The front desk person is extremely rude and unprofessional. This woman needs to know how she displays her attitude to others. Instead of making her vocal tone "annoyed" she needs to help resolve issues and allow others to finish their sentences. She displays an annoyed face when trying to explain information to her. Dr Huffer is professional, kind and patient. The dental assistants were knowledgeable and explained everything well. It's too bad when you have one bad apple ruin your practice. read more

Dr. Woo is a fabulous doctor! He performed an extremely difficult root canal on my tooth a few days ago. It wasn't fun sitting in a dental chair with my mouth open for nearly 3 hours! But Dr. Woo was very professional and explained the steps to me. He also offered me breaks during the procedure and stayed until 6pm to complete my root canal. Dr. Woo is one of the "old-time dentists," even though he is young, who truly cares about his patients. I called him twice right after Christmas when my tooth began to throb. Dr. Michael Huffer worked on my root canal and he did an exceptional job. Prior to digging in, he told me about what it was he was going to do and if I had any questions...putting me at ease. I didn't feel the three injections that numbed the area and I was surprisingly comfortable throughout the hour procedure. After the numbness wore off I had no pain or swelling. Upon recommendation of my regular dentist I came here for a root canal. I have been in the past under the "care" of military dentists and it's been years of nightmarish experiences. I can't describe how great Dr. Woo and his staff were. They made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Woo was phenomenal. The shots were no big deal. I was numb the first time and he went to work like a pro. Asked several times how I was doing and at the end it didn't feel like 60 people had been working in my mouth. He called me later that evening to check up on me which showed how much he truly cared. The office is new, pristine even. Staff was super friendly and everyone seemed to care which again I can't say enough about. I actually dozed off during the procedure, that's how comfortable I was. Nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Woo and his staff. Getting a root canal is nothing enjoyable, but Dr. Woo was so thorough during my root canal repair the actual procedure I fell asleep! All his staff was so nice and made the process very easy. He also checked up after my procedure that evening to make sure my tooth was feeling ok. I can't say enough about Dr. Woo and his entire staff. From the day you make the appointment until your procedure is complete everyone is so kind that you feel totally at ease. Dr. Woo is phenomenal. He is so talented and skilled at his profession. There is no pain including the shots. Ex rays are taken all through the process so ensure everything is going as planned. Nikita is by Dr. Woo's side the entire time and is ready with whatever he needs so everything goes as smoothly and as quick as possible. She is so sweet and a real professional. The hardest part of the whole experience was trying to laugh with the dental dam in your mouth and considering we are talking about root canals here that's really saying something. AWESOME is Dr. Nelson Woo, DMD, Endodontist in Holly Springs/Canton. He fit my emergency treatment in Monday afternoon. He's the gentleman who proved root canal should no longer be a scary nightmare He uses/does microscopic root canal therapy. He has nitrous (I think I used a tank or two due to anxiety/nerves) and headphones/tv - and a needed stress ball (so I didn't break the chair arm before anything was even done) AND all with a wonderful staff/assistants. The "profound anesthesia" that was used years back is no longer even an issue as there should be NO Profound pain, only minimal discomfort. His technique and ability is superb. About 15 years ago I had taken depositions in a dental malpractice case that involved root canals and it left me with too much information on the process, and that unfortunately left me with too much anxiety of what could go wrong. Combine that with childhood teeth breaking trauma and you have a stressed out wreck. Thank God, medicine and technology has progressed and ended up in the hands of Dr. Woo. From his superior xrays where he clearly explains the process, to his outstanding calm and understanding demeanor, I went from "off the charts" to might even be able to sleep when I go back for next appointment. (I have now been back for the final "fill" on my root canal - had to wait for the infection to clear up - - And still an amazing experience) I'm known as sometimes a bit outspoken and direct; sometimes too much. Let me clearly say that this should should not only be on the top of your list for Endodontist, but is the ONLY one on my list. One final note, please remember that many problems caused by "others" may not be easily remedied by the professional who follows. No matter how good someone may be professionally, there are always unknowns or anomalies. Things do happen, at times for no known reason and all we can do is say a prayer and see the most competent professionals available. As others in these reviews, I was absolutely terrified to get my first root canal. I was told by a dentist several years ago that one of my fillings was so large and deep, that the next time I had any work done on it, it would be a root canal, and I worried about it for years. The tooth finally got infected and I had to get it seen about. Dr. Woo and his team were exceptional at calming me down and ensuring me that everything would go smoothly. He did find that the tooth was crack in half and unable to support a crown, so charged me only for an "exploratory" procedure. But the root canal itself was completely painless to include the initial shots of Novocain. There was a TV on the ceiling so I just sat there and watched Netflix until Dr. Woo told me we were finished. I could hear drills and feel the vibrations, etc. but that was about it. I would highly recommend Dr. Woo and his team if you are in need of this type of procedure. read more

True - I was to the point of tears during our phone conversation upset about a root canal (I incorrectly thought he performed on the wrong tooth) and HIS ONLY concern was getting an apology because he 'has been doing this for 16 years'. UPDATE: I've since been contacted and asked to remove this review but he was rude and he did bring me (his patient at the time) to the point of tears. I was incorrect about him doing the procedure on the wrong tooth. What I would expect is a doctor to say, well come in and let's take a look at it and we will get it figured out. I was wrong and he was right. It is how he handled this situation that would prevent me from recommending him to anyone. Also, the dentist who sent me to Woo, he was very friendly and even met me on his day off to explain things to me.
