    Gah!
    Marie M.

We were fans of this Asian kitchen but the last couple of times, it has been a total miss! Today, I wanted to change things up and try some rolls. Gah! They were the worst I've ever had! The chicken was dry and as hard as a beef jerky stick, the brown rice was awful, and the Nori was chewy--so I knew it wasn't fresh. The only part I enjoyed was the ginger strips, wasabi and eel sauce--now that's sad! In addition, my daughter couldn't finish her orange chicken because some of the pieces were also hard, and, the spring rolls appeared to have been refrigerated and re-heated but the temperature of the food wasn't hot. I picked up on time so it wasn't as though our food was being driven around town. Why the two stars? One for good service and one for the prompt turnaround, but I'm so disappointed.

I ordered take-out from RiceUp through the Yelp app, delivered by Door Dash. I ordered a Rainbow Roll and I forget the name of the other roll I ordered but it strangely came with a side of teriyaki chicken (didn't note on the menu) which I thought was a nice addition but odd. I don't like ordering warm food with my sushi because the warmth from the hot food always makes the sushi warm. I would say the sushi was slightly above average, however, a bit disheveled when finally delivered to me as the delivery driver had a very hard time finding my location. I made sure to put specific directions on where my office was located in the plaza and the driver took over an hour to deliver my food. I almost called them to see what the status was since the app wasn't updating on the location. They ended up calling me and I spent 15 minutes on the phone with the girl from the restaurant who was trying to explain to the driver where I was located. I could see him driving around the plaza and tried my best to waive him down. They're not far from where I am so I'm willing to try them out again, but next time I'll just go pick up from their location.

My lunch with a side of not my hair in it

I've ordered here often since they've opened, but not only are their prices rising, yet their quality and serving sizes have fallen short along with the lack of protein in their said protein items. My most recent experience that led me to post as it was the final straw of unacceptable serving quality is finding hair in my food. Do better RiceUp, I would like to not have to drive outside Weston to find a suitable Asian take-out restaurant as all the others in the areas have either closed or failed to meet our expectations.

Basic AF I'll be the first to admit it's a crap shoot ordering from a place with no menu descriptions. Guess I was hoping for some veggies in this. Rice and tofu - sigh. Came with a couple sauces, one napkin, a fork and a spoon - I prefer to eat with chopsticks! Thanks for the fortune cookie tho!!

Yesterday we ordered food from Rice up for dinner. Unfortunately I found an live insect in the rice. It happened so fast that I didn't have time to take a picture. I ended throwing away all the food. Long history short we just waste $53

I was with my 13 year old and his friend looking for a bite after a movie. I should have looked closer at the Yelp reviews! First, this restaurant is really just for takeout. Not that we needed a fancy place, but I think we wanted someplace that was ready to accommodate eat in diners. When we walked in to the small place we found two large round tables with white tablecloths but no set ups. When I asked if we could eat there I was told, yes, but in takeout containers. I then asked if I should order at the counter or at the table to which the woman replied, "Which ever you want". I just got the impression that the staff was ambivalent about having us there. The second big mistake I made was ordering sushi in a hole in the wall like this. The Spicy Tuna Roll had a lot of rice but was not too bad. However, I really could not eat the Hamachi Roll. The fish was all discolored. It just looked terrible. My son's friend ordered Steak Teriyaki and my son ordered Chicken Teriyaki. They were huge portions. However, the little plastic knives we were given could not cut through the meat. The sauces on the side was sickeningly sweet. Their dishes went mostly uneaten. The best item we all ate was the Salad that had cold and crispy lettuce with ginger dressing on the side. It would not have been an expensive meal had we eaten it, but we really did not eat much of what we ordered and I hate waste! Lesson learned. Consult Yelp thoroughly!

The rice was average, nothing to be proud of, but the other dishes, Egg rolls and the chicken, were awful.

It was fast but the egg rolls had no filling just dough. I was not worth the price compared to other Chinese food restaurants.

Take out asian food. Pretty good for a take out place. Prefer it over over Wok to go. Prices are fair and the food is good.

