I wasn't not mad, however, because the bartender drove all the way out to West Allis to track my card down, he paid me the amount that that other Joe had accidentally charged to my card, and he made te situation right in addition to being overly apologetic. That level of customer service is unparalleled and should be recognized if not lauded. You can judge an establishment by how it reacts under pressure, and everything went right last night. I got there at lunch time and the place was empty but people started coming in. They don't have a kitchen but frozen pizza is as good as it gets and I was not interested in a frozen pizza. I ordered a gin with soda water and lime juice and to my surprise I got fresh squeezed lime juice which I wasn't expecting from a dive bar. Overall it's a nice friendly neighborhood bar where you can chill.

To my surprise the potato options were frys, toots and wedges, hell yah because I love wedges and they are few and far between on bar menus. The windows let in lots of natural light so it's not a dungeon feel. I think the table in back was enjoying playing gin because they kept shuffling a deck of cards. Juxtaposition for fun and enjoyment! Nothing fancy, which is just the way I (generally) like it. Should you find yourself killing time in Butler for any reason, this is a solid place to do it.
