Dr. Paul is simply wonderful. I am very dental phobic, yet, I trust him implicitly. He is as gentle as one can be and has never, ever, caused me pain. Keenly skilled, he has the patience of Job, and is truly gifted in his engagement with his clients-he takes the time to know you, to know your family, your general health and well-being. This is a provider who genuinely cares, and it is felt in all your interactions with him. They did some miracles on my teeth today, after 5 days of intense throbbing and grinding pain from one molar I had that got infected. It was one of the few times I was excited to go see Dr. Singh as I knew that he and his staff would take good care of me, and I would have traded my arm and leg to get rid of the pain I went through on my own punching walls in my house to relocate it, even if it was just for a few seconds. Their staff if very professional and friendly, and their office is very large, with plenty of parking space and Hcap access, and you will even have a choice of media entertainment as they work on your teeth. I have no complaints at all for the cost as the Doctor and his team do such excellent work. Never short change yourself, especially when it comes to your teeth and body. Come see the good doctor here, you will be in good hands and you will be satisfied once you see and feel the results of the work they can do.

Multiple BILLING ISSUES: I've been a patient at Atlanta West Dentistry for over five years…read more Initially, I was very pleased with their services the staff seemed professional, the reviews were great, and the dental work met my expectations. However, over time, I've encountered multiple ongoing billing issues that have ultimately led to my decision to leave this practice. One of the main issues involved overcharges of hundreds of dollars, primarily by front desk staff (specifically Hailey). These discrepancies were only corrected after I contested the charges using my Explanation of Benefits (EOB). While I appreciated that some credits were eventually applied to my account, these errors continued to occur raising serious concerns about accuracy and transparency. Even after addressing previous issues, the same pattern repeated. I strongly recommend that anyone receiving treatment here carefully review their EOBs and compare them to what they are being charged out-of-pocket. On one occasion, I was told I had fillings done on both tooth #2 and #5, yet I clearly remember work being done only on tooth #2. Despite voicing this, I was still billed for both. When I requested clarification, Robin attempted to explain the charges, but they still did not align with what was billed to my insurance provider. This experience has not only been frustrating but has also led me to question the integrity of some of the billing and treatment practices. It's deeply disappointing after years of being a loyal patient. As a result, I will no longer be returning to Atlanta West Dentistry, and I will be transferring the care of my entire family elsewhere. I'm also advising anyone I previously referred to this practice to check their billing statements closely or consider other options. I hope this review serves as a helpful warning for others to be vigilant and protect themselves from potential overcharges or miscommunication. Look at the details of what was billed to my insurance and then to me out of pocket. I am really considering taking them to small claims court and reporting them to the Board

After I entered the Marietta Dental and Implant Center, it was at that point that I decided to go…read moreto Yelp to look at the reviews. I am not sure why I didn't look here first, but I suppose it was due to what was considered in-network with my insurance coverage that made the decision for me and it was not to far from where I live. I was impressed that the office entry was very cozy and comfortable. The decor was simple, yet elegantly placed and it had a sophisticated design. There was a coffee and tea station available and the receptionist seemed very welcoming and friendly. While I waited to be seen, I decided to look at the reviews. Nothing too startling about the negative feedback generated any concern because I always look at who is providing those reviews. A few things I use to make my consideration for which business I select are (1) Is the review completed by a YELP elite? This matters to me because there is a reason we earn that distinction and it matters to me when I see that they have taken the time to make a careful review of the business. (2) How many friends the person has on Yelp? I know that if there are zero friends and no photos then it is highly possible the review could be fake or generated from a competing business who desires to tarnish the reputation of the competitor's business. (3) What the does the actual review SAY about the business that matters most of all? This is important to me because I need to know what the business did or did not do that they should be doing under the guidelines of what they are in business for. Back to the review... Once I was called back to the space where I would have my cleaning procedure completed, the young lady told me that she would take my ex-rays and then the dentist would review them to recommend what I needed and if I agreed they would proceed with the cleaning. She was not a touchy feely personality for her approach is very matter-of-fact and assertive. I was not sure how this would pan out if she was the person to clean my teeth. Her comment about the dentist's recommendation was a little off-putting to me and it raised a red flag in my mind because I did read someone's review that they believed they were overcharged or felt that they were being duped into coming out of pocket unnecessarily for something they believed was intentional to generate more revenue in addition to the insurance claim. In the past, I have always had my cleaning first then the dentist would come in and check the work. I have to mention that I am ashamed to admit that it had been a long while since I have had my teeth professionally cleaned, but I have always had great teeth with never any cavities so I was not too worried, but my suspicion was charged and by the time the dentist came in to meet with me I was already on high alert. Dr. Johnson seemed nice enough. He explained to me my potential condition with a great detailed analogy, so I felt a little better and more trusting of what he told me. I felt a little ridiculous because I had garnered a cold attitude towards him due to those negative reviews in the back of my mind, but I remained cautiously optimistic. I soon discovered that a very kind person whose name that I cannot remember, but it started with an "L" I think would be the person who cleaned my teeth. This was a welcomed surprise because her energy is positive, upbeat, and she is more personable than the initial ex-ray lady. The dental hygienist knows how to engage people and is more interested in getting to know people which makes a patient feel better and welcome. The spaces where you are sitting in the chair has no closed door spaces. It is open and they seem to have the latest technology available as well. My dental hygienist had a lot of work to do, but she did it well and she also explained and talked about what she was experiencing inside my mouth. I appreciated her willingness to share her yard work and the community competition with me which made me take my mind off of the procedure and minimize the anxiety. Afterwards, I was given my little goodie bag and was on my way. I will be back in six months under this time will give me more of a rounded perspective of this practice. For now, I will give them 4.5 stars, but if anything changes that made it either outstanding or miserable, I will let you know.

