This was my first time here and I very impulsively just wanted a hair cut, something like a…read morebutterfly cut. I put the youtube tutorial on pause, undid my poorly sectioned hair, and went about finding the best appointment possible same day in the high desert. Rickey was so kind to squeeze me in, and I waited a little while for her to see me. She has the nicest helpers who got me washed and masked, and Rickey herself is exceedingly sweet and patient all while managing many different people and hair situations. I showed her reference photos and told her a little of my wishes and she got to work! It really seemed so subtle when she was cutting but once styled I couldn't be more pleased. We women almost always want to keep our length but many times i've left salons shockingly short, yet Rickey really made such a noticeable difference in the bounciness and playfulness of my refreshed layers while making any loss of length completely unnoticeable. This is probably the happiest i've ever been with a haircut! She was very easy to consult with about coloring in the future and I have all the trust that she can make some really beautiful but subtle differences in my overall color. The salon itself was in the nice lake area, and the closest entrance I saw was up a flight of stairs. Decent parking and an aesthetic salon with very comfortable sinks to sit at. Cannot emphasize their comfort enough. Not to diminish the timeliness of the staff- as I was being squeezed in, but I'd definitely recommend making ample time for your appointment as it would be less stressful for yourself and the staff. (I've worked in a busy salon setting before) Can't wait to return for future trims and color services!

I called yesterday about getting a haircut here. I'd never been here before in fact I didn't really…read moreknow where it was! Turns out it was hiding in plain sight in the Home Depot center. Great news because it's close to where we live and I got an outstanding haircut by Tanyth. She was kind and quiet and REALLY focused. She was able to explain why I had been struggling to style my hair after a botched haircut from Cutters in Apple Valley. Tanyth gave me the stacked bob I wanted and it only took about 20 minutes!! I'll be back and I encourage others to give Super Cuts on Apple Valley Rd a try! BIG THANKS PS Yes, we both wore masks and my temp was taken as I entered the shop. The place was super clean

I was very disappointed with my experience at Supercuts on Apple Valley Road…read more I had an appointment today at 1:30 for a shampoo and haircut. I brought a picture showing exactly how I wanted my hair cut and explained that I had been growing it out and wanted to keep the length in the back. I mainly wanted it shaped and the ends lightly trimmed. I have worn my hair in this style before, so I knew what I was asking for. From the beginning, I didn't feel that the stylist was really listening to me. She initially seemed unsure who was next and had to check the computer after asking whether I was with another customer who was waiting. She then suggested that I should have my hair shampooed, even though my appointment was already booked for a shampoo and cut. Instead of discussing the haircut I had requested, the conversation quickly turned to the condition of my hair and products she could recommend. I explained that I already have products I'm happy with and wasn't interested in purchasing more. She then showed me how much hair she thought should be cut off -- approximately four inches. That was exactly what I did NOT want. I specifically explained that I had been growing my hair out and wanted to keep the length. My ends did not feel to me as though they needed four inches removed. I was comfortable with a very small trim and wanted the style shaped like the photo I brought. At that point, I asked her to remove the cape and told her I was leaving. She seemed surprised, but I explained that I came in knowing how I wanted my hair cut. I understand a stylist making a recommendation, but ultimately I believe the customer should be listened to and should be able to decide how much of her own hair she wants cut off. This experience was also disappointing because on a previous visit to this same location, a different stylist recommended a conditioning treatment. I agreed because I had paid around $30 for similar treatments in the past. She began applying the treatment without first telling me the price. While she was applying it, I overheard her tell another person that many customers don't get that particular treatment because it costs $60. I would have appreciated being told the price BEFORE the treatment was started so I could decide whether I wanted to spend $60 on it. I also couldn't tell much difference in my hair afterward. I don't mind a stylist offering professional advice, but there is a difference between making a suggestion and not listening to what the customer is asking for. I came in with a picture, clearly explained that I wanted to preserve my length, and knew what haircut I wanted. I ultimately chose to leave rather than risk having several inches of hair cut off that had taken me months to grow. Unfortunately, after these two experiences, I don't feel comfortable returning to this location.
