We had some challenges due to staffing issues, and we waited for almost 2 hours in line for the course alone. They had one person working it and it is to much for one. It causes major delays. Things to know: This place can get really crowded and loud and there is a lot of light/movement variations that can be too stimulating. There are some things for small kids however the ideal age seems to be about 8-16. There are many things that small children cannot do. There were quite a few things that were not working at all or in part and we never saw anyone cleaning. There is a lot to do in here. This place should be rebranded to say it is an arcade only and not that it had interesting mind games. Long long lines to do absolutely anything and the 'wonder works' area is only like 3 exhibits. The last thing to do is laser tag and then you're done. Place is super overpriced for being an arcade. Definitely not work the wait, price or anxiety of waiting for your turn to even look at an exhibit. Don't waste your money. And then they have a concession stand in the 2nd floor that is also overpriced. read more

When I think of Pigeon Forge, I think of gimmickey tourist trap central. We came down for a bachelorette party and this attraction was on the top of the bride's list. However, I really enjoyed this place a lot more than I thought I would have! It's about $28 for a regular ticket, but we easily spent 3 hours in here so it felt like it was worth it. I thought it was just like a museum or something, but it was really cool to see all kinds of rides and different experiences inside. A few of my favorites were the upside down bicycles (SO cool!!) and the roller coaster simulator (caution: it does make you a tad nauseous.) There were a couple disappointing ones that I would skip next time, like the earthquake simulator and the laser tag. I felt like a kid in a candy store going through here, getting to mess with all of the interactive stuff while also learning a thing or two. I imagine this place is best for kids maybe 8 and up, and anyone younger may not enjoy it as much since they will not reach height requirements for a lot of things. I would love to come here again and go through what I missed last time! read more

We had such a great time here. We were visiting for spring break and Happened to pop in on a day that was "slower then normal", which was great because there were still lines for some of the exhibits. We spent over 6 hours checking everything out and there was stuff for us adults and more then enough for the kids. This place is a combination of a children's museum and Dave and busters. I was pleased to see that once you paid admission, everything inside was included, including a VR experience and a few other small rides (except the arcade at the very end). read more

This is the place you go to get the stomach bug and get sick. As soon as you walk in there is a very strong overpowering smell can't quite place it but everyone smelled it. It made a lot of people very nauseous. It is dark with lots of flashing lights, though it may say museum it's really more of a classic tourist trap and a cheap arcade tossed together. So many kids running around touching everything, I cannot imagine not going here and leaving without bringing home some kind of sickness. The "rides" and attractions are very tourist trap, and aren't really worth it. Would not go again ever. Employees look miserable and I don't blame them because that job is horrible. Laser tag is also not worth it, picture around 30 people packed into 30 square feet, so basically it wasn't even a game as you could barely move. If you still want to come here, just be prepared for the awful smell, and to bring home some sicknesses. Definitely bring hand sanitizer for minimum, though a full hazmat suit would be better. The warping vortex tunnel was fun though. read more

We visited the Wonder Works attraction today 08/31/25 @ 12pm. We made it about an hour through the attraction when my kids wanted to do the indoor rope obstacle course. We got in line and waited our turn. Once at the front, the guy running the rope course told the kids to step up on the scale to make sure they met the weight requirements. He then proceeded to tell my wife and I to step forward. I told him we were waiting and wanted to get out of line. He followed up with a nasty reply of "waiting on what"? I said "my kids, what else would I be waiting for. He then got a major attitude and started threatening me. I told him I wanted to talk to a manager because he should not be threatening a paying customer. He pulled out his name bad that read "MATT, OPERATION MANAGER" and told me no one was above him and there was nothing I could do. I told him he needed to watch his mouth because this was unacceptable. He replied "or what, what are you going to do"? He finally said "you know what, you have to leave follow me". We followed him to the front of the store and he asked me for my receipt. He said we had to leave and was not welcome back. As we were walking out, he spoke under his breath and called us a racial slur. There is no way this guy should still be employed. I will contact corporate and see if there is in fact anyone above this hateful guy MATT, OPERATION MANAGER AT WONDER WORKS IN PIGEON FORGE. read more

This is, of course, a tourist trap, but it's well enough designed if you have kids between 5-10. I went with a buddy and our kids while our wives had a relaxing morning, and the kids were easily amused for two hours and could have gone longer had the dads not been at the point of noise-crazy. It's VERY loud. That's the chief complaint, although some of the more electronically intensive attractions were not working at 100% and the earthquake cafe and hurricane hut were a bit underwhelming. The ropes course looked fun enough, but our kids were not fully confident with it, and neither dad was going to fit through it easily enough to be useful, so we skipped that part. The enormous claw machine/arcade halfway through the museum was also obnoxious, as money grabs are slightly annoying when you've already over-payed for the attraction itself. We hurried our kids through that part and looked at a few of the optical illusions on the way out. I would probably go again at some point now that I have a better sense of time to allot it and will know to bring hearing protection, especially for our hard-of-hearing son. read more

