Genuinely the best fast casual pizza and subs place in the greater Boston area. I always get the Italian sub with everything and every bite is pure bliss. The mayo and hot pepper mix is perfect. The meatball calzone and veggie calzones are also excellent. No outdoor seating which is a bummer but casual indoor seating is plenty. Service is always fast and friendly. read more

Absolutely worst delivery service I've ever had with any restaurant my entire life. That is not an exaggeration. Delivery took nearly two hours. Kept telling me, "its on its way". I can deal with a wait if they properly set expectations but Mark's was not honest about when the food would arrive. The first time I had this pizza, it was somebody's leftovers and it was DELICIOUS. I'm not a cold pizza person, so I heated it up. The cheese was thick & melty, passed the cheese pull test. The dough is fluffy with a crisp on the outside. The red sauce is slightly sweet - which is personally how I like it . Now, when I ordered again I wasn't in the mood for pizza. So I hopped on yelp and saw people RAVING about the roast beef. And yes i wholeheartedly confirm that this roast beef is RAVE WORTHY. Juicy. Piles of red meat layered on top of each other . The BBQ sauce is tangy and sweet, not spicy which i appreciate. I added a piece of cheese !! (If you want this ASK) The Bread wasn't anything to write home about, but it got the job done and I was more concerned with what was in between it anyways. Overall, 10/10 and would highly recommend to a friend. Also, my brother got a buffalo calzone.. super cheesy. 10/10 on the dough. buffalo sauce was TOO spicy for me .. but that's a me problem. They suggested a local pizza and sub shop that was walking distance from the complex. I decided to walk down to the restaurant and make a to-go order. I almost passed the restaurant as it was adjacent to the Sunoco gas station in the alley. I walked in and stood at the counter for a few seconds and a gentleman came out and greeted me with a smile and a gentleman came out and greeted me with a smile. I placed my order for the two pizzas and asked if it was a thin pizza. Without missing a beat, he says it's Greek pizza, they are always thin crust. Confidence was in his voice. I have had many of the types of pizza and his quick response let me know he was aware of how the pizza is prepared. I thought hmmm, then I'll take one and a vegetable pizza too. Okay, he was overconfident and not prepared to deliver on his ability. The pictures show he was wrong about the thin crust on all of the pizzas!! Unless all of their pizzas are on thin crust as shown in my pictures. The basil was sparlingly sprinkled on top and could not be distinguished from the taste of the pizza. The picture shows two types of tomato toppings used on the pizza. The cheese is the overwhelming main ingredient tasted on this pizza. If I wanted a cheese and tomato pizza....this was a good pizza, 4. This was a failed attempt at this pizza and nothing more than a disappointing 1out of 5 at best for the failed attempt. The vegetable pizza was a 4 score for taste and for visual appeal. You order speciality food you expect to get the specialty food. If you're a restaurant that serves specialty food, you should know how to prepare that special dish and do it right every time or take it off the menu. read more

The big roast beef sandwich was really, really good. If you're looking for a North Shore style (onion roll, bbq sauce, mayo and cheese) roast beef sandwich, this place to go. The roast beef is tender and flavorful, perfectly sliced and piled high. The bbq sauce is tangy and has a great flavor but does make it a bit messy. Maybe get it on the side or have them just go light on it. Just a great roast beef sandwich! I forgot to take a picture, so I'll have to sacrifice myself and come back for another. read more

Good local neighborhood sub shop. It's kind of hidden but worth looking for. You can eat inside or if it's a nice day out there is a waterfall park close by where you can eat your lunch and walk around. read more

We have ordered from just about every pizza place in Wellesley, and this is our favorite. My kids get mad when I order from someplace else. The service is great, too. Ok so I'm a bit biased b/c my friends and I ate at Mark's at least once a week throughout high school. But still, this place is worth 3 stars just for 2 dishes alone: - Chicken finger dinner: the fingers are perfectly "broasted" so the chicken is crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. the fries are thick and tasty. the honey mustard sauce is amazing. AH-MAZING! - Chicken parm sub: get it with grilled chicken. they make it perfectly. delicious new england "grinder". so good. The pizza is just ok (i'm being generous) and everything else is mediocre. But the chicken fingers! amazing. Now, Mark's doesn't compare to other 4* restaurants I've reviewed, but it's 4* compared to other similarly situated places, like New England pizza/grinder shops. One of the best. Their bacon cheeseburger lunch special for $6.75 is about the best deal you will find. The focus here is on fresh ingredients and excellent service. When the neighborhood power went out, they admirably refused to serve even cold food or salads because they couldn't guarantee the safety and freshness of the ingredients. Clearly a place that values the customer over a quick buck. The menu and variety are extensive. Try the eggplant parm -- surprisingly excellent for a non-Italian restaurant. Steak fries are awesome. Co-worker said the delivery person was apologetic, but if you are gonna wait that long the shop should have the courtesy to call you (because I did give them my number) and even if there were phone problems they could have used a cell phone, and tell me they are going to be two hours so I may want to make other arrangements. Tzadiki sauce tasted like creme cheese. I recommend Mark's for people who have a steel stomach and simply looking for calories to consume; you won't find any flavor in your meal. I'm sorry for the less than favorable review but when you spend $7.25 on your sandwich, only to take one bite and throw it away..? ...leaves a 'bad taste..in your mouth. With Papa Razzi and another Pizza joint across the street, I have only been here for the subs. Very busy here during the lunch rush. Sandwiches are prepared right in front of you so you can watch while you wait. Have had both hot and cold subs and can't say I was ever disappointed. You will need to work a bit to find them as they are hidden behind the Papa Razzi. Parking can be difficult in spite of the large parking lot. read more

Mark's Pizza and Subs has average food. We had a large order with an array of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. The lettuce is all iceberg, and the food is generally greasy. The chicken salads were large which was a positive. Our take out order arrive 45 minutes late from the time it was promised and even after multiple calls, the restaurant had trouble telling us where our food was and why it was late. It is not likely that we will order from here again. read more
