    mac and cheese

Staff is very nice. They carry a lot of the stars in my review. Easy ordering experience. Food was ready ahead of projected time. Overall, food mid, cleanliness meh, staff great. Location opened very recently here in Natick taking over the former Anthonys coal pizza place which was huge. Given there is only some seating that means the kitchen must be huge. I saw that they offered bbq brisket and I know brisket is a challenge to get right so I had to try it. It was seasoned well but all over the place texturally. I think it comes down to the cut. The pieces with good marbling were close to juicy. The less fatty pieces were reminiscent of jerky unfortunately. Flight of sauces that it came with were all good. I'm saving them for the next time I grill something Kids mac and cheese was nothing special. Tasted oddly like panera, so not exactly a compliment Fries with cheese sauce was ok. Cheese sauce is very runny. If you dip it will drip immediately. Not sure if intentional but if you compare it to like shake shack and you like the texture from shake shack you will be off put by how runny it is here. The burger came in a few dollars less than the same thing at five guys. I liked how it wasn't greasy tasting, as five guys definitely tastes a lot greasier but it was just alright. Oddly enough I think the most tasty thing I tried today was the pinto beans side from their Tejas bbq menu. Hearty and nice flavor Everything was packed very well. i was surprised by how it looked like nearly everything had some sort of label. The to go bags were too nice to just recycle as is. The seating area was turned over, or rather the floor was sweeped, at least once while I ate there. I actually ended up swapping tables when I realized the first place I sat was dirty on the seats and the table. It would be good to see the tables cleaned better. With a coupon I think this place is great. If i had to pay full price for the brisket I'd be a bit unhappy. That said, brisket is hard to do right. I would give them another try and maybe order some stuff that is maybe more likely to be good via some reheating process. I'm guessing they don't smoke brisket on the spot but I could be wrong. I also overheard that one guest took someone elses food. they ended up coming back and complaining. The staff member handled it well and treated both the guest who lost their food very politely and nicely and treated the ignorant guest who was upset that they took someone elses order much nicer than I could manage. This is the kind of customer service that makes a difference

The old version of the mall was good as it grew with time growing up with it. The store just got better and replaced with no better stores and more high-end stores. There's a really big food court and a POP MART, which I love and a part of the mall where they have regular retail stores stuff and not just high-end stores.

Natick Mall has really changed since when I was a child. It still at heart is a mall, but now it…read morehas lots to offer. I think the most prevalent thing I've noticed is how there are a lot of entertainment options now. Dave and Busters was the first to open, followed by Level 99. Now there's also a Puttshack and a Bosee Pickleball club. I think this adds a layer because it turns into "just a mall" to a social gathering spot where you could shop, eat, or have fun. There's something for all ages with this. Now when it comes to the shopping, there's still your average clothing stores, there's beauty and jewelry stores like Sephora and Pandora, and also a Macys if you want a department store. There's also a wing with more high-level luxury stores, like a Zara, Louis Vitton, Tiffany, and David Yurman. I think this area is nice if you want luxury but not to travel into Boston. There's a lot of empty stores in this wing too so hopefully they get filled soon. Food options are good too, they have a food court, Cheesecake Factory, P.f. chang's., California Kitchen pizza, and the food inside of the entertainment places too. Overall this mall has been renovated a lot, and I think for the better. It encompasses a lot and you don't have to come here just to shop, but you can if you'd like. I will say though they have plenty of parking which includes free garages, people are still unkind around the holidays and you might be circling around for a while before you find a spot. Parking is always hard here no matter what and I know people who avoid this mall because of it, which is sad but I get it. I heard if you come on a weekday morning it's better.

The Mass Turnpike travel plazas are basically a cookie cutter type of set up with the only…read morenoticeable difference being the size of their parking lots. The one in Natick does have ample parking and is quite maneuverable. What I like about the travel plazas --- They have Papa Gino's pizza. I once read that the pizza one eats while growing up imprints on you regarding pizza type preferences. Papa Gino's is what I grew up on when it came to pizza. We didn't get take out pizza much as kids but when we did, it was always Papa Gino's. We hadn't had Papa Gino's in years so I seized the opportunity to get a slice while at the travel plaza. So...I ordered 2 slices (one for each of us). My husband and I can both say the pizza is as good as we remembered it to be. Sometimes chain pizza joints tinker with their recipe so we were pleased to see that Papa Gino's adheres to the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". For us, it was a real treat to have a slice. The rest of the travel plaza was clean, including the bathrooms, which we appreciated. Next time we use the Turnpike, we will make it a point to stop in a travel plaza yet again, if only for the pizza.

