I have rental properties and have had THE worst experiences with contractors in general. But I needed a property rewired and the panel box outside upgraded. My lights were flickering again so I called Joey last night. I told him that my UPS units were beeping and lights were flickering but that the bus panel was not buzzing or sparking anymore. He said that it is very likely something to do with the powerline and that Edison should probably look at it. I called Edison and they eventually came to check out the problem. Sure enough the neutral line to the house was snapped in two because of a tree branch that fell. I am so glad that I called Joey and that he knew how to get it fixed. Had a minor problem with my circuit breaker.Called Wood electric Joey came by the next day went to the back showed him the breaker box it all looked good ,all switches on on position he went thru the switches and it was one that was showing on but it needed to be pushed in harder Took about 30 seconds to figure it out .I was ready to pay his 60 dollar fee for coming out he said no.I even offered him at least a 20 for lunch he graciously declined.Next problem I have I know who I will be calling. read more

I called this company based on the reviews at 0730 because the power went out in my garage. They said they would come between 1-2P. At 3P I texted asking for an update. They read the text but did not reply. After texting again they finally replied and said they had truck problems and would send someone else. That was around 4P. Never heard from them again. I've lost all of the food I had in the refrigerator! What kind of way is that to do business? I would NOT recommend this company if you call for same day service! Update: 5 minutes after posting my first review which was one star I received a text from the owner Joey. He apologized and was very concerned about the service I received from his company. He asked for an opportunity to make up for it. I believe in second chances and gave him one. I am so glad I did! He came over the next day but it turned out to be more of a problem to fix than I expected. He spent a lot of time researching the problem. I decided to just have everything replaced. Wood Electric does excellent work, Joey is very knowledgeable and a stand up guy. His guys who do the work are professional and respectful; I would highly recommend them and use them for any electrical work. His price is fair for the quality of work, materials, and number of day/s to complete project. The only caveat, which I feel is fair to communicate is Joey is very busy with commercial projects and uses the residential work to facilitate his connection with the community. He first came to our house for a panel upgrade and my husband went with someone else because he thought he would help out some kids who were just starting out. My husband ended up having to call Joey back because the kids were horrible and inexperienced. Joey was kind enough to help us out and finish the job, the right and safe way, but when my husband tried to call him back to do recessed lighting, he would not answer his phone or respond to texts. I called from my phone and he answered the first time. They did our recessed lighting, it looks BEAUTIFUL, I AM VERY HAPPY. I texted to say thank you and I tried calling to get a paid receipt, and no response or answer. Moral of this story is if you decide your interested in Wood Electric doing work for you, it's an excellent choice, the work is worth the price and the guys are super cool. Wood Electric did my whole kitchens electrical update when I renovated my kitchen from scratch. I called him in urgency because my handyman was having trouble with the wiring for our new 220 electrical stove and oven. So the new kitchen renovation project was on hold. Wood Electric came on same day of call, after they got done with another customer for the day, for a quick look of the issues. They assest the electrical it turns out that the wiring done by my handymans electrician for the whole kitchens was wrong. Wood Electric took it all down and re-did the whole thing again. I feel safe because of it. In addition less material was used by Wood Electric. I noticed it when compared to previous electricians work. He finished the whole job in under two days and I have not had any electircal issues at all from his work. There has been a second event where I called Wood Electric for help on my sub panel to add additional breakers for washer and dryer and he showed up the following day as scheduled and he took care of it. He was able to set us up with guys to do our drywall, air conditioning, painting, kitchen cabinets, etc. He was so well connected and hard working we ended up putting him in charge of our entire remodel.
