Did a walk-in for the first time and was helped almost immediately. Peter did Acrylic nails for my pedi. John and Sydney did my daughter's pedi and mani in French tips. No hate, but I would not recommend/advise anyone to visit this nail salon. Upon receiving a gel pedicure, I began to see visible changes on my natural nails. Assuming the staff does not clean the equipment thoroughly, fungus has consumed my nails on each hallux. Up to this day the matter has worsened, causing my real nail to brittle and fall off, leaving me with less than half of my natural nail in horrible condition. Please visit a business that ensures they are very clean with their equipment! *Gel-X Mani + Gel Pedicure = $110, not to mention the nail tech nicked my finger and I left bleeding as well* read more

The massage chairs are a nice bonus. A pedicure with no color is around $25-$30. They are pretty fast but still thorough and efficient. They can usually accommodate with no appt which is great. The parking across the street is $1/hr. Love coming here and getting a matcha nearby. read more

Service was expensive for bad quality. I asked the lady to redo two nails that were super crooked and I didn't realize there was a third till I left. When I told her they were crooked she tried telling me my fingers were crooked? So it was my fault somehow. I asked for a natural green and she only had pastel green and swore I showed her this color when I didn't. Again on me somehow. By this point I didn't even wanna tell her how bad it looked I just wanted to get out and go get them fixed elsewhere. And to top it off there's a ton of glue under my nails, it seems like they only have old dried out nail products. I wish I didn't come across this place. I've been going here for years, and they always do a fantastic job with my nails. Whether it's gel polish on my natural nails, a new acrylic set, or fills, their work is consistently detailed. I've always had male manicurists, and no matter who I get in the rotation, I know I'm in good hands. I love that they're flexible and often take me as a walk-in when I don't have time to make a reservation. My go-to place for nails for the past 10 years! I genuinely cannot and refuse to go to any other place for my manicure and pedicure. The atmosphere, the ambiance, and the quality is unequal. I've gone to other places in my life, and this was the one place where they take time in detail and care for your nails. I recently started to come here from Hollywood. I wasn't able to find the person to hear what I needed and actually be okay with requests without looking annoyed of you until I came here and found Nikki. Nikki is amazing at her career. She is gentle when it comes to cleaning ingrown nails which I suffer a lot from. Her soul is a happy soul. She makes you feel very welcome and I never feel rushed. She is simply the best! I have given a few a tried but I ended up going back to her and sticking to her! One thing I do love a lot are the way she makes my French tips!! They are so bomb!! Everyone always compliments them! And honestly, it is hard to not vibe with her because of how amazing she is! I even started to bring in my mother in law to get her pedi and she absolutely loves her as well! Went here with my friend bc i saw this place had such great reviews. We both felt so rushed the entire time. She put way too much filler on my nails and rushed thru sanding down my gelx nails. Left them super bumpy and uneven. When i asked her to sand them down and make them even she insisted that it was my nail shape and said to wait till after she added the paint. Then i reminded her to sand them down and she said she couldn't now that she added the paint. Then reluctantly tried to sand them down and added another top coat on top making them even thicker and more uneven at one point she said that next time i should make an appointment if i wanted a better job with more time. WTF. Then why am i paying half price for half ass work. Don't go here. Period. read more

I wish I could give a better review as my manicurist was lovely and sweet but the job was not great. I called at 1:15 for a 2pm and they told me to come in. When I arrived they were busy. I waited for 30 minutes in a pedicure chair. The place is absolutely filthy. I should have left when I saw the arm rests on the massage chair and the massage remote. Covered in paint, stains and dust/grime. Unfortunately I stayed. My manicure was uneven and the paint clumpy/thick. The pedicure was too short and my nails/cuticles looked ragged as I left. I had to get my nails redone before a wedding because I had messed them up the day before. The lady who took care of me was extremely patient and listened to what I wanted. There was so much time and effort in ensuring that I liked the end product for my pedicure. She even let me try a color out and switch it without issue when I didn't like the first color I picked. This place has wonderful staff and they do an amazing job with nails. My pedicure cost about $25 before tip. This place is definitely much more reasonably priced than other places I've been to in the past. 100% would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I just moved to the neighborhood and it's a lovely day so I thought I'd get a much needed pedicure. When I walked in he said it be few minutes. Nearly 30 mins later and still "few minutes." So I walked out. The place isn't very clean and they don't seem especially friendly so not heartbroken that I didn't get my pedicure from there but they lost a potentially loyal customer who lives a few blocks away. Visiting for the weekend, I called around 2pm for a same day appointment and was scheduled at 6pm. Due to traffic, I ended up calling back and I was rescheduled at 7pm for a full set-- very accommodating. When I walked into the shop, it was a full house! I ended up waiting a few minutes before Sydney started fixing my cuticles. She is super nice and very talented! She talked me up to getting Gel-X instead of the regular acrylic set. She BODIED the design I showed her. The Gel-X + Design = $90 w/o tip. I was in an out of the shop a little over an hour. Overall: GREAT experience at Wonder Nails!! Would definitely recommend. Ok, I am too through. Made an appointment for today at 12:30, didn't get serviced until 1:15ish and was done at like 2:45. Ugh. The line of the manicure is smudged and looks a got damn mess on every nail. The cute gold charms are all crooked and the dollar signs are backwards with globs of adhesive you can clearly (now) see. Then of course they start to rush through me and stand up applying the charms because a regular with an appointment came in. That loyalty made my most recent visit all the more disappointing. I had a 10:50am appointment. The day before, Felicia texted asking if I could push to 11am. I said I'd try to rearrange my plans. She replied: "let's keep the 10:45." I managed to move things around (because if she was asking, I figured she was in need, and I wanted to help) and arrived at 10:57 -- 7 minutes late by the original booking, not 15. When I walked in, Felicia told me I was 15 minutes late. I explained I'd rearranged my schedule to accommodate her request. She shrugged and said "too bad, I already booked someone afterwards.". It wasn't until I was in the room that I checked the reminder email -- original appointment: 10:50. So by her own scheduler, I was 7 minutes late, not 15. Felicia eventually gave me an extra 5 minutes to make up for the mix-up, and I appreciated that. But the cold, dismissive way she started the appointment stayed with me. That's not how you treat someone who's followed you for 15 years. Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. I have been going to this same location for years. Recently, it changed name and ownership. What didn't change is the quality! I have naturally long nails and the Wondernails team always makes sure to take care of me and my nails fabulously! At the moment, I am on three weeks with the same gel mani/pedi. NO chips, no broken nails. They know what they are doing. I am pretty vocal about any issues with them. If I don't like how something looks, I let them know right away and they are more than happy to fix it. The biggest plus is not just the service, they are also exceptionally friendly. read more

