    Lamb shawarma (10/10)
    Stan L.

Absolutely delicious lamb shawarma! My go to place when I'm in Aventura Mall. Every single ingredient is delicious. I hope they open more locations. Highly recommend.

Food is alright. The hummus was bitter. It was spiced well but tasted off. The pita was dry. The pocket was given hot but still dry. The service was slow. Too many orders received at one place. They need more employees.

I really wanted to love Yalla Motek because I'm a big fan of the main restaurant, but this just didn't hit the same. I ordered the lamb shawarma in pita--the flavor of the meat was solid, but the pita itself was oddly chewy and had a moist texture that threw the whole thing off. What really surprised me was the wait time. I came on a random weekday afternoon, and it took about 30 minutes to get my food. For a fast-casual spot, that's just way too long, especially if you're expecting a quick bite. While the food isn't bad, it wouldn't be my first choice next time I'm in a rush or looking for something as polished as the original Motek experience.

I HATE to do this review but wow, this has to be the worst meal I've ever had and it pains me to say this because I've eaten here before. It was so bad I couldn't even eat most of it and had to throw it away I ordered the crispy eggplant wrap. The eggplant was most certainly not crispy, it was extremely soggy, there was no hummus whatsoever and no onions. The only thing I ate was basically the eggs. Everything else was terrible and a waste of money sadly

I really enjoyed my lunch. Everything was delicious! My mom suggested we try the crispy eggplant and it was an excellent choice. You do not miss the meat. The crispy eggplant is perfectly crisp and tasty with the fresh vegetables and hard boiled egg with some hummus plus a yellow sauce (not sure of the name). I would recommend trying it and I will definitely get it again. I also tried their Mint Lemonade that was refreshing and not overly sweet. Overall it was a good spot for lunch.

Located in the food court at the Aventura Mall, Yalla Motek is a small outpost of full service restaurant Motek (with locations in the mall and Coral Gables). Pick a bowl, pita, or salad and add a protein. I ordered a salad with chicken. Sounds simple but the dish was absolutely delicious. Great choice in the food court and makes me want to try other dishes at full service Motek!

Yalla Motek serves the best falafel pita I have ever had in South Florida. The falafel is fresh, the eggplant is crispy, and the veggies and sauces add a burst of flavor. Even better, the waffle-cut fries are the perfect pairing with the falafel. I know this place is in the food court in Aventura Mall but the restaurant is still well-kept and neat. I like their minimalistic branding with bright tones of yellow and blue that you can notice from a distance. I also like the fact that they have inverted mirrors so that you can watch them prepare your food from beginning to end. Service is quick and the staff was friendly during my last visit. This is a must-try place in my book!

Located in Aventura Mall in North Miami, this Mediterranean counter service restaurant is part of the food court. I had the Salmon Shawarma bowl with veggie quinoa with the sauces $19. It was fresh, flavorful and delicious.

If you ever venture to Aventura mall. If your kosher / make sure you visit the upstairs location of Yalla Motek, in the food court. You will be in for an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious, transporting me straight to the flavors of Israel. I couldn't help but notice and appreciate the attention they put into their branding - it's evident even on their bags. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it was a delightful surprise. The chicken was light and airy, striking the perfect balance of flavor without being too dense. The real game-changer was the amba sauce - it truly set the sandwich apart and elevated the taste to a whole new level. The waffle fries were a revelation - perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They were addictive and I couldn't get enough of them. To complement the meal, I opted for the Cold Mint Lemonade, or lemonana as it's commonly known. It was a refreshing and delightful beverage that beautifully complemented the flavors of the food. obviously, plenty of seating in the food court.

If you love eastern Mediterranean food and happen to be wandering the busy Aventura Mall treats food hall, Yalla Motek is DEFINITELY going to fill you up while respecting most of your dietary needs. This eastern Mediterranean street food spot is the baby to Motek (also in the mall). Rather than stuffing your face with fast food or burgers and fries, Yalla Motek is a fast, health conscious, vegetarian and vegan friendly, kosher spot with plenty of gluten free options. From pita sandwiches to rice bowls, delicious authentic hummus to salads, there's a little bit of everything for YALL(a)! My favorite was the falafel rice bowl that came with a little bit of everything! The fresh ingredients is was truly stood out to me! Despite it being very busy during lunch time, it was still a pretty fast service. If you don't have time to wait, you can order right from the app. From Jerusalem to Miami, they are a kosher-style Eastern Mediterranean restaurant with influences from their ancestors in Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Yemen and more. They source only the highest quality of ingredients and put all their love and care into every aspect of serving and delivering, in a clean, friendly, & happy setting always. That is their motto!

