So good!! I recommend this place! Understand that it may take a while for their service since they are a new restaurant meaning they may be understaff too. The food I had there was super good! And unlike some other restaurants that I've been to already, they aren't selfish with the filling and stuff. I've been to many Asian restaurants and I can tell you that the pricing is really good especially around this time where everything is going up. It's actually cheaper than most Asian restaurants in MN.

The water was literally ice cold when washing my hands. We went for lunch on a weekend. Ended up ordering a lot of apps. Golden Fried Chicken Wings - these were good but nothing too special. I liked dipping them in sweet and sour sauce. Probably wouldn't get again unless I really wanted wings for some reason. Pot Stickers - also good! But again, nothing super special. The sauce was amazing though, wish it came with more. Would maybe get again. Crispy Chicken Egg Rolls - freaking fantastic. One of the best egg rolls ever. Give me two dozen of these for my entire meal please... Sautéed Deep Fried Potatoes - this was my main meal and it was good, but yet again, nothing super special. I wish there would have been a little more flavor. It was a great portion size, and the potatoes were the star of the show. I would get something else if I were to go back to Duc's. Kung Pao - my wife got the combo of this. It was actually quite good. Slightly spicy, if you don't like spice I would avoid. She seemed to really enjoy it. Cost -$85 with tax and tip. Yes we got 3 apps, but it felt a bit expensive. Also, we ordered water but got water bottles. Felt wasteful to use plastic and get charged. Would be nice if we just got water glass cups. Overall, I would go back but maybe not right away. I'm not inching to go back. But.... you should give Duc's a try.

So flavorful and full of meat! Definitely worth trying. The papaya salad was very flavorful and good. The tri color wasn't anything special but still good. Everything we tried was delicious, really. I'm only giving them four stars because their menu is rather small and don't have any descriptions on the items, which is fine but we didn't know what somethings were and just had to google it. Service was great, everything was clean. We'll definitely be back again!

If you cannot showcase your restaurant name should you even be open! Onto the next is inside the restaurant, definitely not appealing at all inside. Will need to hire a server that actually knows the menu and whats used as far as ingredients. I had the pork belly pad krapow, the flavor was 4/10 was overly sweet, the worse part was that the pork belly tasted overdue. It had a smell to it as if it was sitting for over 1 or 2 days. Boat noodle pho was overly sweet as well. If you were to compare it to Karen Thai. Boat noodle in bangkok thailand is nothing close to sweet. I get that adding new flavors to your own entree but still very overkill. Would i come back again? No, first and last time there. This restaurant really needs a " REVAMP "

I was being friendly with the sushi chef, but he wasn't having it. The server needed to be summoned by him to take my order, but I didn't mind because she was in the back mixing something but was wearing gloves and was very sanitary despite anyone observing her. It's a small thing to expect, but I've seen some shady stuff at these types of restaurants. My server was personable and friendly. I ordered two lychee martinis (first time and outstanding), sashimi appetizer, spider roll and spicy yellowtail roll. The yellowtail and sashimi were on the happy hour menu, which was nice. The sashimi and spider roll was great as always. The spicy yellowtail was presented well, but had a spice in there I can't identify but I don't like. I didn't bring that home for leftovers, but it was not their fault. I get a spider roll whenever I get sushi and theirs is always my favorite! For anyone wanting a great drink, I highly recommend the lychee martini. It was soooooo good. The server said people come on specifically for that and are disappointed when they're out of fresh lychee. I'm glad they had it in stock for me to try!

The sushi genuinely impressed me. It was affordable, flavorful, and the fish tasted fresh. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and really appreciated that the tuna wasn't ground into mush - these were solid, thick cuts of fish with just the right amount of heat. My only minor critique is that the roll could've been wrapped a bit tighter to keep the end pieces from falling apart, but honestly, it didn't take away from how delicious it was. I would happily order it again (and again). The Drunken Mussels were also a hit. The portion size was generous and the sauce was salty in a satisfying way--overall, a great dish. I ordered the Spicy & Sweet Blast Curry (mild), but unlike other Thai spots where mild still brings the heat, this one had zero spice and ended up feeling a bit flat. It wasn't bad; just not very flavorful or authentic-tasting to me. Next time, I'd skip the curry or at least order it hotter, because I think more spice could make a big difference. Overall, I was very happy with my order and will definitely be ordering from Bambu again. Especially for the sushi.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken kabobs for my appetizer and the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai. The food was delivered on a robot, which was pretty cool. However, the noodles in the Pad Thai were hard, the chicken tasted a bit stale, and they messed up my order; there were no shrimp in it. The man working there remade the dish, and while it was okay, the chicken still tasted like it was a day old. My wife didn't care much for her Pho either. The biggest disappointment was that I came to visit this restaurant specifically to try the sushi, and there was no sign or notice on the door stating that sushi wouldn't be available because the chef was gone for a week and a half. We didn't find out there was no sushi until we put our appetizer order in, which should have been told prior to us being seated. I was glad to give the restaurant a try, but I won't be returning. The food lacked flavor, the decor was rather basic, and not having sushi, which was the main reason for my visit, was just too much of a letdown for a first visit.

As is typical with the local Asian eateries, it's a family-run business staffed by a rotating crew which might include mom (Selena Xoing), pop, daughter, son, grandma and so on - based on time and day. While the building is rather industrial and the seating spartan, these folks will make you feel warm and welcome. But let's get to the nifty food! It's a blend of Hmong standards, Thai-style dishes, and pan-Asian noodle bowls - and I have yet to eat a single bad bite of it. Generally speaking, the offerings range from "yum, tasty.." to "wow, this is great!" to "OK NOW, I REALLY HAVE TO STOP BEFORE I EAT ALL OF THIS". My regular favorites include: Moo Sedong (thinly sliced pork in a hot and mildly sweet tomato-based sauce accompanied by tomatoes, cucumbers and mint - served cool) Kho Man Kai (major garlic-laced rice plate with poached chicken breast and special dipping sauce, served with a bowl of vegetable soup - the stock of which was used to poach the chicken) Laab Padouk (Catfish laab salad, if you don't know what laab is - look it up.. tasty bit of knowledge) Steamed fish with bitter sauce and special herbs (Not so bitter, really.. more like: Yum yum! Tasty fish!) Curried crabs (bit of a pain to eat, but the curry sauce and vegetables are full of flavor and just a delight) Esan-style Sour Bamboo soup (Not really a soup, I'd call it a lukewarm salad.. slightly crunchy, not overly sour, a little salty - just delicious, and full of fiber, Kyle) And last but not least: The HOT (!) pepper sauce. It's hot as hades, and bursting with bright herbal and citrus-y flavors. Quite unique, I've never had a hot sauce like this anywhere else. If you know what typical Hmong hot sauce is like, you will notice the similarities - but then it veers off in a totally different direction. I am very seriously addicted to it, I'm craving it as I write this. There are a couple of items on the menu that I didn't particularly care for (the Boneless Chicken Feet laab comes to mind) but that's not to say that they were 'bad' - just a little outside of my personal preferences. A couple other tips: The stall next to Thai-Esan ("HER kitchen") is the place to go if you like green papaya salad or chicken wings - no offense, Selena.. we just like HERs the best. She also makes a delicious, very rich peanut-based beef curry with sweet peppers. On the far end, "Asian Soul food" makes a wicked stuffed chicken wing. Finally, one amusing little detail. Once in a while, if they're not too busy, you'll catch mom and/or pop watching you eat your food. Just like when you cook dinner for your friends, and you slyly follow their expressions as they work their way though the meal. You gotta love that kind of pride, that sort of connection to their product. 4/5 stars.
