Jane & Sarah are the sweetest! I was recommended Woo Beauty Studio by a friend when I was looking to get a lash lift for the first time. The booking process is seamless via their website, and paying in advance was quite nice. Jane is super communicative and responsive via text. Sarah was so kind & professional throughout my appointment. I usually don't like having things near my eyes, but this lash lift experience was super relaxing. I almost fell asleep! Jane is the owner, and she is a nice lady. I saw her brow work on Instagram, and made an appointment with her for ombre brows. Once I got there, I was passed to Celine. Choosing a brow artist is like choosing a surgeon; you don't want them swapped without notice. After session 1, the brow shape looked good but there was little color left. In session 2, Celine used a much darker shade and did not follow the brow shape from session 1, to the point where I have 2 visible brow tails (plus more issues listed below)! To Jane's credit, she tried to make things right by offering to personally take a look, but I'm afraid my brows will get even darker with another touch-up. Other important things to know: * The room is NOT PRIVATE. There are 2 beds, and it was pretty weird to have someone next to me also getting a procedure done (facial 1st time, tattoo eyeliner the 2nd). At least use a curtain divider, or give clients a heads up. * There is a language and communication barrier. It was difficult to convey shape, color, etc. This was my 1st time getting semi-permanent makeup, and there was no explanation of what was happening. THE PROCESS: Celine marked an "ideal brow shape" with a pencil, handed me a mirror, and asked yes/no. Numbing cream is left on for 20 minutes. After wiping the cream, she starts stabbing in pigment with a manual tool. On a pain scale, it was 2/10. She scrapes more color, and does a few rounds. After each session, I look like an angry bird for 5 days. Around day 4, the brows start peeling. As someone with tattoos, I prefer using Aquaphor (ointment) during peeling. After peeling, the color appears faint but will darken again over the next few days. TOUCH-UP: After 1 month, my brows kept peeling and barely had color. At the touch-up, Celine used a much darker shade. This time, she just shaved the entire tails of my brows without asking (photos #2 and #3)! I was horrified. At the end, my brows were different thickness and lengths. She did spend time fixing some of the unevenness, but my brows just got darker and darker. The room is small and she sat at an angle, which could partially be the reason my brows came out uneven. PAYMENT: This part was very tacky. She handed me an iPad highlighting a 20% tip, which is $100 for ombre brows. I was happy with the 1st session so I tipped $101 in cash; still, she let me walk out with mapping lines and brown pigment on my face. At the touch-up, as I pulled out my wallet to tip, despite a worse experience, she said everything was paid in session 1. As I put my wallet away, she then said, "you did only tip $70." Excuse her, I tipped $101. That's what I told her before leaving, and that conversation ended uncomfortably. Maybe it was the language barrier, and maybe she took out her misplaced memory on my brows. BROW ISSUES 1. The brow tails are higher than my natural brow (photo #1), which means tweezing that area for the next 1-2 years. I ended up with sparse brow hair from over-tweezing in the first place! 2. Since she didn't follow the shape from session 1, there are actually 2 visible brow tails (photo #2)! 3. The brows are uneven in thickness and length. The right tail is thinner and longer than the left (photo #3). 4. Some spots healed so dark that I can visibly see 3 stab dots (photo #4), which I worry are now permanent. 5. The shape is flatter in session 2 (main photo). This again deflected from my natural brow shape. 6. The shading is NOT ombre after session 2; it is 1 flat tone (main photo). 7. The shade she picked for session 2 is now fading grayish. It looks unnatural, like a tattoo fade (might be able to see in main photo). SUMMARY: I waited 3+ months to give a fair assessment. My brows look worse. Woo Beauty Studio might be good for someone who has no idea what to do with their brows, and doesn't care about privacy. For me, this was a semi-permanent procedure on my face, and I had hoped they would spend more time explaining the process and asking what I expected. Honestly, I hate the results and the color is still really dark, and there are MORE issues not even listed. Only recently, I traveled overseas to a relative who does microblading to even out the thickness, but not much can be done for the other damage without making the brows thicker. But I wanted to come here because I saw the photos and I reached out and they are so hesitant to even work on my eyes they don't tell me the ingredients, and they said "they don't have time to test me". The lash place I went to before (which is now closed) did that and I had no issues. The customer service here is terrible, don't bother coming here, literally a waste of my time. Clearly we sign waivers in the beginning, it is up to the customer if they want to take that risk. But to not even patch test because "they don't have time" is so frustrating. SCAM ALERT! Horrible Experience with Groupon package. Literally had to walk off the table half way through my procedure. ---------- I purchased a Groupon package for a 2 hr facial and microneedling session which promised ALL the bells and whistles. You can see the offer attached. Plus i have made a line next to all the steps she skipped. WHAT I ACTUALLY GOT. 1. Face wash with cleanser and exfoliant. 