My husband and I have suffered a lot with allergies and inflammatory issues over these past few months. Ori and his partner came out and discovered we had black mold in our vents and ducts. They cleaned them out and put disinfectant for the mold and took pictures of everything. I couldn't believe we've been living with that! They also recommended putting in UV light to prevent it from coming back. Very reasonable and cleaned up everything. Couldn't be more pleased!!

They essentially scammed me. I went to them for a chimney cleaning. They told me that they would…read moreneed to do a video inspection (I didn't ask for it). They also told me that they would not do the cleaning if the chimneys failed the inspection. They came out and did a 15 min visual inspection (no video) and said the chimneys did not pass so they could not clean them. However, they charged me over $600 for the chimney video inspection and the cleaning even though they did not clean and did not do a full video. Invoice clearly states "For Services Rendered" and "for level 2 inspection and cleaning" (see photo). So they clearly charged me for services they did not deliver. This is why I call it a scam. They know I am not going to take them to court and waste my time for $600 (though I am positive I would win). I had a ridiculous e-mail exchange with the company rep where he tried to justified this. I'll post the emails in photos. They did not send me the partial refund check the rep mentions. I also subsequently had the chimney cleaned by another company without the inspection hoops Harky demanded. In my opinion, avoid Harky. There are plenty of good, honest companies out there more deserving of your business. Comment post Harky's response. Harky's comment proves my point. They talk about irrelevant information (such as my home inspection) to the fact that they charged me for services they did not provide. To be accurate, their GPS had the car on site for 38 minutes. About half that time they were sitting in their car. I assume they were writing up the invoice so they could get their money. I hope people see past this continuous BS and go to a more honest company. Good news is that I did find an honest local company, had a great experience with them and now have beautifully clean and functioning chimneys.

Contacted Sweeppy after checking out some reviews to clean dryer vents/ducts. Talked to Nathan to…read moreconfirm that they serviced my area, which they did. Nathan scheduled an appointment, sent Dennis, Asaf, and one other young man. After checking my roof, I was told that they could not clean the duct through the roof vent as the existing vent was not a proper dryer vent. They left and contacted Nathan to discuss with me. Nathan confirmed that the existing roof vent was more for an attic gable fan and would need to be replaced. He would order the part and call me to reschedule. The appointment was set for today between 8am-10am, the same crew called to let me know they were on the way. Upon arrival, they removed the old vent, cleaned out duct, installed new and correct roof vent (after some adjustment cuts), tested for proper function. I even did a load of towels and drying them took half as long as before. All is good. Kudos to Nathan and his staff for their promptness, professionalism, and quality work. Before we found Geo-Insulation, my husband had called on many other companies for a quote. Some gave us extremely high quotes, some told us it wasn't an issue and not worth their time, and others didn't show up at all. We were defeated to say the least. When Tom from Geo-Insulation showed up, he was kind, communicative and very honest. He told us the damage was minimal but he would fix it, and he did it for FREE!!! The other quotes we had received were in the upwards amount of $700+.. insanely overpriced for minimal work. He was easy to schedule too, coming back out less than 2 days later to install the new insulation. It took him all of 10 minutes, and we know it wasn't the biggest job he could have taken, but we appreciate him taking the time to do it anyway. The new insulation looks fantastic, he and his assistant did a wonderfully professional job, leaving our attic space cleaner than they found it. I even followed up asking if there are any extra charges or surcharges, to which I was quoted the statement above again. Today, the sales rep showed up, took one look at the dryer from the hallway, and asked a few questions regarding the dryer's history. To which he responded that he had to do a deep clean, and the new price is $259 for a deep clean. I said no, I agreed to the $79 special. He said NO company in the area will honor that. His attitude quickly changed to rude and unprofessional. It is extremely unprofessional to slam a client's front door simply because you didnt capture a sale. Maybe you should consider a better business practice of being upfront and honest with your clients rather than doing bait-and-switch ads on social media. BE WARNED THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY!!!! They will lure you into an appointment with a low price and suddenly more than double your quote upon arrival! Take your business elsewhere!
