It has been a while since we've ordered from Wong's, and the food in the past was much better than our order this time. We ordered Coconut Chicken and Cinnamon Walnut Chicken. The latter was decent, and the fried chicken piece were ACTUALLY big pieces of chicken breast. However I can't actually say that the Coconut Chicken had ANY chicken in it! What it had was some kind if soft rubbery pieces of "I don't know what." Surely not chicken. I am posting photos here to let you be the judge. This was really disgusting and disappointing. The "coconut" sauce was unlike anything Thai coconut that I've eaten before, and that includes what I ate in Bangkok, as well as around the corner. I decided to try another Chinese take out near my house, worst decision. As a long time customer, I'm going to say I no longer recommend or patronize this restaurant. I called a place to take out order at 9:32PM and was told they were closed. I have ordered numerous times around this time as it's when I get off of work. Nowhere near ten o'clock, as I would never order if I couldn't be there before closing. The irony is that I usually have to wait an extended amount of time to get my simple food order but don't complain about that whatsoever. They have lost my business. Ordered take out from this Chinese restaurant for lunch. Ordered the honey garlic chicken combination and spare ribs combination and they both came with fried rice and egg rolls. I also ordered crab rangoons. I feel like all the food is good portion size. The food is your typical Chinese cuisine. My favorite are the spare ribs because the bbq sauce they put on it is so delicious. The eggs rolls are big but nothing out of this world. Service is good, it's strictly take out here. The restaurant is small and in the Publix plaza and there's not much to see here. If you want quick and fast Chinese food this spot works. read more

My family has been getting wongs for years!!! We typically order delivery but when we've went inside it was a very small location that you ordered from the front and they brought the food out. I remember there being chairs to sit but not to dine in. It's easy and right to the point to order what you want. The honey garlic chicken is top tier!! The food used to be great now it's terrible. I used to live in that area and we ate from Longs all the time and now when we're down to that area, we always pick up food from there to take home. I have been taking out food at Wongs for probably 20 years now. I am probably not the first to say that coming from New York, I have learned that the best Chinese food is in New York. I moved down here in 1972. That is when I learned that New York was unique in the quality of food I was used to. Within a few years I found Wong's and realized that the food there was as good as what I used to get in New York and tasted very much like it. I didn't have to fly to New York three or four times a year to get my Chinese food anymore. Congratulations Wongs . Particular help all these years was LeAnn, who used t8 call me handsome. I moved to far for them to deliver. However, I was impressed to find out that they now deliver through Uber Eats and last week I had my first dose of the way I remember Chinese food should be. Today after the Gym I was hungry and walking to my car passed Wongs, and decided to buy Egg Roll, it was cheap enough and wasn't expecting what they gave me, it was meal by itself and so delicious and crunchy. Wongs is in one of the most unassuming shopping malls (but hey all great Chinese take out places are). We got the honey chicken combo and the general Tso combo. In addition we got a pint of the lo Mein. The food was great and everything you want from a Chinese take out. The portions are MASSIVE and I do not say that lightly. We most likely got three meals each out the entrees so if you don't like leftovers, I would definitely recommend splitting an entree. Just moved to the area so I'm excited that I found Wongs and can't wait to order again soon. read more

I had moderate-high hopes, given this establishment has been open for nearly 30 years. I tried to call to place my order, and instead of someone picking up the phone I was hung up on. The online order option was not loading on any web browser that I tried. So I went to the store to order. I should have taken these signs as a warning. I have to say, I'm very disappointed. The soup was ironically more meat than soup. The General Tao's chicken was almost as if they took fists full of chicken and mushed them together to fry it and pour sauce on top. The chicken was so dry, sauce was too sweet, and it was just a clumpy mess. The Lo Mein was too dry, needed a little sauce and spicing to bring it together. I know better. Last night I dined on quality food at Bellini Italian Bistro - as I do frequently. So what was I doing at Wong's today? I'll be asking myself that for a long time to come... I was running errands and wanted to get lunch for hubby to drop it off at his office. I was near a Publix so I stopped in to get a sandwich (yeah, I should have gone to Louie K's Club Sandwich - yet another misstep, I know). I figured Wong's was in the same lot so I'd pick up some food for my lunch. I was nostalgic for dishes from my childhood - farthest from authentic Chinese food - so I ordered Egg Foo Young and a combo dish of boneless spareribs. What the hell, Wongs? The Egg Foo Young gravy wasn't packed separately. Even though they courteously put the container in a plastic bag, the sauce spilled out of the container and collected at the bottom of the plastic bag. THE SAUCE TASTED LIKE THE LOVE CHILD OF CHINESE FIVE SPICE AND VASELINE. I guess I should thank them for letting some spill out of the container. The combo dish was comprised of 'fried rice' - actually rice with soy sauce, some burned bits, and boiled chicken. No egg, no veggies, no love. The meat was 3" x 4" slices of tough pork coated in a reddish sugary glaze. There was a skewer of reddish glazed chicken on a stick. The chicken was tough and stuck on the stick. The egg roll was crispy and stuffed with pork and cabbage - I was looking forward to it but the oil that they used is old and really needs to be disposed. I took a big, big bite and then spit it out. THAT was lunch. Wow. I could have just ripped the money up and saved myself time. I threw out everything but I did take the pork from the combo dish and rinsed off the glaze before chopping it up for our dogs. I FIGURE ONE OF THEM SOMETIMES EATS POOP SO SHE WILL MOST LIKELY EAT THIS MEAT. I brought this on myself. I could have gone to so many other restaurants. I could have checked on Yelp for recommendations. I had options but today, I didn't think and I paid for it. Lesson learned. read more

Kinda hesitant to try this place, but realized most of the negative reviews were from previous ownership. The service here is amazing! The deliver driver is as quick as he can be, the front receptionist is really kind and welcoming, and the cook is quick and attentive to flavors. The egg roll is stuffed with a ton of cabbage and little meat, but it's still really good with a little bit of duck sauce. The honey garlic chicken is sweet, well battered and crispy. The General Taos Chicken has a bit of a kick to it. I really like the egg drop soup. Overall, the food is fresh, flavorful, and comforting! Definitely recommend a try. read more

I ordered delivery from Wongs. I was pleasantly surprised by the portions and flavorful food. Bento box is the way to go. Also, nicely sized egg rolls. nNot chintzy like some Chinese restaurants. I stopped on Sunday afternoon for the first time. Ordered the chicken Lo Mein. The portions are huge. This will make me at least 3 meals. The egg roll is big and fat ,Almost a meal in itself. Yrs ago we would order the family meal every week- figured it was time for a try- order on phone not online- she said it would be an hour which it was- upgraded to special rice for $2 why not - total $35.00 and we picked it up- still had huge egg rolls but they are just cabbage Nothing else- honey garlic chicken , walnut chicken pretty standard - ask for Xtra garlic as there will be non otherwise - disappointed with bourbon chicken it is cooked with one whole green pepper sliced - terrible sauce was like water and no flavor- rice was ok you get a handful of small shrimp and chicken for the $2- best part of the meal are the crab Rangoons - lady is kind of angry but I think it must be the temp in the place had to be 90 degrees- maybe ok for lunch or feeding a group of hungry kids but will go try another place next week - not impressed just need more flavor- read more
