spinach. That's the only item on the menu we wouldn't recommend. This is a lower socio-economic area. Morrow is fortunate to have Wok, and I'm fortunate to live within a mile of it. I'm sorry I hate to give a bad review, I really do but sometimes it just has to be said.....My food was trash. I ordered the honey sesame chicken with fried rice and a spring roll and this food was not good at all. The one positive thing is I didn't pay a lot for it. I have been coming here for about 10 years now and food is always amazing! Everyone is so nice and it does take too long either. They even have a drive thru! Inside there is some seating, but I usually just take it to go anyway! Would recommend trying the Mongolian Chicken! read more

I use to come here quite a bit but last few times I notice the quality of food has gone down. The wings are not tasty like they use to be. The fries taste half cooked and old looking. I threw the fries away when i got home. The crab ragoons are sloppy made. I decided I will not waste my money on mediocre food. The owner isn't helpful either when you ask for the food to be fresh and hot. I would advise anyone to just go up the street to Panda Express. I eat here often and I have never been disappointed. I have tried the bourbon chicken with shrimp fried rice and it was delicious. The only complaint I have is the small containers that the meal comes in. One side is the meat and the other side is a smaller portion of fried rice. I really like the fried rice so I wish there was more of it. I have tried the house fried rice as well and it was very good. I also love their chicken egg roll and spring rolls. They are always fresh, crispy and delicious. So if you haven't tried them, you should. You won't regret it. read more

What happened to this place?? It used to be so good. Hubby and I stopped in today for two Mongolian chickens and lemon pepper wings. Took it home. The whole way home I kept saying "what is that smell"! Well it turned out to be the food. It was a burnt chemical smell. We have been coming to this place for years and it has been going downhill the last two. We had pretty much stopped coming but thought we would give it another try. Absolutely our last visit! Excellent experience. Only three workers in the kitchen but the service was very fast. Would have liked seeing a higher Heath score (81=B) but the place was clean, workers were wearing masks. They were taking drive thru orders as well as in person orders and filling Door Dash deliveries. VERY IMPRESSED!! The second time getting food here, first by delivery, this time I -person. Cashier was super friendly and efficient even with testy in-person customers. My order was correct, quickly prepared, and a large portion of food. The lady in there was rude, their new African American employee messed up something and the lady never apologized she just said she's new and charged the man ahead of me for a soda(why not just give it to him). I read the reviews on Yelp and they were hit and miss but I decided to give this place a try anyway. When I first walk in I was optimistic because it looked clean and tidy. So, I place my order and as I'm handing the cashier my card, I look up and happen to see their rating. It's a C. I was like $h^t!! Well, it's too late, plus I'm STARVING, I'll just pray over it and keep it moving. They also had a steady flow of patrons so I was hopeful that the food was good. I get home, bust open the containers, start to dig in, take my first fork full and....eeewww. I ordered the teriyaki beef with white rice and steamed dumplings. The beef HAD NO TASTE!! If I could give this place a zero star I would ! The food was horrible! Starting with the egg rolls! They have a weird after taste and don't have any flavor or chicken inside and I ordered chicken egg rolls. The supposedly stuffed crabmeat and cheese Rangoons were stale and had a burnt or d oil taste not to mention hardly had any stuffing either! The lo mein I ordered was the wrong one ! I ordered shrimp and beef and they gave me some with chicken ! Let's get to the beef and broccoli, horrible! The beef was extremely chewy and the pieces were big couldn't even swallow it with out having to worry about choking! The fried rice was bland and pretty much plain, (was probably better off getting white rice)no flavor what so ever! The only thing I could say was some what decent was their egg drop soup! And last but not least they forgot our hot mustard and hot oil sauce that we were also charged for! Not worth the 33.00 +$5 tip we paid! I can't complain. The menu is limited. I think that the quantity was less than other Asian cuisine rest. The curry wings are great! You can't find them anywhere else nearby. I'm always intrigued with carryout spots in other parts of the country, so I decided to see how the Atlanta area performs with their carryout. I walked inside and immediately noticed that the restaurant was very clean. They also have some nice seating arrangements if you wish to sit down and enjoy your delicious meal. I ended up getting the Family Meal for $22.99. You get your pick of 2 entrees ($1 more if you pick entrees from a specialty list), 2 large orders of fried rice or white rice, and an appetizer. I speculated if getting 3 entrees instead of the family meal would be beneficial, but the young lady told me that we would be better off getting the family meal because the containers would be filled with meat, in oppose to the separate entrees being half meat and half rice. I was very appreciative of that breakdown. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the bourbon chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty good. It wasn't overly greasy and it had a nice crisp on the outside. The sweet and sour sauce was pretty good as well. It wasn't watered down and it had a nice honey consistency that paired nicely with the chicken. The bourbon chicken was very tender and delicious. It too had a nice sauce consistency. The fried rice was just okay, not the greatest I've had. The crab rangoons were jammed packed with cream cheese. The spring rolls were pretty good. They do not have egg rolls, so don't bother looking for them. The chicken wings were pretty good when they're paired with some chicken wing sauce. I'd pass on the french fries next time. I stumbled upon this place on a trip to the southside for a haircut. As a lover of Asian food, I had to give it a try. I saw the high impact reviews on Yelp and did just that. I was actually pretty surprised to see that this place had a drive-thru, which was perfect because I was pretty pressed for the time on this particular day. At first, I wasn't sure if the drive thru was functional, because I had waited a few moments and no one had said anything over the intercom. It wasn't until I had began to pull off that I finally heard somebody ask to assist me. I gave them my order, and waited about 5-7 minutes to get my food. I wasn't sure if this was a panda express type place, until I looked inside to see no food warmer station, so i assumed everything was cooked to order. I ordered the bourbon chicken. I've definitely had much better. The positives of this order was that it was definitely hot and fresh, and was a decent portion for the $7 I spent. However, I've had more flavorful bourbon chicken. It seemed to me that the chicken was cooked separately from the sauce. The sauce was probably poured on top. However, it wasn't that bad. I had high hopes for this place. These ratings are totally wrong! We ordered egg drop soup, hot and soup soup, spring rolls, fried potstickers, general and sesame chicken with fried rice. Both soups were decent. Spring rolls tasted like straight up raw carrot. Pot stickers weren't the greatest. The fried rice has absolutely NO TASTE! The chicken, eh. Well I must say that this is a very rare occasion.....for once the reviews are on point with this restaurant!!!! Kept it simple for my first visit yesterday (9/14) and didn't order any complicated dishes. Ordered a large (only size it comes in) house fried rice. Was amazed that they actually use bean sprouts but then they were about to mess up and put carrots in my rice. **Side note, I don't know what it is about Chinese restaurants in the southern states putting peas and carrots in fried rice. Have NEVER seen this in NYC China Town where the Chinese food is authentic. My only guess is that they do this to please the southern palate. Let me officially say it here......carrots & peas have no place in Chinese fried rice UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!** Luckily I asked them if they put carrots in their fried rice before I ordered, they said yes and I told them not to put it in my rice. Long story short, the rice was brown like it should be and came with the right ingredients......bean sprouts (another item that southern Chinese restaurants usually don't put in the fried rice), onions, green onions and eggs. Very clean, small restaurant with a friendly crew. Was actually playing around on my phone and noticed that the cashier was beginning to walk my meal to me, instead of simply saying the order was ready. Very nice.