Food was delicious. However, I asked for "no tahini" as I have a severe sesame allergy. The girl taking the order noted. I asked about another sauce and she told me they would put garlic aioli on the side. The order came, I asked one more time about tahini. I was assured it was garlic aioli on the sandwich. It was. But in the box was tahini that I mistook for aioli. My wife spotted it but not before I had eaten some. Now I wait. Update. Next day. Benedryl and a couple of hours of hives and fever. But I survived.

Generous portions and the flavors are on point. The shawarma was crisp and the hummus was silky smooth.

We've been hitting up Mediterranean restaurants like nobody's business on this leg of our spring…read morebreak, in part because of our proximity to many, and in part because my progeny and I are currently obsessed with babaganoush in its many variations. For this particular dinner, we were also focused on finding a truly vegetarian friendly restaurant where we could take our dear friends. Kabobji was a wonderful choice for vegetarians, omnivores, and carnivores alike. It's a large restaurant with plenty of booths and large tables for gathering with friends and family. Someone I suspect to be an owner was working hard alongside his wait staff and displayed a sense of genuine hospitality. Above all, the restaurant has a rock solid kitchen. The falafel ($13.99 / 5 pieces) here were ****STELLAR****!!! They're shaped like Indian medu vada (fried with a hole in the middle), probably for the same reason: to allow as much of the surface to fry to that perfect golden crisp as possible. And Kabobji's falafel were, in fact, awesomely crisp and well textured, made from soaked chickpeas in the traditional style, perfectly sized, nuanced and subtle in flavor -- some of the best we can remember having. (For reference, we love Nish Nush and Tanoreen for falafel in NYC -- and I think our neighborhood must be one of the major international epicenters for falafel.) Also excellent: the baba ghannouj ($10.99 for the small size), just a bit chunky, enriched with a lot of tahini, a moderate amount of garlic, a touch of lemon. This is how we like to make it at home. The vegetable ghallaba platter ($20.99) was simply made with thinly sliced onions and bell peppers, a small amount of zucchini, I think, and a touch of tomato. I would've loved to have had a spritz of lemon or sprinkle of sumac for a more acidic component, perhaps a little less onion. Note that this dish works better as a main course when accompanied by something protein-y like hummus, but it was pleasant to eat alongside our other orders. A convive, who went with the mixed shawarma platter ($27.99), found it to be a generous portion size and enjoyed it, especially with a side of well composed fattoush salad (+$5.99 to upgrade). Beef shish kebab ($14.99) and lamb shawarma ($15.99) wraps were both excellent and moist, a good balance of protein and vegetable. I didn't try them, but the "cheese pies" ($12.99) turned out to be pitas covered with a large amount of melty white cheese that some young children might enjoy as pizza. (Mine probably would've found them to be "too cheesy," but they're mutants.) They came three to an order. When you dine in, they bring a big basket of warm pita / pida to the table -- quite a generous touch!! I think it's house made and of course went beautifully with our food. Bottom line: GREAT FALAFEL! Great, low-key, family-friendly vibe. Good for vegetarians and non-vegs. Go.

Because we had a large group, we ordered two veggie mezzas for the table. They come with grape leaves, baba ghannouj, and hummus, which makes them perfect for sharing. Some of us switched it up and tried the spicy fish, sautéed shrimp, and the mixed shawarma platter. No regrets. The fish was so flavorful and the perfect size. LollllpThe rest of us stuck to the kabobs and lamb, which are consistently a safe bet. The space is great too. The huge windows give you beautiful lighting, and they have seating for large parties that still feels more private. We'll definitely be back.

The falafel was terrible, the chicken kebob plate was awful, and the overall food quality was completely unacceptable for somewhere calling itself Mediterranean cuisine. The dish claimed to come with peppers there was literally one tiny piece in the entire kebab. The chicken had no flavor and tasted poorly, and the rice was completely off, more like Mexican rice than anything remotely Mediterranean. What's even more frustrating is the way the staff handled it. When we raised concerns, they didn't take any responsibility and brushed it off as if the issue was on us. No attempt to fix the problem, no acknowledgment just dismissive and unprofessional. And somehow, they charge a mandatory 20% service fee for this. For what? There was zero service, zero care, and zero effort to make things right. Charging customers extra while delivering this level of food and attitude is unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money here. There are far better options out there. Honestly, I'd take store-bought hummus from Publix over this. If you actually want good Mediterranean food and proper service, go to Ethos instead it's night and day. This place is not worth it.
