Had a good pizza. I was a walk in, as I was getting my car serviced next door. They were busy but took care of me. I ordered Greek pizza, but they were out of spinach. They happily offered substitutions. It was a little messy, as the topping all slid off, but it was good with a crispy crust. read more

Very bad , no good Ordered the buffalo chicken calzone. It was nasty. First I don't think ricotta cheese was the right choice for buffalo sauce, I would have gone with mozzarella. The sauce was very weak, not really any buffalo flavor let alone heat. The real issue was they burnt it into a state where us was almost inedible. I had to eat the filling with a fork and throw away what used to be the crust before they charred it beyond recognition. read more

It reminded me distinctly of the pizza my elementary school served me, and when I can't finish a slice, lemme tell you that is saying something. I was waiting in line today and the tall dude with the hat (I think maybe the boss?) was handing out cookies to women today and saying "Happy women's day" - did it twice for a group sitting down and again for two young kids in line. First experience and it was absolutely awful. Front desk service is nice in person but when trying to solve an issue they are no help. My girlfriend and I ordered a buffalo chicken salad that tasted like sweet Chinese duck sauce and our tuna salad sub was just sitting on a wet soggy bun that was literally dripping. When we called to get a refund or to just tell them what was going on, we were given excuses that had nothing to do with what I said and also was not compensated for anything. I know I said that I wouldn't get another pizza from Pizza Peddler but there's a huge difference between the taste and quality of a small, design your own pizza and one of their specialty pizzas. I did a take out of another small veggie pizza. It cost over $17.00 including tax. I asked the woman behind the counter if the prices went up and she said that they did. Their website still shows the old price which is $2.00 less. The prices have gone up by about 14%. read more

This seemed a bit high, so I checked the menu later and found it was listed at $17.99 - which already at the high end of pricing in the local market (though not absurdly so). Yes, 20 years ago I worked here, but they still have the best Chicken Parm sub in the world. Sauce is flavored just right. The cheese is great. Chicken is crispy and tender. The bulky sub roll has sesame seeds and great sour dough flavor. Buffalo Chicken sub is great for the same reasons. We've gotten delivery maybe 10 times (est.) so far from Pizza Peddler. Every single time the food has been phenomenal! We've had a grilled veggie salad with steak tips, Greek salad with chicken and feta on the side, Greek with tuna, Caesar with chicken, Buffalo chicken, Greek with shrimp, calzones, pizza, jalapeño poppers, and subs (pastrami, veal parm, Italian). It's consistently good and they always the special requests right (no tomato for some things and feta on the side for Greek salads). Boars Head cold cuts! That's really the draw here. I haven't tried much else beyond their sandwiches, which are really very good. The whole Pizza Peddler name confuses me, because it feels more like a straight deli than a pizza place. Pros: Boars Head! Best deli meat on the face of this planet. It's pretty hard to find places in Boston that use it. At best, I buy Boars Head at Stop and Shop, but there are few delis in the area to go to that serve it. Prices are reasonable. Portions are on the larger side! Cons: Their selection is limited in terms of deli meat. I'd like to see a larger selection there. I've never really had a smooth experience at the register. Always seemed to have some sort of an issue with a new cashier or my card not going through. Maybe it's just my luck. The staff does vary, at least from my experience. I've gotten really nice girls and a couple of surly guys... so it's all over the board here. I like this place because it's local... but I'd rather hit up Lamberts in Norwood... and there's a Lamberts next to Boston Common too. So really, Pizza Peddler in a pinch, but Lamberts if I'm craving a huge, boars head sandwich. read more

Ordered here 630pm Feb 21st. Our first pizza was vegetarian that had more garlic smothered on it any human should eat in their lifetime. Believe it or not it was inedible. This is our local go to. Literally at least once a week. Salads are fresh. Sandwiches are really good. We are big fans of the broiled chicken or steak tips dinners as well. Like with anywhere once you are a regular you know how to order. Add lettuce to Peddlar signature wrap or light cheese on meatballs - whatever. I will say that the best staff work days to handle the lunch rush. The evenings can be dicey if just kids are working. But anytime my order has been wrong they've fixed it quickly and graciously. read more
