I hate to write negative reviews but I need to warn others. I'd like to start off by saying the staff was nice but that's the only positive. First this shop is overrun by mosquitos. I got bitten three times. They literally run around the shop with a racquet zapper. The gentleman doing my nails kept trying to squash them with his hands (eek). The facility itself looks very dated and a tad run down. Now for the nails. I got a polish change on toes and a gel polish mani. The polish change was subpar and he applied several layers of top coat in stippling strokes and despite asking for correction still turned out clumpy and like an orange peel. The gel mani was okay but some spots were missed. So I left itching ungodly with meh nails. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

While walking out of the salon I was checking out my gel manicure and I noticed it was streaky and kind of see-thru in spots (if that makes sense). I didn't feel comfortable going back in and saying something. After showing people at work the next day, they convinced me that it was unacceptable and that I should go back. I didn't go back that night, but the next day (so 2 days later.) I was nervous cause I didn't want to approach them about this, but knew that I shouldn't settle. I showed him my nails and he told me that some colors just look like that, but he'd try to fix it. He then took a file to my nails, and aggressively filed the top layer of polish off. He was doing it so quickly and rough that he made my cuticles bleed! He clearly wasn't happy that I wanted him to fix my manicure. He also accused me of coming a week after my manicure (he was trying to justify why it looked so bad.) I went to a different salon, got the same color, and watched her put it on. She noticed how thin the polish was and kept putting layers on until it was no longer streaky and see-thru! That is how it should be done. read more

Hands down the worst pedicure ever. My toes looked 100 times better when I went in (my last pedi was just a week ago). The Pedicurist tried to drill off my old glitter polish but it got hot so I pulled away. She said glitter doesn't come off with acetone and she pulled out a coarse (acrylic) file and started filing not just my toe nail but my skin with it, yet she still left spots of old glitter polish, which I was fine with since it's better than aggressive over filing on skin and nail. You get a cotton ball, soak it with acetone and put it over the glitter polish for 30 sec and it comes off no problem! I've never seen anyone so overly aggressive with pushing cuticles, it really hurt! Not everyone has hard cuticles! After her 15 min (including a 2min lotion massage) pedi, she put two coats of color and tried to put the top coat and I stopped her and asked her to put a third coat because it was all streaky and she says your nail has ridges. What the heck! My nails were bumpy because you didn't remove all the old polish NOR buff my nails after you went at them with a coarse file NOR wipe my toe nails with clean wipe before you put the base coat! I asked her to put a third coat and clean up my cuticle lines and that took her like 20 minutes, longer than the actual pedi, and it still looks horrible. Never again. read more

I've been to this place twice now. My first experience was pleasant. The young woman who did my nails did a great job with the shape and thickness I prefer for a dip manicure. Though unfortunately the quality of the dip they use did not last a normal two weeks. Today I went for the second time, I was rushed with the holiday coming up and this place is on my way home. I've seen reviews here that the red haired manicurist is sub par and she was unfortunately who was available to do my nails. This woman removed my dip manicure and started shaping my nails in a way I did not like, bringing it to her attention she started arguing with me. I have my nails done the same way every time and for some reason she was unable Or unskilled to do what I requested. I paid for the work she had done and left disgusted. I will not be returning to this salon. read more

I've been going here my entire life the past two times I've unfortunately gotten stuck with the women with the red hair. She always tries to convince you to do different things with your nails that you don't want to do and gets frustrated with you when you don't listen to her advice. She is rough to the point where you need to pull your hand away. Also None of the nails are straight as you can see in the picture they're all angled, and all of the colors they have on their color dip wheel are wrong Because I specifically asked for white pink and got stuck with this bubble gum pink. When I said I didn't like the color she laughed and said "it's pretty". When I showed discontent at the end of the session she just ran to the back instead of confronting the issue. I will give this place 3 stars because most of the nail technicians are amazing she is just terrible. read more

This is the first review I have ever posted online. I am posting to stand up for this nail salon and the horrible couple other reviews it got. I moved to Flourtown in Feb 2016 and go here for pedicures regularly. It is clean and hygienic. The staff are friendly and courteous. The pedicures are done efficiently and are right every time. The women's nails I have seen look great too! It is always full of customers of all ages. It is a great community salon and I would recommend it to anyone. It is not a spa salon though, so it won't be for you if you are looking to lounge and have serenity. It is a functional friendly spot. read more

This place and its owner is horrifying. After I complained about the job the owner did on my nails she began screaming at me infront of customers. I even asked her to stop but she continued screaming at be being very ABUSIVE . I am disabled and only get to do this one thing for myself. I sit even though it's painful to have this done. No one should go to this place and let her get away with how she treats people. She should not be aloud to be in business. DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!! read more

I never came out of nail salon bleeding and in pain. The nail technician cut my cuticle on my toe so bad that it began to bleed. The technician tried to stop the bleeding by applying pressure, but that did not seem to work and continued to apply polish on my bleeding toe. To make matters worse, she was scrubbing my heels with a pumice stone and scrubbed too hard over my Achilles heel and caused it to bleed as well. It has been five days and my toe is still in pain and now I am wondering if it's infected. I can see why people rate this place poorly read more

Love this place! Always greeted with a smile and 'pick your color'! They are good, fast and very reasonable! I have been to others on Beth Pike, and have been cut, nipped and bled, and not even a 'sorry'! They will always fix my nails when I have dinged them! Never a problem always a smile! read more

I want to preface this by saying that I have been going to Wonder Nails for years, since I was a teenager. While it's not as high quality as other nail salons in the area, their prices are more affordable and I've never had a problem with the service. However, I went for a gel manicure today (after waiting 45 minutes) and while removing my old gel, the nail tech ripped half of my pinkie nail off, which hurt very badly. She quickly tried to make it seem like she didn't rip it off and wrapped it back up with the acetone and foil, which made it burn, and I asked her to take the foil off. When she did, my nail was bleeding. I was almost in tears it hurt so badly. She continued to try to pick off the rest of the nail and spray it with water despite my protests that it hurt, and then tried to fix it by putting a fake nail on top of it. After that, she rushed through the rest of my manicure because I could tell that she just wanted me to leave. When it was finished, she still charged me the full price of the manicure. I probably should have debated this with her more but I was so upset and shocked. I am very disappointed with the quality of the service. I know that mistakes happen, but I was shocked at the fact that I was still asked to pay full price while my finger was bleeding. I will not be back. read more
