They wanted to charge me almost $1000. The dentist offered to fill some of my cavities right then and there- which now that I think about it was a tricky way to get me to commit to spending money and not have a chance to think about it. I got a second opinion and found out that I did have two cavities. I also had a problem with them overcharging me $150, which luckily my insurance caught. I always loved going to the dentist until I went to Richmond Family Dentist. As one person I talked to said, only go here if you have amazing dental insurance and don't mind the up sale. Richmond Family Dentistry is not a local dentist- the dentists that work there are the same ones that work at Aspen Dental over by Starbucks.

The receptionist had a hurried discussion with a higher up who advised "another 20 minutes OR SO" then started the lame short staffing excuse. So why do you make appointments then? She had no answer. I walked out. Did a little research and found another dentist I'll be seeing in 2 weeks. I chose Aspen because it was a bigger practice who made a point of the 'time reserved especially for you' BS. I mainly came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning and checkup. It was 8 am on a weekday, and there were already quite a lot patients waiting. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait too long before being taken to the exam room. First, Kylie and Katlyn took my X-rays and 3D anatomy scan. They were both skilled and made the process comfortable. I did have some trouble with my gag reflex during certain angles of the X-rays, but overall I was satisfied with the experience. Next, Megan was my dental hygienist. She provided great education about gingivitis and examined and cleaned my teeth with care. However, the cleaning itself wasn't the most thorough I've ever had. It felt like more time and effort was spent scraping the surfaces of my teeth and less time cleaning the areas between my gums and teeth. She did follow up with thorough flossing and rinsing. For comparison, the most thorough cleaning I've had in the past involved spending a decent amount of time on both areas (gums and teeth). After the cleaning, Megan offered me an oral cancer screening and fluoride treatment. I was under the impression that both would be covered by my dental insurance, but I ended up having to pay $63 out of pocket for the 2 services at checkout. I was surprised by this and wish I had been informed about the cost before receiving these services. Lastly, my dentist Dr. Kiesel came in to examine my teeth and apply the fluoride treatment. He gave me the same recommendation regarding my wisdom teeth as my previous dentists, but also provided some additional insights that I found very helpful. Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish, including the scheduling process. I originally had an appointment scheduled 2 months out, but they kindly rescheduled me to the last available appointment this month after I made a last-minute request as a new patient. I really appreciated their flexibility and accommodation. One of the biggest advantages of this clinic is its technology. They seem to have some of the most advanced dental technology I've ever experienced, including the oral cancer diagnostic equipment. It made the visit feel very modern and professional. My appointment took a total of 1 hour and a half. Reasonable because I'm a new patient and needed imagings done. I've already scheduled my next follow-up appointment for next year and look forward to returning.

The office isn't that big! You feel like such an inconvenience to them, like "How dare you interrupt my web-surfing!!" Look, I am no diva and I don't expect a red carpet roll-out upon my arrival. What any business owes it's customers is very basic manners. A simple, courteous, "Hello, I will be right with you" goes a long way! It's too bad that the front office staff doesn't reperesent Dr. Ingram very well. I will continue to go there since ultimately its the dentist and his work that matters. I've been in several times, so I thought I would wait until writing a review thinking maybe they were having an "off" day and maybe it would change. My insurance changed and I inquired what my out of network cost would be, so I could continue at this location. I was given a number, but the actual out of pocket was 3 times that amount!!! I could have found a new dentist in my network, which is now a certain. I was NEVER told this could be higher, I was told this was my out of pocket expense. Trying to explain my concerns to Dr Shoba was impossible because I couldn't get a word in. I feel I was misled and they dropped the ball. This was on top of a previous experience, a couple of years earlier. I went in for an issue with a tooth, and they suggested, since I was there to go ahead and do my cleaning (I had an appointment for the next month), this would save me a visit. But this took place before the 6 month window so my insurance didn't cover any of it. I had to pay it all out of pocket. I believe that situation was their responsibility to make sure I was within insurance guidelines, It would be a fair expectation to receive accurate information, and they failed both times. I would not recommend this office. I started out at this location with Dr Miller, and when he retired things were never the same. He would have handled it much better. Several different dentists have been through this place like a revolving door. I will not return.

The staff was fantastic at helping to put me at ease and I can't praise Dr. Partridge enough for his bedside manner and skill. After reading several posts online, I expected it to take 20-30 min. for him to get my tooth out. To my surprise, he did it with one pull, a tad bit of drilling, and a rinse. It took 5 min. , maybe. The longest part of the procedure was waiting for the novacaine to set in. I'm sure this would have been much worse with a less experienced doctor! I hope he keeps practicing for many years because I find great comfort in knowing that if me or my family ever needs these services again, we have someone we can trust to do a fantastic job.

While I was nervous, as I had never had a tooth pulled before, everyone there made sure I felt completely comfortable & the entire procedure was over in no time. (I felt NOTHING!!!) Dr. Partridge has excellent bedside manner & keeps you at ease the entire visit. So when my daughter needed her 4 impacted wisdom teeth pulled a few months ago, we knew exactly who to schedule with! She had major anxiety, but similar to my experience realized it was "all in her head". I highly recommend Dr. Partridge's practice! He is absolutely wonderful & truly cares about his patients!