Long HAPPY customer review. Skip to the end for the TL;DR…read more I unknowingly had a filling come out and another cavity developing after a regular cleaning. I was told I'd need the cavity drilled out and a crown put on as the tooth would be too far gone to repair. This particular dentist was out of network, so I'd need to go in-network for the work. I went to a local big box dental office where I was treated like both a number and a dollar sign. They confirmed that I'd need a crown in addition to several other upcharges. I didn't like anything about that office or dentist, so was determined to find a small independent dentist. I went to my dental insurance website and looked for any independent dentist within 25 miles of my home. It seems the only dentists in-network are big corporate offices with multiple dentists and bad reviews. I finally stumbled upon Dr. Mantique Johnson. The reviews were confusing because multiple dentists were mentioned at this address. The newer reviews were great, but some of the older ones were not so good. When I went to their website, there was only one dentist listed. I called to see if he was indeed the only dentist there and it was confirmed, so I decided to give him a try. I called to schedule an appointment assuming it would be several weeks out, but they said they could see me that very same day. I was greeted by the friendly receptionist and almost immediately called back. X-rays were taken and Dr. Johnson came right in. He asked me why I was there, I told him that I was told by 2 dentists that I needed a crown, he took a look, and immediately said he could drill out the cavity and fill the tooth without needing a crown. WHAT?! I didn't think this was even a possibility! He asked if I wanted to proceed, I confirmed, and then I was given the out-of-pocket amount after insurance. I approved and he immediately got to work. I was given numbing gel and even asked what I'd like to watch on TV. He came back a few minutes later, gave me my numbing injections (I barely felt them), and started drilling. He drilled out the cavity, filled it with porcelain, and worked on it until my bite was perfect. I was in and out in no time and was never once nervous or uncomfortable. Dr. Johnson has such a calm demeanor and was always letting me know what was happening and allowed for breaks if so desired. When it was time to pay the bill, it was only a tiny portion of what I was expecting. I truly couldn't be happier. Now that I was so happy Dr. Johnson and his office, I decided I wanted to become a permanent customer. I went in and was greeted by hygienist Lene. She was so friendly, informative, warm, and funny. She took all the necessary x-rays as well as my gum measurements. I told Lene that my previous cleaning was only 3 months ago, she said I didn't need one yet, but would be happy to do a cleaning. We decided to wait 2 more months just to be safe. You have to love the honesty of everyone at this office. As Lene said, she treats everyone as she likes to be treated and held true to that. One sidenote; the reviews online are for the physical Marietta Dental Center building regardless of who used to work there. Keep this in mind as Dr. Johnson has only been there since December 2022. Any reviews prior to that are not for him or his staff. Pay attention to the dates of the reviews. I've never been happier with a dentist and dental office than this one. TL; DR: Dr. Johnson is the best dentist I've ever encountered in all my years. He's passionate about what he's doing and isn't looking to upsell you. He and his entire staff are top notch. Make the switch; you won't be disappointed!

