First off Jeremy returned my phone call within 1hr and had a formal quote to me shortly after we spoke about my project. He even doubled checked that I purchased all correct materials for the project. He even explained that there might be some additional charges once he removed my old entry door. Although there was some additional expenses the fact that it was explained to me prior to the job starting was helpful. Jeremy and his crew showed up on-time and started working immediately. He provided an initial quote very quickly and was responsive to any questions or requests via email and text. We ordered the wrong shower drain part which we realized two days before shower drain installation. I wasn't going to get the new drain shipped in time from the brand I really wanted, so Nik drove to 3 Ferguson home stores to find the part we wanted. I would never have expected that, but he went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. He was also very detail oriented and when we brought up a couple minor things that needed to be fixed, he quickly responded and had his team adjust. My husband and I needed to find a General Contractor to help us with our bathroom remodel and we…read morelooked around at several contractors. They all gave us quotes that were way over our budget. I took a look in the Best of OC magazine and came across Dan's ad that wasn't large and attention grabbing, but what I noticed, was how he put in a bit of advice about travertine stone and how he doesn't recommend it for the bathroom shower walls because it's too absorbent and will get moldy over time. I really liked how he offered free advice in his ad. I thought a businessman like that is sure to give us good, honest advice and a reasonable quote. When we met Dan for the consultation and quote, I liked his reassuring and confident manner, and how he said that he has been doing remodels for over 35 years. My husband and I really liked how he is now working with his sons, and that he has taught them everything he knows. He said that they are now teaching him a thing or two about remodelling as well. The final reason why we chose Dan and his sons is that his reviews on this site were mostly 5 stars. We read how he really does complete the job within 3 weeks or less and that he and his sons are very tidy, polite and professional. He started on October 23 and finished on November 13 which is three weeks as promised. Once we decided to work with Dan, he got the job moving really quickly. I liked how he came over our house and brought many samples of the materials that he uses such as cultured marble, vinyl flooring and custom-made cabinet door samples so I could choose which materials to go with. He was exceedingly patient while we made our decisions on the flooring, the marble, and cabinet colors. He was always ready to give us very good advice and suggestions that we trusted because of his many years of experience. After we made our final decisions on the materials, the demolition followed soon after. We really liked knowing that Dan had the cabinets being made while his sons were removing the old cabinets, flooring, etc. That is true efficiency which is the mark of a high-quality contractor. The demolition was completed in one day. It happened so fast that I had a hard time believing it! The rest of the remodel went along very smoothly and expediently. Dan was always available to answer questions and always recommended the perfect addition such as the beautiful mirrored wall cabinet and the brushed nickel faucet and showerhead. He brought in an equally professional and skilled painter who gave our yellow and green walls the most perfectly painted bathroom, and yellow is the hardest color to paint over as it tends to bleed through. We went with light grey walls with an eggshell finish because it's not going to show any imperfections already present in the walls and we had a very good ventilation fan installed to control the moisture. We couldn't be more pleased with our new, gorgeous bathroom. From start to finish, Dan Bolohan was the consummate professional and we would recommend him, Jerod and Jordan for all of your remodelling needs. You'll be glad you did. He also has a lifetime guarantee which means he will make sure to repair anything that needs fixing for the life of the bathroom.

Not only have we almost completely redone the kitchen for a very small fraction of that price, but I never did get the quote. With them it's appearantly all or nothing. Overall not a great experience.