These service plazas are really starting to tick me off…read more I'd like to give it a higher rating, because it's clearly named after my good friend from Yelp Buffalo: Naitik. Unfortunately, I can't, because the gas is more expensive than 98.4% of the other Boston area alternatives, and the workers here are none-too-friendly, either. The food choices here are crappy fast food, cold french fries, expensive, and so on. However just for the sheer convenience of having this right off the highway on the way into Beantown, I'll give it a 2 rather than a Juan. But it's really Nat somewhere I'd stop on purpose.

We asked if the entrees came with rice and she answered and were about to place our order and she walks away to attend to someone else? Would have taken less than 30 seconds and there wasn't anything emergent that needed tending to. Comes back, takes the order (hunan crispy fish and shrimp with ginger and scallion) and the dishes are somehow out in 5-10 minutes. She practically throws the shrimp and side of rice on the table and walks away. Doesn't ask if we need anything else (we wanted chili oil). Another server brings the fish dish and asks if we need anything who we then inform about our request. The original one then comes by and throws the sauce on the table again. The shrimp dish was heavy in red onions and barely had ginger or scallion. The sauce tasted like soy sauce and a starch slurry with nothing else added and it was way too salty. The fish was weirder. It had a breading on it instead of a cornstarch/potato starch batter. The sauce also did not taste like oyster sauce and it tasted like the sauce sautéed with veggies was added at the end so nothing melded together.with the fish. The sauce was overly sweet. Some customers left the table next to us and she sat down in their empty seats and starts looking at her Apple watch. She never once filled up our waters but did for the other customers and did ask if they needed anything else and gingerly places dishes on their table. Felt extremely racist. Avoid this place. Acting like a high school student forced to work a summer job and begrudgingly doing so except she was much older, immature, at best rude, and at worst, racist.

First few visits back after they reopened after fire damage were good. All weeknight dinner visits…read more -- Har Gow: Shrimp dumplings fresh and flavorful, but the vessels were so gummy they stuck to each other and the serving tin. Average. -- Beef Teriyaki: A four-stick serving had bumpy, lightly-charred and lightly sweet surfaces, along with good tenderness underneath. Decent marinade flavor. Above average to well above average. -- Mongolian Beef: An outstanding presentation of beef slivers thick enough to be tender, while also getting nicely crisp and a vigorous flavor superior to the teriyaki. Scallions added some extra kick in addition to the sauce. Really good feel and really good taste bring it really close to elite. -- Pork Fried Rice: Lovers of dark pork fried rice are in for a treat, because this is among the darkest and has dark flavor to match. Fresh, hot, not a reheat, and not sitting for hours. I could do without the peas, but all of the other additions-- egg, onion, bean sprouts, and big chunks of fresh pork-- were top notch. A benchmark rice if you're into this style. Elite. -- Chicken with Ginger and Scallion: Long and winding chicken with good tenderness and noticeable ginger flavor, with bold scallions the unsung hero. Closer to a very good dish than a great dish, but bonus points for being neither sweet nor spicy, but still bringing plenty of flavor. -- Chicken Fried Rice: Another example of bold, dark, fresh-cooked rice, this time with chicken. I was expecting shreds and got finger-length pieces that were much more impressive. Elite. -- Boneless Ribs: Lightly lacquered with shiny cross sections, so they were moist, but a bit fatty. Above average for sure, but not elite or close like some other dishes. -- Chicken Fingers: Fresh, hot, and crisp, with some small ones less dazzling, but most pleased. Good meat-to-batter ratio. Optional sweet and sour sauce add-on did dazzle, coming in sweet but dark ruby color and complex. Not your daddy's sauce; this didn't have pineapples and cherries but it did have more flavor. -- Chicken Teriyaki: Charring, coating, tenderness, juiciness, and marinade all combined to make this one of the better renditions. Well above average to near elite. -- Yuen Yang Beef: Very impressive dish, from the quantity, to the textures (perfect on both the beef and the bed of string beans), to the flavors (savory-tingly on the beef, though without much heat, and gingery on the string beans). -- Duck Sauce: Barely a variation from straight apple sauce. Not a strength. Only negative on service is that sometimes one server handles the entire dining room, so there might be waits, but even still, service is always friendly and efficient. This place sometimes gets a bad rap for being expensive, but I believe the quality warrants the prices and that there's good value thanks to execution and consistency.
