Mr F.

I haven't been in a panda express in years; so there was a new one open next to UMD, so I stopped in for a quick bite. the food was good and my timing was great, the food came out piping hot and the place was super clean. I would definitely recommend.

Three times I have ordered a side of orange chicken and not received it !!!!!! I have called and all they say is bring back your receipt .... I don't think it's a mistake ..... three times is two times too much . I

Walnut Shrimp with steamed veggies...this is their panda bowl.

Not all P.E. are the same. Most locations have garbage service and food. One night, I wanted Chinese and said why not. It was 8:30 close to closing time. I saw empty food trays and was already feeling hopeless. The guy behind the counter said if you want something you don't see, ill make it for you!! My smile had just gotten all cheesy. I ordered Walnut Shrimp with steam veggies. In less than 10 minutes he made my tummy very happy. Food: fresh n delicious. No complaints. Tasty shrimp covered in a sweet glaze. The roasted walnuts tasted like candy. Service: A++

So this was my first time eating at Panda Express! My friend and I were hanging out around University of Maryland's campus and wanted to grab something quick. Luckily, they were still operating with COVID19 still going on. Dining in is closed but they do accept walk-up's when placing your order and prefer online orders for curb-side and pick-up. We both got soy sauce chicken with fried rice. Chicken tasted good but the fried rice lacked a bit of flavor and egg. I wouldn't mind returning but it wouldn't be my personal top choice.

My quick fix GO To after work! It's always enough for dinner and lunch after having a long day, physically at work. I discovered that going before closing, gets you larger portions and they tend to make more as the crowd piles in, ask me how I know. The staff was patient tonight and didn't seem bothered that after me, there was a line that could wrap, the Nats stadium behind me(job security). Anyway my food was hot and delicious and everything was still good at 8:39pm. It's the little things. Don't forget to complete the survey on the receipt for a free entree during your next visit. Hurry you only have a couple of days

Wok Seared Steak and Shrimp!!!

When visiting Panda Express in the heart of College Park, Maryland, on Baltimore Avenue, it is best to avoid the culinary temperament of Courage the Cowardly Dog, the Pepto-Bismol-colored pooch terrified by everything ranging from menacing shadows to legitimate phantasmagorical threats. Whether your taste buds gravitate towards their recently unveiled Wok Seared Steak & Shrimp, devoid of grisly gristle, or you yearn for the classics (Honey Walnut Shrimp, SweetFire Chicken Breast, or Teriyaki Chicken), the fast-casual Panda Express has you covered. Although the service sometimes depends on the length of the line, the presence of a bowl or, better yet, a "bigger plate" with three entrees along with fried rice, steamed white rice, or chow mein, will always whet your appetite.

Noodles and orange chicken
Naeemah M.

Just ordered 2 bowls of orange chicken and noodles, with 2 plates of walnut shrimp, noodles orange chicken. Service was horrible. The line is inevitable long as always and when I get to the counter, Maria(team leader) messed up 2 ladies orders in front of me. Not to mention she picks up a call then leaves the counter, leaving bozo #2 to do her job. These people did not wear gloves. #2 grabs the dirty trays and spoons, then proceeds to handle customer orders. Cashier guy is touching the same foods with his gloves left hand that handles money. #2 comes to give me orange chicken, I say can I have more please, he says I can only give you a certain amount of chicken. I'm like dude I've been in line 25 mins, while you guys mess up orders, you barely gave me chicken...its not double. Just got home. Chicken is hard as a brick. Noodles are dry. Called spoke with Maria, who pretended to be the manager, then says we dont have a manager I'm team leader, she tells me bring the receipt and we will give you a free plate! After I just spent $31. I think I would have wanted all of my money back. Sadly, this use to be the #1 location. Def in need of more help, gloves, common sense and a bigger kitchen crew :/

Honestly, things are even worse now; I just ate a single order, and it really upset my stomach--it was really bad....

