WON'T COME HERE AGAIN! It's pretty and clean but...This place is extremely noisy. You sit directly on the highway with cars, trucks and motorcycles racing by all day and night. I've spent the night in an rv at a rest area on the Dan Ryan in Chicago near O'Hare and it was quieter. The laundry is exorbitant. $3 per load and the machines aren't even household size. It takes 2 dries to get anything dry. $9 is way too much. Most campgrounds charge $2 per load and are standard size. read more

this campground is well taken care of. The sites are nicely groomed. We stayed here two nights, it was close to capital Reef. The staff is very pleasant. They're just aren't enough showers or laundry facilities for the size of the campground. The campground was full and both days we had to wait in line to use a shower. The laundry was constantly in use. They had four washers and dryers and just not enough. But everything was nice and clean. read more

I absolutely loved this place. Easy to navigate, green trees and grass everywhere, and a quick walk to the gas station (or 5 min drive into town for delicious food). The customer service was excellent, and the hot showers were heavenly. Showers are on timers so that everyone has an opportunity to have a hot shower. Bath houses were very clean, as was the entire campsite. Dogs are welcome, and there's a dog park. Grass volleyball court is fun, and you get to watch the beautiful mountains from nearly every campsite. read more

This park is a gem. All the spots have a patch of grass and are easy to get your rig into. Bathrooms and showers are spotless. The crew works really hard to make sure everything is done right and is super helpful. We had an electrical issue with our motorhome and Christina jumped right in and found the problem. She was also ready with hiking tips. Another real plus is its proximity to Capitol Reef. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the noise from the traffic on Hwy. 24 during the day, but there is very little traffic to no traffic, at night, so it didn't affect our sleep. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and added a 2nd night. Because it was last minute, we moved to a second spot but that wasn't a problem because we were gone all day touring Capitol Reef. Both sites were level. Because the second site didn't have a sewer hookup, they said to feel free to use one of the other sites that would be vacant when we left. The fruit trees are amazing! It was fun to get half dozen apples. The backdrop of pastureland with horses and cows was amazing. The sunrise and sunset are gorgeous. The grass is well kept as are the fruit trees which are watered daily. The site is clean, it's obvious they take pride in the condition of the grounds and restrooms. We had no issue washing dishes, disposing of trash, and dog poop. The shower rooms include a bathroom which have a key code, they are generously large with shower in the private room. I like this trend I've seen on our trip. There is a time limit to ensure everyone can use the shower facilities. The regular bathrooms do not have a key code to which there 3 that are closed for cleaning 10:00-11:30 daily. Everywhere we've been has an hour or so closed daily for cleaning, nobody is admitted. I didn't notice any rules that every other site we've stayed at didn't require, just common sense and courtesy. There were sites of all sizes based upon desire or need and cute little cabins as well. I was impressed with the car spots as many locations don't provide that. read more

We loved this park! On the smaller side, with more RV parking than tents but that meant less traffic in the restrooms / facilities, which was convenient for us. The tent sites have little fenced off areas that help with the wind and back up to a cow farm which was adorable. The restrooms and individual showers were so clean, they had drinking water and outlets available, as well as hammock stands. I would absolutely stay here again. Only 10 minutes from Capitol Reef park. read more

I happened upon the Wonderland RV Park while on a motorcycle ride in Utah. I needed a place to tent camp, had showers, and a laundry room. Bingo, Wonderland RV Park had all three. Friendly staff and in a great location! I'll look forward to my next visit! read more

Great spot to stay when visiting Capital Reef. Convenient location and the log cabin we stayed looked brand new and super clean. It has a decent size fridge and a microwave. No coffee maker. I booked the cabin knowing there's no restroom in the cabin. It will be nice to have at least the toilet as it's freezing to go to the public restroom right cross of our cabin in the middle of the night lol. The best part is waking up looking through our window and see the majestic mountain in the back drop, the large area where cows are grazing peacefully. It feels like I am in some European country. Surprisingly there are a few local spots that's really good (dark sky coffee and a local restaurant that has their own ranch) we stayed for two nights which is a good amount of time to explore CR national park. I would recommend this place and will def book next time I visit the park again. read more

We are in the middle of a May (2024) Utah National Parks tour and stayed here while we visited Capital Reef National Park. So far this is by far the nicest RV Park we have stayed in and we have been here for 3 days. It is absolutely immaculate and the staff takes great pride in all aspects. The bathrooms and showers are the nicest we have seen. The RV spots are large with beautiful trees and everything works! If your plans have you in Torrey and visiting Capital Reef NP you will find Wonderland RV to add to your visit. read more

