The office isn't that big! You feel like such an inconvenience to them, like "How dare you interrupt my web-surfing!!" Look, I am no diva and I don't expect a red carpet roll-out upon my arrival. What any business owes it's customers is very basic manners. A simple, courteous, "Hello, I will be right with you" goes a long way! It's too bad that the front office staff doesn't reperesent Dr. Ingram very well. I will continue to go there since ultimately its the dentist and his work that matters. I've been in several times, so I thought I would wait until writing a review thinking maybe they were having an "off" day and maybe it would change. However, during my appointment I learned he does not specialize in TMJ related situations at all and is incapable of diagnosing and treating pain related to TMJ. Apparently, this practice's idea of having a 'TMJ specialist' on staff is employing a regular dentist who can suggest an actual TMJ specialist, not even a medical referral, just a simple suggestion. I would've never came if I was made aware of this reality, as I have already visited many dentists who have suggested the same. They overrepresented their prestige, education, and capacities. All I was told was that I should see someone else as I appear to have problems with my TMJ, but it couldn't be diagnosed by this dentist. This was a wasted trip and I was told information I already knew. Their website has fraudulent reviews. Firstly, why would a business with under 5 Yelp reviews have hundreds of glowing and flattering reviews on their own website? The photos used by this practice are stock photos that are unrelated to the business itself. This is shady, why not use photos of your actual business to promote and advertise? Why feign hundreds of satisfactory reviews?

I was referred to Uzzel Dental Group by a friend and they were able to schedule to see me within two weeks. Dr. Uzzel is the most gentle, kind, and exceptionally talented Dentist I have ever been treated by. He and his staff have been clear with all that is going on and how they would treat it. Dr. Kristy Bultema at Beavercreek Endodontics who he referred to perform my root canal itself was warm and comforting (even after having some not so fun side effects from the numbing agent) and did an amazing job. Then to top it all off due to some PCSing gymnastics I had to wait at Dr. Uzzel's office for a couple of hours after walking across the street from having my root canal done to put the permanent crown on and his staff has been absolutely amazing. (To reiterate the wait was not their fault it was due to PCSing fun. If anything it was a huge favor to squeeze me in before our out processing date.) His staff has taken care of me all morning. Treating me like family. Even giving me snacks and making sure I have been comfortable. Additionally, I had a beautiful connection with a fellow patient that was extremely encouraging. I would recommend Uzzel Dental Group and Beavercreek Endodontics to anyone looking for dental care in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area. I got a second opinion and found out that I did have two cavities. I also had a problem with them overcharging me $150, which luckily my insurance caught. He then was moving the mask on her face around so aggressively it was pulling her entire face back , And then he abruptly turned off all his equipment and sighed and said , " so our next option is anesthesia and insurance doesn't cover it blah blah blah " I was just standing there stunned , in shock but also looking at my child who was disoriented and upset , which I would be too if a Dr just treated me like I was just an inconvenience who was taking to to much of his time in less than 5 min !! I have never seen a doctor act like that ! He was ok at first and then he just snapped. It's worth noting also that if for any reason the surgery does not happen then you do not get the $200 back for the meds you paid cash for . My mom ended up going back there and the dr said " fine we can try it again " and by the grace of god it got done. The entire time I was in the waiting room I just kept replaying the way he teated my kid simply for being afraid . A special needs child already has so many struggles and so many bullies , you don't expect to find it in a place like this . So I spend the next few hours in his waiting room where I witnessed a lot , he had done something in our case already that had made me question if it was even legal , or at minimum , Medicaid fraud , and I wasn't going to mention that until I saw another review where another lady mentioned the same , so I know it's not just me being paranoid . This place is just a money making machine for him and I doubt he even sees these patients like people , but instead just dollar signs and the ones that are not immediately compliant are coming between him and his money and it will not be tolerated by this guy . I would never and will never put the care of my child in this guys hands ever again !

Awful, Awful, Awful Dentist Office! these people have NO IDEA what they are doing…read more 1) They shined a light in my mouth screening for oral cancer -- it took 2 minutes. At the end they tried to charge me $50 out of pocket!!! THEY NEVER ASKED MY PERMISSION TO DO THE SCREENING. So, I refused to pay it. 2) I had a crown ordered and I showed up for my appointment to have it put in. THERE WAS NO APPOINTMENT on the books for me EVER. They had to fit me in since I drove there but I had to wait for an hour to be seen. 3) I showed up for another appointment and they had me scheduled for the same day the NEXT week. I put it into my cell phone when the appointment was made...so either they told me the wrong date or they put it in their computer wrong. 4) THIS IS THE BIG ONE. They will DO THINGS that will void YOUR INSURANCE! Insurance has guidelines that has to be followed in order to be accepted. Smiles for Life is so INCOMPETENT that they will schedule things and do things in such a way that your insurance will DENY the procedure and you will be stuck with the WHOLE COSTS OUT OF YOUR POCKET. Bottom Line --- AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