I will admit I was skeptical when I drove up to park in another hellish mixed use development. It screamed chain and average from the outside, inside...well I was wrong. Nice decor although with a lot of QR codes scaring me (after wrestling for 8 minutes with QR code parking in back) that I might have to order that way too. Again not. We were immediately seated, super friendly server, the menu was super exciting. Authentic Szechuan dishes and some American Chinese, I wanted a lot! Had some great crab/pork soup dumplings, terrific garlic sauce eggplant, and a standout recommended ghost pepper spicy beef dish with celery, snow pea, peppers. Mom got a shrimp lo me-in. A lot of food brought home. Similar with the couple next to us. Hot pots on the menu, whole fish, so much to try. Flavors great, but especially nice service that made a place that felt like a QR card laden chain a lot more like a homey cozy place.

Service is always friendly and fast, and the food is packed with flavor you don't often find elsewhere Konjac Noodle Salad - Sour vinegar flavor with a nice kick. I loved the little konjac noodle bundles -- super bouncy and great at picking up the sauce. It's a perfect summer appetizer: refreshing with crisp veggies like cucumber and carrot but doesn't hold back on flavor. 3.5/5 Sour Soup Dumpling - Delicate skins with a savory pork broth that leans more comforting than sour. The filling falls apart as you bite into it and tastes like a mix of pork and vegetables. Simple, clean flavors 3/5 Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - My favorite dish so far! The broth is beefy, spicy, and rich with depth -- layered flavors that feel satisfying but not overwhelming. The meat was flavorful and chewy with fatty pieces that melt in your mouth. Loved the chewy, knife-cut-style noodles that soak up the broth, and the pickled veggies plus fresh cilantro kept it light and bright. 4.25/5 Cold Rice Noodle with Spicy Fried Chicken - Super sour but well-rounded -- flavorful without being sharp. I usually don't love rice noodles, but these were soft, bouncy, and satisfying. Surprisingly, the fried chicken stayed a bit crisp even in the broth. It's fried in a way that's drier and chewier, but that concentrated the flavor instead of making it actually taste dry. Great summer noodle dish 4/5 Signature Fruit Tea - Definitely on the syrupy side, which I expected, but still decent. Lots of blended fruit flavors -- sweet, slightly artificial, but enjoyable if you're in the mood for something fruity 2.5/5

We have been familiar with the area for years, as my father-in-law lived 3 minutes away, and recently we realized this was his go-to carryout. After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.

Total (not including tip) came out to approximately $49. What's Hot - Menu. Excellent. It's also written in Chinese in addition to English. For those of us familiar with traditional ethnic Chinese food, a menu written in Chinese is a good sign. They have traditional Taiwanese and Chinese food like scallion pancakes, sesame balls, beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, etc... Very good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, possibly with the exception of vegan dishes.. - Quality. Pretty good. Their scallion pancake was soft, not too oily, and not too salty. I prefer the scallion pancake to have been a bit more thick and flaky, but that's my personal preference. To be fair, still delicious. Their chive and pork dumplings definitely had a delicious chive flavor. Substantial and the wrapper was not too thick. Their spicy sesame paste tofu had a good flavor and substantive. The chili oil wontons were not too spicy and had a good flavor. Again, my personal preference would have been for the dumplings to have been more substantive, but still pretty decent. - Service. Pretty good. It appears most, if not all their staffers, speak Chinese (Mandarin), which was also helpful, because I specifically ordered in Chinese. I asked them about the spice level, because I wanted to ensure it would not be too spicy for my friend. - Price. Pretty good value for menu and portions. - Location. It's pretty easy to find. Also within convenient walking distance to the Silver Spring metro. The inside space is pretty good. Tables can seat a minimum of 2, all the way up to 8. What's Not - Quality. The sesame balls are smaller than I expected. They're the rough approximation of a ping pong ball, maybe smaller. I was disappointed, because I like sesame balls that are substantial. - Service. I specifically asked for soup spoons, because we were eating dumplings. Instead, they gave me regular spoons. Not all the dishes come out in the order you hope. For example, main dishes may come out before the appetizers. This is going to be dependent on your personal preference. - Parking. There is parking near the restaurant, but it's going to be dependent on the day and time. Final Answer Worth coming back.