Dropped in to this convenient downtown location after work for a mani pedi and was seated right away. The experience was fine, but results were poor. The second coat didn't entirely cover the first coat, giving me an annoying uneven effect to the base and sides, the top coat on some nails didn't cover the color and I did not get the full service that I had paid for. I went to the counter to tell them I did not get good service and they were rude. They told me I could get five dollars off and then the woman that butchered my feet came out to argue with me about the service I received. read more

I am visiting from Florida and I needed my nails done real bad for the wedding, I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I got one of the new technician and she did such an amazing job, price is different from what I was used to and I dig it. Everything is so expensive in FL, might even move to Portland just to get these deals. I believe her name was Lyn or linne, I could not understand her because of her mask. Great nail salon! Being from out of town I was so confused on which place to try because there are a TON of nail salons all over. I got lucky picking this one! Haven't had a great gel manicure like this in awhile. If you get a mani and pedi they will have two people work on you at the same time. I went here to get my nails done for a gel manicure with nail design. The girls that worked on my nails were super meticulous. They made sure to take their time fixing up my nails before applying a single coat of polish. I have been to this nail salon a few times now. I've never had a mani/pedi last as long as the ones I get here! This shop is super tiny and intimate, so you have to book an appointment. But it's totally worth it, they make getting your nails done really feel like self care. They take care of you, and not once have they rushed through my service. Just had the best experience here with a friend. Easy to make a last minute appointment on the weekend. Phillip did a beautiful job on my French ombré. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but he took the time to experiment until we found what I liked. He also did a very nice custom art design for my friend. I clearly stated that I wanted a thinner, more refined French tip. During my appointment, the nail technician called over three different employees to look at my nails. One of them looked at my nails, gave me a dirty look, and began speaking in Vietnamese. Although I do not speak Vietnamese, her tone and reaction were clearly unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. It sounded as though she was questioning why I was there, despite my explaining exactly what I wanted. When I asked if there was a problem, I was simply told that they were not confident they could achieve the look I wanted and therefore could not help me. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and customer service. Had they communicated this during our text consultation, I would not have wasted my time driving to the salon and coming in for the appointment. I completely understand if a salon is unable to perform a specific service, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing and unprofessional. Customers should be treated with respect, regardless of whether the salon decides to take on the service requested. Will not be coming back.

Save your nails. I ended up filing my own nails right in front of them because they couldn't do a basic file correctly. So, two people did my nails, first a man and then the same woman who did my pedicure. When we sat down I let him know the person who previously did my gels (& out on maternity leave) put three coats of gel, which means it's thicker... however he didn't understand. Then the worst happened... He soaked my nails for about 3mins then used his own nails to PEEL OFF MY GELS which took off my regular nail!!!! HE PEELED MY NAIL OFF. I wanted to cry. It's now so short and the tissue under my ring finger is popping out and hurts. He also acted like he didn't do anything and I had to grab my hand away. I cannot believe I didn't just get up and walk out at that point! Then I asked him if he can soak it longer and he did, however he continued to use his own nails to peel my gels! basically what they tell you not to do -- he did! I was so upset and now my nails are even thinner from gel damage AND HIS NAILS. WTF WTF WTF. Secondly, he was "cutting my cuticles" which basically was him running a cuticle cutter around my skin and cutting absolutely nothing. NOTTTHH-IIINNNNGG. The cuticle cutter was spotless. What the hell was he doing?! I really just blame myself for sitting through that... Finally the woman took over and she did a really horrible job... she actually spilled gel polish onto my skin which created an air pocket, I had to show her and she just said "oh..." and filed it down. My nails right now are lumpy and lop sided (see photo) and I'm going on vacation this weekend and have to do them over. Again, I filed my own nails in front of her... she did nothing. I can't believe I was such an idiot to get my nails done at a new place a week before my vacation and birthday. And of course the new place was a total nightmare / waste of money. Now, my hands are short and stumpy and look like a child who painted their own nails. it's so gross I don't even want to post a photo b/c I'm so embarrassed. UGH. I'm an idiot, I deserve this!!!!