Inside, there are a lot of tables and in talking with my friends and the staff it can get crazy busy, especially on weekends. We went for dim sum; they give you a menu with pictures and names, and a piece of paper to mark on what items you would like. They bring them from the kitchen. One tip for you: it's easy to over order, so you can order a smaller number of things and see how it goes, and order more later. Anyway, they have very many seafood and veggie dishes, which suits me just fine. And the waitress was making sure to point out what dishes had meat in them as she brought them to the table. That was very considerate. The price point for each item is on the high side, but the quantity is good. But of course it adds up in a hurry (another reason to see my tip about over ordering!) All in all, a pleasant meal and I was full when I left.

Hands down the best restaurant for dim sum specifically in the Pembroke Pines area…read more China Pavilion is located in a pretty chill shopping center not too far from Pembroke Lakes mall. The restaurant feels very authentic to how Chinese restaurants are, the restaurant has a fish tank at the entrance which is very on brand and over all it's a pretty casual space. The food is really good and there are so many items on the menu, that I definitely recommend coming with a few people so you can try all the things you want without it being way too much food. There are a few waiters/waitresses and they all attentive. Even though one person takes the order, the other servers may bring your food, get you another drink, or clear things off of your table. This is also another restaurant I will definitely be back to and highly recommend, especially if you're looking for Dim Sum in Pines.

Riceup Asian Kitchen - General Tso's Tofu EXTRA CRISPY. This may not look great but it was delicious!

I was skeptical honestly because there aren't enough reviews and pics on Yelp for me to feel confident but I was short on time and didn't have time to be wavering on my decision. This place is super small and only meant for take-out. A soft spoken and super sweet young woman took my order. I asked for General Tso tofu EXTRA CRISPY, no rice and a side order of broccoli in brown sauce. If I'm honest, judging by the tiny lobby area and the lack of customers inside, plus the minimal reviews, I was second guessing myself for coming here. Plus, usually when I ask for extra crispy tofu from most establishments, they give me a whole long story about how they can't make it super crisp but they can cook it a little longer but it never comes out crispy and this young lady did the same, explaining that it may not be that crispy. Well this chef understood the assignment! It was CRISPY...more crispy than anyplace I've ever ordered it from! It was in its sauce and still managed to have a very very good amount of crunch on the outside while still having that nice chew on the inside. It was literally PERFECT so much so that I called them after taking my first bite and telling them how perfect it was. The broccoli was as fresh and firm and still crisp. The sauces on both were yummy. This place is super close to my daughter's soccer field so it may become a new fave for takeout. I sit here in my car typing up this review as I fork up extra crispy and flavorful (with a mild spicy kick) General Tso Tofu DONE RIGHT. I did ask for hot oil on the side but I didn't really need it as the combo of spice from the broccoli and the tofu was good enough. I'll be back RiceUp! DISCLOSURE: It is REALLY HARD to find crispy tofu so my review is based on the tofu mainly. 5 stars for that!

The prices are a little high but that's everything now. I paid $32 for this meal.

SPICY AND LOVED IT…read more.. Extremely busy parking lot surrounded by many restaurants and retail shops and on the weekends there is no shortage of customers in this plaza. Been to this Weston Pei Wei a few times in the past but not recently until today. Signed up on the Pei Wei Rewards Program by downloading the app which celebrates your interest by giving you a free entree from their delicious menu of authentic Chinese cuisine. It was an early dinner so it was very quiet inside. The dining room was super clean and organized with oversized red and blue balloons (unsure why) in each corner providing a festive ambiance. Met with the manager, Matthew, who was friendly and took my order of Spicy Korean BBQ Steak and brown rice as a substitution for dull white rice. Matthew actually was the sole employee at this time acting as the cashier, server, chef and manager supervising himself. We took a seat at a table near the open kitchen. Within a few minutes, echoes of oil sizzling in the wok and the hint of Asian spices flowing past my nostrils brought a smile to my face. The portion was large and smelled magnificent. Quickly engulfed most of my meal with chop sticks then ate the last few bites with a fork to ensure not even one morsel of rice was left behind. A placard was sitting on the front counter next to the register which noted that one order of Thai Donuts would be given free if a review, good or bad, of the eating experience was added to any social media review platform. Well, the cinnamon covered Thai Donuts arrived as dessert with a warm vanilla cream dipping sauce. Holy Moly, they were crazy good and surely a high caloric treat. Strangely, no garbage receptacles were found in the dining room, although a new employee clocked in for the dinner rush and removed the waste from our table. The gender assigned bathroom was spacious and clean with a speckled cement floor.
