    Spicy chicken deluxe combo
    Jennifer C.

Ordered from Wonder since there was a promotion to try out the new food hall and figured a chicken sandwich might be a simple thing to try from Streetbird. Unfortunately, I feel like it lacked in flavor. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and I didn't taste any seasonings to bring the chicken sandwich flavors forward let alone any hint of spice or heat. The lettuce was pretty wilted and the presentation was average. I also ordered the fries which were just fries. Underwhelmed I unfortunately would probably not give this a try again. The customer service was great though workers were pleasant and attentive when I arrived to pick up my order. The location is small but clean and it still fascinates me that the kitchen produces so many cuisines. I'd be open to try others but not sure I'd order again from this menu specifically due to this experience.

Decided to go with Streetbird, a bit of a newcomer in the wildly popular chicken wings and chicken sandwich business. Streetbird is a creation of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. I got a $5 off coupon over the Internet, and it was accepted, no problem. Went with M's fried chicken sandwich combo, with hot maple chili sauce and coleslaw. I found all of it yummy, and was fairly warm when received. The side of coleslaw is so much larger than what other competitors are offering. Also sampled my friend's spiced chicken wings combo, with mac & greens. The mac & greens are fab. I'm gonna try making that at home myself. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Now, I'm sad GameStop and August 32 are gone, but some things have taken their place like a new juice bar and a new chicken spot. Speaking of, the mall feeling dated is still very much a thing. I've heard about a bunch of other new things coming, but there was a grand opening and that dated background just kind of clashed in my opinion. I can't help but wonder what their plans are.

Upon first impressions this place looks massive and impressive. It is not your traditional mall in the sense that the anchor stores aren't what you expect. Here you have a grocery store and big box anchoring the plaza. Giant is on the one end while you have Target on the other. The rest of the stores within are a mix of national brands and local stores. I say that this place reminds me of the stores/malls in the Zohan movie. The names of the stores is what brings this to mind. It does have it's high points here, i.e., they have a movie theater, ample parking, and plenty of stores. However, they do have their low points too. Several stores have closed since I was here last. Z Burger and TJMaxx are noticeably missing. They do still seem to keep pulling in and opening up newer stores. Not sure how they are capable of doing that, but they are. It is a great place for a distraction.

Wait... IKEA sells FURNITURE?!…read more Just kidding. But, I swear we come here for the restaurant more than the housewares these days! IKEA is known for lower cost DIY chairs and bookcases, but their in-store restaurant is not to be a missed. A destination in and of itself! Granted the prices have gone up significantly over the years (remember when a plate of meatballs was just five bucks, including the sides?!), but one has to make allowances for inflation of course. What I appreciated was that they now have multiple options for how large of a plate you want. They have different pricing for the number of meatballs you order. And they have a wider selection of items than ever before as well. I could drink my weight in lingonberry juice though, and no other place has it! That's the novelty that keeps me coming back. Their staff is usually friendly and helpful. Tables are self-bused, but it's a small task for a reasonably priced meal. For less than 10 bucks a person, it's still one of the best values in the area. Plus, the quality is almost always top notch. Well worth the stop, even if you don't need furniture!

We have 2 favorite restaurants in Baltimore but seriously looking for a spot more local/convenient for us. This was the first place we attempted and it was an unequivocal NOOOOO. HOWWW are they still open? WHYYY hasn't the health department shut this place down? The entrance is shoddy. The amount of JUNK stored haphazardly is diabolical. The absence of clean, uncluttered seating is unnerving. The location is confusing. The signage is laughable. EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT. Believe every picture already posted on previous reviews.

Their food is also pretty consistent from chain to chain. At my latest visit, servings were skimpy and service was slooooow. They were out of several entrees and said refills would be out in 10 minutes. While waiting in line to pay, the servers were nice and offered a free sample of the chicken for waiting. My usual is the Panda bowl with fried rice and orange chicken (pictured). I'll be an optimist and say that my bowl was "half full" instead of "half empty." The server filled my bowl about three-fourths of the way full, then decided that was too much rice and scooped some out! Half-full, indeed. The rice was good, I gobbled it right up. The orange chicken (one measly scoop for a serving) flavor was off this time. Although it had a good crunchy texture on the outside, it was really sour - the first bite tasted vinegary. The next couple of bites tasted very orangey/acidic. Not your best, Panda Express (that almost rhymed!) - but not un-BEARable.