Great RV campground. Only 10 miles from Capitol Reef Visitors Center. Nice grounds, pull thru and back in sites, clean, modern restrooms and showers. Pulled in mid-afternoon today and we had a choice of 6 available sites for our 25' Sprinter van for a 2 night stay. Friendly staff, several restaurants nearby, fuel across the street. read more

Awesome and clean place to stay just outside of Capitol Reef. We could not find a place to stay inside the park, but after seeing the offerings in the park which were tight and crowded, we opted to check out the community rather than BLM camp. Wonderland was excellent, very well kept for tent, big and small RV and some small cabins ( you can even stay in a sheep camp wagon) Very cost effective, with discounts for military, senior and Good Sam (no stacking) Very clean showers, with timers, fire pit, laundry, dish sink, dog walk area. The staff were welcoming and it was adjacent the main road with no noise. Behind the property is a farm and a nice view. We primarily stayed and went to the park so we did not spend much time, but I would totally stay to visit longer in the future if we come that way. read more

Made our reservation over the phone and arrived after the office was closed. We were confused about not having a check in packet but later found it at our site (for bathroom code). We LOVED our site (#36). Backed right up to a beautiful green pasture with bison and cows. Plenty of privacy for an RV park. Didn't hear any highway traffic noise. Other campers were respectful of quiet hours too. Bathrooms and showers were clean, except for some hair in the shower that somone didn't clean up after themself. Also a 7 minute shower timer is annoying. I understand water conservation but when you haven't had a shower in many days and have been on the road for 4 weeks it would be nice to at least have 10 minutes. Covered pavilion was much needed when there was sudden wind and rain. Plenty of other amenities we didn't use or have time for. Would stay again! read more

3 miles to Capitol Reef National Park. Even though it's on the highway at night the traffic is very sparse so we slept well. There is a large enclosed dog play area, a volleyball court, basketball hoop, and lowing cows in the farm adjacent. We really loved our visit here and I highly recommend it. read more

Wonderful RV spot! Nice grassy spaces, plenty of room. Very clean. If you have kids this place is great. Big grassy areas - bring to whiffle ball game!! Property is adjacent to farm - with rather friendly cows that kids seemed to love. Very clean laundry and restroom. Didn't use the shower. Quick zip to Capital Reef. Close to some really good food which is surprising based on how far you are to a town of any size. Go to Hunt and Gather and Wild Rabbit. People in our crew also raved about the Mexican place. read more

One of the best maintained RV parks we stayed at during a 50 day Southwest Adventure caravan with 30 rigs. The owner, Tracy, was a most gracious host and easy to work with for making the necessary arrangements. The park had large shade trees and well maintained green grass areas. Our 5th wheel was hooked up and ready to leave and we had some battery problems, so I told both my kids to go use the campground bathrooms before we left. My 7 year old son was wearing a dress that day. They are a boy and uses a boys bathroom, though they like to wear dresses sometimes. An employee named Jason stopped them and says they are using the wrong bathroom, and that the girls restroom is next door. My son tell them they are not a girl, but the employee still kicks them out of the bathroom and blocks the door so he cannot go in. My wife approaches asked the employee what was going. The guy replies, She is wearing a dress, and looks like a girl. She cant use the boys bathroom. My wife tells him my child is not a girl, they just like to wear dresses. He replies to her pointing at our child, You know what that is? That is a mental problem, that's what that is! Your son has a mental disorder! All of this right in front of my 7 and 9 year old children. My son stormed off crying and my wife told him he was extremely rude and followed our son away. The man, Jason, shouted that she was the one being rude and went about his business as if nothing happened. As we were leaving the RV park, that same man (Jason) was using a weed whacker in the driveway. He turned towards my truck and shot up a handfull of rocks at our truck. Our truck now has several dings and scratches on the driver side. I rolled down the window and yelled at him, Hey, you just shot out a bunch of rocks at my truck! He told me my truck was already scratched up and he didnt do anything. I took out my phone to take a picture of the guy (Jason) so we could file a complaint later. He got extremely upset and started charging at our truck with his weed whacker in hand yelling What, you want my picture now! Ill make it easier, my name is Jason! He was looking to start a fight (in front of both of my children), so I quickly drove away. I came back shortly after to complain to the owner of the park. He tried to brush it off as if his employee was just having a bad day, and that he was really a good guy. I told him, No, a good guy doesnt treat a 7 year old child that way. He claims the weed whacker damage was an accident, (though he made no attempt to fix the damage), clearly the employee had it out for us and thought he was being clever. We are lucky our windows were closed and he didnt send one of us to the hospital. It is hard to describe the anger we felt towards this RV park and their employee, Jason. I fear that my complaint to the owners of the park fell upon deaf ears and the man who verbally assaulted our brave 7 year old child will still be working there tomorrow as if nothing happened. The best we can do is share our story in hopes that other families can avoid people and businesses like this. If you have LGBTQ family members or support LGBTQ people and their families, please do not stay at this park. read more