2. Steam for 10 seconds while washing face 3.hot towel to remove soap 4. numbing cream 5. I had to ask the esthetician why she was numbing my face and explained my package included a facial before the microneedling session 6. She first said this wasn't so . I told her I could show her on my phone. She then said impossible because they cant do microneedling with facial. (LIES) I kept insisting I was ready to show her on my phone but she kept saying no. Then she called a other woman on the phone who confirmed what I said. 7. She grumpily took off the numbing cream. 8. Extractions for about 5-8 minutes 9. Put numbing cream back on. 10. Left room. When she came back told her I wanted to show her the package I purchased because I was not being given the services promised. She tried to pretend that some of the treatments couldn't be done with extractions (SAME WAY SHE tried to lied about how you can't do a facial and microneedling ) and when I caught her in the lie, she said the procedure is only 2 hrs and she doesn't actually have time to do all the stuff they listed on the GROUPON WOooooooooooooWwwwwww . Did she just admit to the fact they are selling something they actually can't provide . Hmmm sounds like a scam . Anyways this is around when I walked out. She seemed extremely grumpy and bothered and I just didn't feel like letting her work on me anymore. I did get a REFUND. Big fan of this spa! Didn't know what to expect as it was my first time microneedling. The procedure took ~2hr last night, extremely relaxing and pretty pain free. Jane is the nicest, happiest person and makes you feel so comfortable. She started with a deep cleansing facial, added extractions to clear pores and then prepped my face for 30 mins with numbing cream. The microneedling processes took about 10-15 mins. I was very red, still numb and a little sensitive afterwards so I was glad I did it at night so I could go straight home. 12 hours later (next morning), I'm still a bit red but not as bad, little bit of bruising around the eyes (to be expected) but hopefully by tomorrow I'll see great results! I drank a lot of water and also took my collegian peptide powder last night and this morning to help with my results! Jane is an absolute legend when it comes to skincare. I originally came here after purchasing a groupon for microneedling, and now she is the only person I trust to handle my face. I used to get really bad hormonal breakouts, but after cutting certain foods from my diet and seeing Jane every 8 weeks for microneedling and facials, my skin looks better than it did when I was in high school ten years ago. I never thought I would hear compliments from friends and coworkers about how my face is glowing, and for someone who used to agonize about their skin, it feels amazing to be noticed for how good it looks now! When I tried lash lifting and my lashes wouldn't hold the curl after the first treatment, she offered me a follow-up treatment FOR FREE and I saw much better results after she left the serum on for longer. She is really meticulous with her work and wants her clients to be satisfied. I feel genuinely bad for those people who had such negative experiences that they feel the need to drag her through the mud, but I think those reviews say more about the person leaving them than they do about Jane or her business practices. It's a small studio and she can only see 1-2 people at a time, so obviously if you don't make your appointment time it affects not only her but her other clients. I got a lash lift from Jane and it was a great experience! So relaxing and Jane is good at what she does. Not painful at all and be sure to follow aftercare instructions so they can last. My lashes look so amazing and even though I don't have thick lashes Jane made it look like I have way more lashes than I thought! Music is so relaxing too! I have also gotten my brows micro bladed with Jane a few years ago and I loved my experience. The process is very relaxing(I fell asleep lol) and it's not too painful as people describe micro blading to be, Jane is very gentle. I've had lip blush tattoo and a facial done here and highly highly would recommend both procedures. The environment is pristinely clean and spa-like. Originally I first went for the lip blush and I loved the results- I'm in my mid 30's but my lips have starting losing natural color over the years and I hated having to religiously apply color on my lips to avoid looking washed out and sickly.. my lips were pale in the center and Greyish around the lipline. Now they are uniformly blushy in a natural color that mimicks the color I had in my youth. I wake up looking fresh- not