When it came down to correcting this mistake Karen Mills attempted to but was literally unable to perform routine Root Canal. She had me come back and forth to her office for over 3 months! I missed so much work(3 months) because I was in so much pain and had to keep taking off. Then after 3 months Karen Mills finally decides to refer me to someone who actually knew how to perform a Root Canal. I didn't even know that was an option or I would have ask her to do that after a few weeks. Why did I have to go through all that pain for all those months for Karen Mills to experiment on me knowing she didn't have the skills to do a routine /basic root canal. I finally got the problem taken care of in a matter of minutes by an endodontist. After speaking with him I found out that a lot of dentists(including Karen Mills) don't use a Dental Dam(mouthpiece in mouth) when performing root canals and is suppose to prevent materials from going in area where tooth is. Karen Mills didn't use a Dental Dam and that's what caused me all that chaos. After I found this out I had no choice but to report her to the Georgia Board Of Denistry. They found Karen Mills negligent and she was forced to go through more training and fined $1000.00. Nothing for the victim. Hmm To add salt to the wound, when I requested Karen Mills reimburse me for all the work I missed(let alone all the pain I suffered)due to her negligence, she basically told me "NO." From the first visit, the focus felt heavily on financing--she was encouraged to apply with multiple lenders, and surgery was scheduled within days. The office contacted her repeatedly during the weekend, including in the evening hours, and asked her to set up online banking access so they could see what she could put down. Once I became involved, the finance person and dentist stopped answering calls and did not respond to voicemails. She chose not to proceed and attempted to confirm she would not be charged; after that, communication stopped. She then received a $12,000 CareCredit charge, and the doctor was paid despite no surgery being performed by Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry of Atlanta. We are in an ongoing dispute with CareCredit/Synchrony, which has treated the charge as valid based on signed intake/treatment plan/financing documents, without confirming that the procedure actually took place through clinical documentation (for example: procedure notes, anesthesia record, extraction/implant charting, implant serial/lot numbers, radiographs taken day-of, dated post-op instructions, or other records tied to an actual date of service). We have filed a criminal complaint with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. Please use caution, ask detailed questions before authorizing any financing, and consider getting multiple opinions/quotes.

(Warning‼ to Potential Clients! 1-Star Review…read more I am sharing my experience at Aesthetic Implant Dentistry of Atlanta to warn potential clients--especially those on a budget or relying on financing--to research carefully before choosing this office. I originally applied for a loan through their office for a procedure I specifically requested. After the loan was approved, I was later informed by Dr. Motoban that the procedure would no longer be possible. In spite of that, the finance company had already paid the office, and I was now obligated to repay the loan for a procedure I was no longer getting. When I requested that the loan be canceled in August, the office stopped responding. For nearly three months, they gave me the runaround and avoided assisting me in any way to rectify the situation. During this period, I was forced to pay on a loan I could not use, while the office refused to cooperate with the finance company to cancel it. My calls were screened, and messages were ignored by the office. I live an hour away, so the only way to get any type of response was to show up in person unannounced. I went into this process very insecure about my smile. They took advantage of that and knew it would fuel me to follow whatever they suggested in order to get approved for a higher loan limit. Once that higher loan was denied, they ceased all communication with me entirely. It wasn't until I began pursuing professional outside options that the office suddenly claimed everything had been an "oversight." What they refused to resolve for nearly four months, they completed in ten minutes once outside pressure was applied. When I finally went to the office in tears, the office manager's "NEW‼ assistant (Mrs. Morah) who had just started and was not involved in the earlier communication--showed genuine kindness and empathy toward me. I shared with her how this experience had terribly affected my credit. Sadly, Dr. Motoban refused to honor my cancellation request and even instructed her not to give me a receipt after I mentioned the possibility of legal action. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage potential clients to read reviews carefully, ask questions, and be cautious--especially if you are working with limited finances or relying on payment plans. Patients deserve transparency, honesty, and respectful treatment from start to finish.

Unfortunately, the durability of the work and the follow-up care have not met that standard: The first crown fractured under normal, everyday use and broke off my tooth Next an adjacent crown detached completely while routine-flossing. When I called the practice to address two failures the doctor took no accountability for potential issues with bonding, fit, or prep retention. Instead of offering a repair under warranty or a reasonable adjustment, I was told I would have to pay full price out-of-pocket once again to remake the restorations.