Gas station (incl diesel), little market with Subway sandwich shop, and Wings restaurant are just across the street. It is located on Hwy 24 so some backin sites may experience a little road noise from time to time. This RV park was full most days, so recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. The Wonderland RV Park has one of the most hateful employees that we've ever encountered. The garbage cans are smelly, there's not many bathrooms, and they don't have a garbage bin anywhere for you to throw away dog waste bags. The laundry is outside. It's also noisy from the adjoining highway. The cow and horse manure in the adjacent field was strong smelling. They are very Kareny here. The manager stalks through the park, looking to yell at people. I thought she was the wife of the guy camping behind us when we pulled in, because I saw her arguing with him. We were getting ready to pull out. Something had spilled when unhooking the sewer and had splashed on the one side of our RV, so we quickly rinsed it off. We were not washing our whole rig, or even washing that side. We just wanted to quickly get off the messy patch spilled when undoing the brown water tank hose.. Another employee drove a golf cart out to scold us, telling us we couldn't wash our rig (we weren't) and we didn't realize how much he pays for water for us to be wasting water. Our business before we retired was installing irrigation systems, and we are sensitive to conserving water. Everywhere on property they have manual hoses and sprinkler heads watering. It's a colossal actual waste of water, and extremely inefficient. It was just ironic to be yelled at for quickly rinsing off a patch of mess while they wasted gallons and gallons of water everywhere we looked. If we had used excess water, they could set limits and assess fees. They don't have to drive around yelling at people. It's stressful closing up your RV and packing up. Why cause someone more grief? You can also say things nicely without being adversarial. When leaving, Susie mentioned to an employee that they can just monitor water usage and charge a fee if we exceed the amount you are allotted. He told her he didn't know what she was talking about. It was the wrong employee. Susie told him never mind, and he started actually screaming at her, saying "oh, you were just coming over to b**** at me!" She just got in the RV to drive away, and he ran after our RV, screaming at us, and pounded on the driver's door. We rolled down the window, to hear him screaming "BIDEN VOTER! BIDEN VOTER! BIDEN VOTER!" It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen in my life. Susie responded with a not very nice expletive, and he told us never to come back. We will never come back for sure. A few quick points here: 1. What does our political affiliation have to do with anything? 2. We are Biden voters. We think Trump, and his supporters - like that crazy cave man, are treasonous. 3. At one time, republicans believed in fiscal moderation or conservatism. Charge and profit! If we use over our allotted water - charge for it. 4. Get some therapy to deal with your anger management issues. read more

After a long drive arriving after dark, we were greeted by Jamin and his big smile. He set us up with an easy beautiful spot and offered to share his dinner with us. We were so touched as arrived after the restaurants had closed and we had not yet provisioned our RV. After a great nights sleep we woke up in a beautiful setting. The showers were spotless and set us up for a gorgeous day. Jamin recommended the Wild Rabbit Cafe for breakfast, a real treat with homemade pastries, espresso drinks and other hot delicious breakfast foods. We'll be back! read more

Stayed in a tent spot and loved it. It's a close to Capitol Reef as you can get. They've upgraded their WiFi so you get good signal throughout the park. The bathrooms are nice and clean. They have a picnic area, basketball court, showers, and laundry. If you're not tent camping or RVing, they have several cabins you could stay in. And, there's a great coffee shop across the street (Castlerock Coffee). All in all, a great place to stay. read more

We heard great reviews about this RV park and thought we'd give it a shot while we tried to find some dispersed camping places around Torrey/Capitol Reef. We were greeted very warmly at the office and the gentlemen who checked us in was very thorough. The park it self is very clean. Each spot has a picnic table with grass (I haven't seen grass in a couple weeks in this part of Utah)! Each spot is well lit as well with a small light at the end of each one. The bathrooms and showers are incredibly clean and well taken care of. There are private showers (not sure how common that is - we're newbies to RV parks) which was fantastic. They do offer laundry facilities as well. The one thing that didn't get them a 5 star review was the wifi. I realize we're in southern Utah so connectivity is limited but being someone who has to work from the road, wifi is incredibly important. It seems that the wifi by the office is stronger than farther away so it may do them good to add extenders. Overall, everything was very nice here and I would recommend anyone stop here and stay for a while! read more
