We were in search of teas- specifically green tea and oolong tea. The person who helped us is very nice and helped us find the loose leaf teas we like (which is tea without added flavorings). I got: Matcha latte with brown sugar boba: 10/10 very good with fresh tapioca pearls. Blackberry sage tea with tapioca: 10/10 mild sweetness. We got their three stack tea canister with 2 types of premium oolongs and 1 green tea. As well as a sampler of their Japanese sencha. We are very excited to try these teas! We would for sure be coming back to refill these containers in the future. They have some seating space for you to go grab a drink and enjoy it in store. They have a lot of teas to choose from for every type of tea lover. read more

And each container has origin and expiration info, unlike what you'll find in grocery store matcha. There aren't a lot of places in the area to find a good matcha drink, much less all things you need to make it ceremonially at home. I got a matcha whisk, a whisk stand, and a bamboo scooper along with the truly excellent ceremonial grade matcha she recommended. This place is in fact wonderful! It is staffed by only a couple regular workers, and they all know their stuff--not just what's on the menu, but how to make new and interesting flavors on the spot! Not only that but it's always the best tea I've ever tasted. They steep everything perfectly and their tapioca pearls (boba) are made fresh daily. And if you're looking for a gift or something nice to get yourself, the rest of the store is stocked with tea-making tools, wellness supplies, and fun trinkets all over--including some featured work by a local artist! We had visited Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg and decided to try some milk tea, which turned out to be delicious. There were a lot of options for both drinking and tasting choices and they were happy to give out samples. The confidence in their product helped sell it for me as well. We did not leave empty handed. Everything from the ambience of the store to superb customer service was something to behold. Worth the 5 star rating I gave them. Pretty frustrated. I bought a refillable canister being told I would get a discount. I travel a LOT for work and accidentally left it at my pad which is over 30 min drive. Got to the shop and explained to the girl working the register today that I had it on my account registered with them but explained I wanted to get some tea any way. She rolled her eyes at me and told me there was nothing they could do and walked off. I wasn't expecting to get the entire discount but she didn't even want to work with me. I really used to like going in there and not much incentive to keep doing business. I will just find another tea shop in Chicago. I really enjoyed this place and the girls used to be cool. Today was my second time here and both visits were great. Today I met the owner and he was very nice and helpful. He clearly wants his customers to be happy, more than simply making a sale. He explained to me that their higher-quality matcha is for drinking and there are other less expensive options for cooking. What that says to me is that when he and his staff are telling me about the different teas and flavors they sell, they're giving an honest opinion. It means a lot. And by the way, I received their matcha for the holidays and I've been really enjoying it. It's very worth the money and I plan to keep buying it. Came here with my sister and niece for boba. I liked that they had tea samples to try. Great place if you want to pick up tea making as a hobby. They explained that you could get any of the teas with boba so my niece got the green key west with regular tapioca. The tea was fruity and sweet but the tapioca was undercooked. I wouldn't recommend this place for boba. We were also the only customers in the place among maybe 5 workers and they didn't seem very inviting. read more

The tea selection is awesome! So many choices. I love how they have self serve samples to try! The employees were really nice. The iced tea did take a while to make (about 7 min or so), and I wasn't told before had that the iced tea had a teaspoon of raw sugar in there. I would have asked for unsweetened, as I don't like added sugar. I would recommend they tell you first. Regardless, I look forward to going back and trying another tea next time. This was the most disappointing business I've been to in LaGrange. Pros: wide array of teas, very similar to the selection you'd find at Teavana. Plenty of hot tea options for tasting. Authentic Jordanian pastries were good. Cons: boba was mushy. Cashier could not offer a recommendation among all the choices. The kicker was when we were purchasing a bag of trail mix. The cashier entered the wrong price per pound (higher than the actual). I walked over to the trail mix area to verify, brought it to her attention, and she brushed it off. Additionally, she spun the payment iPad around before I could select a receipt option. Felt super cheated, and while it was less than a dollar, it spoke volumes to me of what else they may be capable of. If you want boba, which is why I stopped in, I'd recommend Wheelys around the corner instead. read more

My fiance and I stopped in here today for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised to see all the samples they had out so we could try some teas before selecting one, especially since we've never been there before. There was already a lot of hand sanitizer out and reminders to use it in between tastings, but the man working (I'm assuming he's the owner or manager) quickly came over to re-sanitize everything for us and to remind us we skipped tasting 2 teas :) It was so cute how attentive he was! The teas were DELICIOUS - we decided on two cups to go, but not before my fiance raided all the freshly stocked candy they had! Two cups and a bag of candy was $11 - a great deal. The man/owner/manager also treated us to two pistachio macaroons on the house which was so kind. Not sure what it was, but this man and this cute little tea shop really had an impression on us. We handed him a cash tip as we left as a way to thank him for being so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Of course the shop, tea, candy and macaroons were great - but this man truly made our first visit special. Thank you! I definitely recommend paying this place a visit. I went here with a friend recently and I was amazed at the many hot teas that were available to sample. In addition to matcha, they had a selection of unusual herbal teas. I absolutely loved the banana nut herb tea. I look forward to going back and sampling more and purchasing more. There is also a small section of seating which was nice.
