This is our go-to Chinese restaurant in town. Where most other restaurants give you just a couple of wontons in a bland broth, here you get a wonderfully flavorful wonton soup with bokchoy, scallions, and extra pork strips. Their hot and sour soup is lovely as well, lots of mushrooms. You can't beat the price for their combos, you get a main entree, rice, and a soup or egg roll for under $10. I usually get the pork spareribs but tonight I got the General Tso's chicken, and I appreciate that you can customize the heat; I had medium tonight and might bump to the next level next time. It's sometimes tough to make a decision on what to order because my usual picks are so good, but I do want to branch out a bit. Their customer service has been great, the delivery guys are always friendly and when they made a mistake last time in charging me the wrong amount, the restaurant called me immediately and fixed it before I even realized. We were in Ft. Lauderdale and didn't know anywhere so I looked to Yelp to find a place. Wanton Garden was closest so tried it. The lunch menu was pretty good-lots of variety. Entrees came with Wonton or Hot and Sour soup (both big bowls and wonton was fair but Hot and Sour was good). We also ordered the 2 Egg Rolls-So good! Crispy brown with meat and veggies (instead of like most with only underdone veggies you can't chew). They had our favorites-my husband ordered the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and I got Chicken Chop Suey. The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was fair and the fried rice that came with it was horrible. The Chicken Chop Suey with white rice was good but could have used more flavor though it was better the next day. All in all, I would roll the dice to try a different place next time. This is the BEST Chinese food take out in South Florida, period. My husband and I have been going there for at least 5 years and order once or twice a week. Went here today for lunch with my 2 year old son. Place is very clean. Small dining area. You order at the desk than seat yourself. No dining service and you clean up after yourself as you would if you were at a fast food chain. Lady behind the desk very kind and courteous. I ordered pan fried dumplings- crab Rangoon- pint of egg drop and won ton soup and pepper fried steak spicy. The crab Rangoon was really yummy, stuffed full and golden perfection. The pan fried dumplings fried to perfection but needed more season taste. Looked visually excellent but I have had better however I believe they are headed in the right direction. The wonton soup the broth very good but the dumplings again, the meat needed more taste and the dough was a little doughy. The egg drop was very very good. Not to much egg and whisked well( I dislike large clumps of egg) the broth was thick but not to much tasted excellent. The pepper steak I requested spicy but it was forgotten and than brought a side if hot oil. The steak was nicely cut and onions cut well, the peppers were cut to large. Extreme garlic and the visual was not as appealing as the apps. The fried rice was not very good. It had no flavor and was dry. The entree was just ok. The prices are extremely reasonable. Lunch $4.25 pint of soup under $2.00 apps I think about $5 my total bill was $18.00. I would have gave another star if the main meal would have been tastier and my spice not forgotten. With that being said I will be back and try a different entree. Enough food left over for another meal. People are very friendly, dining area perfect for kids and clean, food is good. We stopped by Wonton for lunch while working in the neighborhood and based solely on their reviews we decided to give them a try. The exterior is quite simple, nothing fancy or elaborate here. This can be a bit of a turn off, but don't let the outside fool you. We walked in and stood at the desk to take a quick gander at the lunch menu. Hubby quickly decides on the chicken wings with pork fried rice and egg roll and I picked their deluxe vegetables with white rice and spring roll. We sat down and was given their complimentary fried noodles with sweet sauce to munch on, which was very tasty. Our food came out very quickly, a great thing for people on the go with a 'literal' one hour lunch. What's great about Wonton is that their food is served hot and it's not salty! Like most Chinese it's basically expecting the same each time, blan and salty food. This is not salty. The deluxe vegetables were crispy and fresh and the portion was perfect for their price of $6.95. I ordered two small entrees, Pt of General Tso's Chicken, Pt of Mongolian Beef, both with pork fried rice, 2 egg rolls, and 4 spring rolls (2 orders, plus a bunch of sauces). The chicken was crispy, saucy, (little spicy) all white meat, plentiful, and the pork fried rice with it was bountiful in meat and flavor as well. GS chicken is sometimes a gamble, this was perfect. Quality for value 10/10. To make this shorter, the Mongolian Beef w/ Rice, Spring Rolls, and Egg Rolls were all excellent as expected. There were A LOT of scallions in the beef and the meat was perfect. Rest of order 10/10. I recommend picking up the food to ensure it is as fresh as possible, but I got delivery and it was perfect (I live very close by).
