UPDATE: The owner reached out to me following my review directly ensuring that this is all being taken care of. I really appreciate it as the quality of therapy is top notch! I really didn't want to be forced to switch providers. DO NOT go to this provider if your insurance is out of network! We are very sad that we have to terminate services with our OT, Jessica, over issues with management and billing. This provider is out of network for us so our insurance is billed by the provider and the insurance sends us checks to turn over to the provider. All other out of network providers take the checks from us and that's that...very simple process. Wonderkind refuses and wants us to scan each individual check and EOB which is a long tedious process. When we first started getting checks, I would bring them to the front office. The front desk would be like "oh don't pay now or give them to us now, we may have to invoice you for each one." It took them MONTHS to get this process straight. I had to bug them to try to make payments! Fast forward a few months later, I'm now being harassed for payments because "we cant pay our therapists." That's not my problem when your billing department FAILED to collect proper payments for MONTHS! I've sent over all the insurance checks I have and I'm being harassed with repeated square invoices for thousands because "according to the insurance these payments have been remitted." I've repeated to them that I don't have the checks! My suspicion is that they take forever to actually bill the insurance, the insurance takes their time to cut the checks and Wonderkind is harassing me so that I just pay everything up front. I am a mom of TWO special needs children. I don't have the time or space to continuously bug my insurance for checks. How long they take to pay is out of my control. I chose this provider because of the great reviews and they were nearby- I was willing to pay a little more for the convenience. It's all blown up in my face and I wouldn't recommend this facility to anybody- which is sad because the actual therapist is amazing. read more

So far no bad experiences with the therapist. My issue is with their schedule and communication system. Here are some issues I've occurred. 1. I've been on a waitlist for an afternoon appointment since June. No follow up. I've given up and just kept my regular schedule. 2. They have an automated text reminder. 3 times I received it and emailed them to confirm because the therapist told me she'd be out that day. Once I showed up and was told their new therapist doesn't start until a week later. Despite me getting the reminder from them. 3. I called for a day of the week change and was told they need to confirm the therapist availability and that they'll call me back once it's confirmed. I never got that call. 4. I had some problems with FSA where their receipts aren't accepted and they told me they would change my receipt from ST to say speech therapy. That never happened. Anything schedule related I just settled and work around the day he has. As far as FSA I go in have have them print me a detailed itemized receipt. Overall if you need something done and they can do it then and there, it'll be done quick. Phones and emails gets answered quickly. And you get a fast response. The problem is with their follow up and follow through. Interesting for a place that teaches speech has poor communication themselves. read more

Still very happy with my experience here! We started working with Crisca and we are so happy! She's a very patient, kind, and smart therapist. She understands our son's needs very well. My son has been seeing Ms. Zaria since around February 2023. She is wonderful. She has been kind, soft spoken and gentle with my son. She talks to my son throughout their session and explains what they are playing with and makes all the sounds pertaining to the animals or toys they are working with. At times, it can be difficult as he cannot fully communicate and yells when he is frustrated however, Ms. Zaria is able to continue to engage my son throughout their session despite his frustration. Liz and Melody at Wonderkind were fantastic with my son, Logan! My nonverbal Autism toddler. Both are great professionals! Both of them are very interactive with my him for the full hour. We met Liz long before she open her own clinic, my then 2 year old son, was and still is very selective with his therapist, if he didn't "click" with the therapist he was quick to wave bye and walk them to the front door for them to leave, but he was attracted to her right away, which surprised me A LOT! Melody took over for Liz as she started getting busier in opening her clinic, and of course Logan welcomes her with open arms! One of the best highlights was when Melody incorporated in his scheduled hour (before Covid-19) brushing his teeth, Logan never allowed me to brush his teeth, but wow within a couple of sessions she showed me and guided me on how to approach my son and look at us now, I get a full 3 mins when i brush his teeth. Wonderkind is WONDERFUL! My now 2 (almost 3) year old has been with Wonderkind for almost a year. We worked with Melody for a few months and she was amazing. We are teaching our son to be bilingual with both English and Spanish. Melody did her best and I helped to translate when she couldn't. It was a great learning experience for myself because it's something I get to also join my son to learn. We then were helped by another OT, Marissa. We've been with her since the start of the pandemic. I was concerned at first with Telehealth at first and super apprehensive. Marissa made the transition go smoothly. She communicates SO well through the sessions online/ in clinic. At the time, I had a 4 month old baby; Marissa was super understanding and patient with me via online. It was like a great team! We came to clinic in July and have great confidence being at Wonderkind. Marissa explained the procedures and the clinics measures to make it safe for everyone. Communication is great between the office staff. The location is fun, bright, so many swings, and clean. Everyone at the location is so nice too, super welcoming and you get familiar with them.