tired! And all I ever need now is chapstick. Recently I went in to try a facial here and I was SHOCKED by how such a short facial could give me such drastic results after one time! It was so relaxing, but at the same time very high-tech and medical grade, giving me results better than any facial I've had in years- better than results I've gotten at Rescue spa! Horrible customer service. I signed up for one of her model spots for microblading, told it would be 2 sessions, $50 each. The first session, en route the LIRR broke down, I texted and called her immediately to let her know I'd be late, and if i could still keep my appointment even though late. Gave her a time estimate, she said it was fine, so I proceeded to hop on the MTA. Then en route she says that i will arrive too late, and will have to reschedule. I'm on the subway at this point. I live on Long Island, as I told her, and the only reason I was going to the city was for her session. Eventually we agree to keep the appointment, but she says it will be "shortened" - gives no further details. When I get there, I have to push to ask what she means by shortened and she finally admits that I will not get numbing cream. I accept this because I have wanted microblading for a while now and have a limited budget. She does it. It hurt. But I was happy with the initial result. As most know, you NEED the touch up session to really make the microblading worth it. She told me at the end of my first session she would schedule the 2nd. She texted me to do so and asked for a venmo to hold the appointment. I work 24hr shifts so I couldn't respond right away. Then the next text I get from her is just "your appointment is cancelled. thanks" excuse me? Long story short, she said there were no more appointments for models, and that I would have to book a full price service if I wanted my touch up. To me this shows no pride in her work. No customer service. I don't really care if I booked a discounted service. If you can't treat me the way you treat full-price paying customers, that's poor form. I think there was also an obvious language barrier, so I hate to be harsh, but the whole thing was such an awful experience. Also, it's sketchy as hell that she features all these 5 star ratings on her instagram, yet here on her yelp, there are only a couple reviews. Go if you pay full price. But don't fall for her "model" scams. I'm sure other people had fine experiences, but I'm pretty upset that I won't be getting my touch up, which was assured to me. Definitely not coming back. I went in as a microblading model, Jane charged me $60 per session plus gratuity. 20% of $60 is $12, I was going to tip $20. The student finishes the first session and I give her $20, Jane tells me that tip is based on 15% of the full price of $600 which is $90. She basically made me feel embarrassed and put me on the spot to tip her $70 or $90. I tipped her $90 because I was afraid they were going to mess up my eyebrows for the upcoming second session. I missed my second appt and she charged me $50 as a rescheduling fee, I think this was a rip-off but what can I do now? I pay her the $50,already have a deposit of $60 and on top of that tipped her $50 at the very end. If you go to their Instagram they post the pictures of newly microbladed/ombré brows, I was never put there and I wonder why. I look in the mirror today and see the HUGE MISTAKE I made in being a cheap skate. DO NOT DO THE MODEL SCAM! My eyebrows look NOTHING like the people on her ig. It's not worth it. Just save your money and pay full price but GO SOMEWHERE ELSE NOT HERE! She forces you to tip extra even though it was never worth it. Basically I shelled out $300 for a "$60 microblade model" job. Don't do it, she's a thief. I just feel bad because the girl who was training was really sweet and I don't blame her. I blame Jane and her devious ways. I'm so mad, wish I never spent a dime here. Now I have to save up and pay full price elsewhere probably paying more than others on microbladed brows because of this. I want to sue, that's how mad I am. Thieves. read more

I went to Jane for my first microblading experience back when she was at her old location. I was so happy with my results that I decided to pay her a visit at her new location for a facial. I got microneedling- and yes, it's slightly painful but Jane does a wonderful job at trying to make the experience as comfortable as possible. You'll get a numbing cream to minimize the pain and it's a pretty quick process. I trust her for my skin care needs because she's very super thorough and gentle. I purchased a micro-needling package off of Groupon which turned out to be the worst mistake ever! She refused to do micro-needling and instead did a regular facial which at then end charged me $55 more. Then she had the audacity to pressure me to pay her more tip and then started begging for more tip. I mean who pressure and begs for tip after failing to provide the purchased services? Who begs for tip at all? I found it to be tasteless and classless.There are way too many spa studios in the city to limit yourself to this one. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