We decided to take our 19 month old son to check out this cool attraction. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot for him to experience since he is so young. We had a pretty good time though. Some of the attractions were closed due to Covid. There were several lines and people just standing around waiting which made it seem super tight and congested. Honestly, the coolest part of tho was the fact it was an upside down. There was hardly anything for our young children, 2 & 1, so we basically paid $80 to walk around in the air conditioning for an hour. Don't take anyone under the age of 8. read more

My boyfriend and I went over the weekend while in Pigeon Forge. I will say that the wait wasn't long at all. The staff was extremely nice. It had us a bit fooled though because we thought it was going to be like the illusions kind of deal. But we still made the best out of it. Our family of seven went here on Wed, June 23, 2021, mostly for the kids (ages 8 & 13). We had bought our tickets online several days in advance but were still forced to wait in line to get "real" tickets so we could enter. The whole place was definitely geared towards the kids, and to be honest, there wasn't really a theme to it. I'd read that it was an "interactive science museum," and while that was true for parts of it, other parts were more like an arcade. There were a few rides as well that resembled some you'd find in an amusement park (complete with height requirements, fyi, so check ahead of time), and they also had laser tag & a 4-tier ropes course way up in the air. It felt like they wanted to throw as many different things in there as possible. It had kind of a hodge-podge feeling to it -- definitely not my favorite experience of our trip, but it still had fun parts. We experienced several of the science exhibits, some of our group played laser tag, and all but one of us did the ropes course. The lines weren't very long, and everything appeared to be open & running properly. The ropes course was by far my favorite part of the museum/arcade/amusement park. There were several different obstacles to go on, and we were allowed to stay on for as long as we wanted. The bed of nails was a neat concept, and laser tag seemed like it could be fun. But even the ones of our group who did that, while enjoying it, also said that it was just a big free-for-all with everyone shooting at everyone in a room that was really too small to properly play laser tag. We went to the gift shop at the end of the trip, but we were not impressed. There weren't a lot of Wonderworks or exhibit-specific items. There were a lot of items geared towards kids that had nothing to do with the museum/arcade/amusement park whatsoever. There wasn't a single item in there relating to the ropes course, and I didn't end up buying anything (& I am generally the type to buy a souvenir pretty much every place I go!). Overall, it's a decent place to take kids. However, as an adult, if not for the ropes course, I think it would have been pretty lackluster. read more

Wow. What a blast. My 2 year old was a little overwhelmed at first because there was so much going on but ended up having fun! Not as much to do for him but there is something for everyone. Most rides have a weight limit of 250 lbs but there is still plenty to do if you are on the plus size. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the arcade at the end. Way TOO crowded! We used 2 free tickets and paid for the other 2 tickets out of pocket and still feel disappointed. Thankfully, our 2 yr old got in free. (More on this below) We purchased tickets online and still had to wait outdoors in the cold - with other customers that had not bought tickets ahead of time. Once inside, the place was so crowded you could barely use any of the attractions. Not much for young kids, our 2yr feel asleep, while our 8 and 14 yr old managed to get 2 rides in, before we decided to leave. (Due to the long lines and crowded nature inside) Fire department really needs to look into how WonderWorks packs people inside, seems very unsafe, if an emergency would happen. Rehab needed along with fixing the broken games/attractions. Great idea but poor execution! I would not recommend this place if you have younger kids. read more

When you have your tickets, they're good for all day. You can take a lunch break and come back afterwards. We love the rock climbing wall, the ropes course, and the 3D theatre. I've been dying to try this place and check it out everytime we've been in the mountains with family. We finally got around to being able to do that, my husband and three kids ranging from 2, 8, and 15. It was okay, but a lot of the things there didn't work. The bubbles, the "run" game, the bicycle/Motorcycle game, the screen ball throwing game was way off, it was overall pretty disappointing. Cool photo ops but that's about it to be honest. They do have a military discount and I used a free ticket I got from the cabin we stayed at otherwise it's kind of a waste of money if we had to have spent more. read more

If you go with younger kids, just know there's not as much that will be of interest and you'll be paying your ticket to chaperone your kids. This is a must-visit activity! There are so many things to see and do at Wonderworks. Hands down my favorite activity during my family trip. Spent $80 for me and my wife, went in after we paid. Kids all over the place unsupervised. When you go to something to check it out random kids will push you out of the way or jump in front of you (no parents in sight). When you get in line for rides there will be kids cutting in front of you going under lines and past you (parents no where to be found). Place is a joke for $40 a person. read more

I took my youth group to WonderWorks for a day of fun while we were in Pigeon Forge for a conference. I worked with their groups person, Michelle, ahead of time to get our tickets, etc. She was SO wonderful to work with. I had our reservation made ahead of time, so we didn't have to wait in the regular line. I had seen the building numerous times during my trips to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, but never went before. I am so glad I took my group!! This place is so much fun and also very educational. You need at least 1 full day to take advantage of the whole place. There are so many different things to experience from hurricane force winds, to a 5.3 magnitude earthquake, to rock wall climbing, and laser tag, and so much more! My group is already asking to go back next time we're down there. I look forward to it! read more
