The rice in the lo mein container was a small portion but the lo mein had good flavor. For sweet and sour chicken the Chicken breading was soggy. Thin runny sweet and sour sauce. If you wish upon a lucky star, you might find some decent Chinese take out. There are abundant amount of these type of places with their super cheap lunch specials, but only a few execute the dishes flawlessly. Of course with Chinese food it's always low quality, but for this particular take out joint I believe they are very consistent. I am often here for their lunch specials and their honey wings. Just like the name of the wings, this place is pretty sweet. Customer service is quick and diligent with acommodating the take out orders. read more

I ordered from this place for the first time on July 26, 2024. I ordered boneless spare ribs and a pork chow fun. The boneless spare ribs were ok, with a large portion being provided, but they were not very tender. The pork chow fun was absolute shit. The noodles were overcooked, soggy and clumped together as if they had been recently defrosted from a freezer and then drowned in hot oil for way too long. The pork was sliced into thin rectangles and was tough and rubbery - not the least bit tender. Again the pork tasted like it had been frozen. Nothing in my order tasted fresh. They charge top dollar for their shit food. Not good value for money. I will never order from this awful place again. read more

The rice is a little dry and needs a little seasoning. Wonton soup was super good and the white rice was very fluffy. The orange chicken was good too I love dipping the orange sauce instead of places putting too little or too much. Overall my experience was good. The last couple of times I've ordered from here, the food was late. This LAST time, my online order was late even though I waited 40 minutes before picking up. Not only that, they didn't even put noodles in my chow mein so it was just a watery sludge of vegetables and rubbery chicken. I love Chinese food and I'm always looking for new restaurants to try. While visiting family in Florida I had an urge for Chinese. My dad's usual place was empty, not a good sign. Too bad they were very good but changed hands and had since gone down hill. So I decided to try the take out place near my dad's place. Lucky Star had mixed reviews on Yelp but I decided to try them anyway. I'm glad I did. Their hot and sour soup was full of veggies and not too spicy. The crunchy noodles that came with the soup were not stale or soggy. I had ordered the Szechuan roast pork dinner it had plenty of meat and veggies the sauce was tasty and not very spicy. I'd consider it a large order and it came with a pint of very good pork fried rice and an egg roll along with the soup. A very good deal for $10. I even had enough left over for another meal. Oh my god!! The pan fried dumplings are a life changing experience. It makes me mad at all the others. Get 'Em. You'll Thank me. $4.50 / 7 I initially ordered on New Years Eve and although a little later than expected, it was sooo worth the wait. This place does not skimp on the quality and yet gives huge servings. The Family Special is an excellent intro for easy comparisons to your never-again standards. New establishment. Clean, food is very tasty and cooks are visible to the customer. The food prep areas looked very clean and tidy. Food is served on plastic ware and I could have used a soup spoon for the soup. I would say this would be a good take out restaurant or Chinese delivery.
