It shouldn't be a big deal, but they don't get it to what you want. They'll either adjust it to be too cold or they shut it off, altogether. Could be a language barrier. It's BYOB and Food. We came prepared. The song selection is decent. They have a good mix of modern and old songs. Not enough Filipino music, though. The sound system is still good, but the controller to input the songs can be tricky. Also, some song listed in their booklets may no longer exist in the system. We've experienced it quite a number of times. We still enjoyed our time there. And we are most likely to return, especially since we don't know any other karaoke joints in my area.

We ordered the larger room thinking more people would show but it ended up being 8 of us. The man that worked there wanted to only give us an hour but one of the girls talked to him to extend it to 2. The room was so cold and we asked if they could turn on the heat and he said "no heat." So we had to freeze until we moved around a bit. The catalog was kind of small in their book but we were able to still make due with what they had. It was an ok time that I had.

There's also a large parking lot out front, so parking was easy and convenient. The rooms themselves were decent, but the karaoke setup definitely felt outdated and was harder to use than expected. There were two ways to select songs: using the Korean karaoke system or a Samsung tablet connected to YouTube. We ended up using YouTube, but the system was frustrating to navigate. The tablet had a thick film over the screen that made clicking difficult, and searching songs had to be extremely specific for karaoke vibes (for example, typing "Love Story KTV" instead of just the song name). It was also inconvenient trying to queue songs while someone else was singing because you had to minimize the current video to search the next one, making it hard for the person singing to follow the lyrics. On top of that, every time we tried adding songs to the queue, it would accidentally click into another video and cut off the current song mid performance. A lot of time was wasted just trying to search and add songs. It would be better if they allowed Bluetooth connection to personal devices instead, so adding songs would be more efficient, just a thought...

I suppose I am in the minority but...this is the most basic, bare-bones karaoke experience you can have! I'm saying this after going to luxury karaoke establishments (see my review for Tokyo Kitty in Cincinnati) and doing karaoke at bars for years. This establishment provides you with a room (a different size depending on your party), a mic, and a tablet with Youtube. The place has no ambience whatsoever. It is not just BYOB, it's BYOE - as it, BRING YOUR OWN EVERYTHING! You literally bring everything yourself - both food and drinks! To me, that is where Volume Up is really missing out, not just on the experience of the people, but also revenue. I can understand it being a BYOB to cut down on costs, but to offer no food at all? They have some canned / bottled drinks and snacks, and that's it. You can get delivery to this place but that adds an extra to your evening, and if you come here hungry you're SOL! (I would even take the reverse and order drinks here and bring snacks.) We were here with a party of about 12 people. The room was a little tight for us, but it suited us just fine - the next room up would have been a little more money. They have one AC unit for the room and TBH it got incredibly hot after drunk singing for two hours. Also, as I mentioned, the karaoke was literally a tablet connected to Youtube - and if you moved the table off of its holder, the cast disconnected and you had to get the desk worker. It's a cheap night out with friends! We had fun, the prices were fair, but if I were to go somewhere to get my karaoke fix, this wouldn't be the first place I would pick.

I thought I was just going out to eat with some friends last Friday night but little did I know…read morethat for the past 6 months, my wife was planning a surprise 40th birthday party for me. On our walk to the restaurant I thought I was going to, we stopped inside Songbird to "find out party information". I was led back to the large back room which was dark and quiet. It was opened for me, the lights were turned on and about 40 of family members and friends that I love yelled SURPRISE!!! For about the next 3 hours, there was singing, laughing, speeches, cake and to be honest, one of my favorite nights of my life. Thank you Songbird for being a big part of this wonderful celebration!

We got there about 1:30, brunch is from 1-5 pm. Show starts at 3. We were able to come and get settled with some drinks and order food before the show started. Brunch is a little limited in terms of options, but priced very reasonably. I ordered a simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that was pretty small on an English muffin sized bun. It was tasty! Mimosas are two dollars! Seem to be a little more OJ than bubbly, so I added a shot of vodka that took it and me over the top lol. Shout out to Dayshawn, really nice bartender!! Unfortunately, can't say the same for a female bartender that was also working... very unwelcoming and barely acknowledged us at all. Inside is a little dive bar-ish which added to the experience for me! Before you go, $5 cover charge and cash only! Was a little bummed about spending $4 to get money out of the ATM. Ok, on to the show!! SO MUCH FUN! Extremely entertaining! Divinity Banks... OMG. Show stopping beauty who is extremely talented! Very engaging with the crowd and it was just a really good time!
