I was referred to Uzzel Dental Group by a friend and they were able to schedule to see me within two weeks. Dr. Uzzel is the most gentle, kind, and exceptionally talented Dentist I have ever been treated by. He and his staff have been clear with all that is going on and how they would treat it. Dr. Kristy Bultema at Beavercreek Endodontics who he referred to perform my root canal itself was warm and comforting (even after having some not so fun side effects from the numbing agent) and did an amazing job. Then to top it all off due to some PCSing gymnastics I had to wait at Dr. Uzzel's office for a couple of hours after walking across the street from having my root canal done to put the permanent crown on and his staff has been absolutely amazing. (To reiterate the wait was not their fault it was due to PCSing fun. If anything it was a huge favor to squeeze me in before our out processing date.) His staff has taken care of me all morning. Treating me like family. Even giving me snacks and making sure I have been comfortable. Additionally, I had a beautiful connection with a fellow patient that was extremely encouraging. I would recommend Uzzel Dental Group and Beavercreek Endodontics to anyone looking for dental care in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area. They wanted to charge me almost $1000. The dentist offered to fill some of my cavities right then and there- which now that I think about it was a tricky way to get me to commit to spending money and not have a chance to think about it. I got a second opinion and found out that I did have two cavities. I also had a problem with them overcharging me $150, which luckily my insurance caught. I always loved going to the dentist until I went to Richmond Family Dentist. As one person I talked to said, only go here if you have amazing dental insurance and don't mind the up sale. Richmond Family Dentistry is not a local dentist- the dentists that work there are the same ones that work at Aspen Dental over by Starbucks.

Awful, Awful, Awful Dentist Office! these people have NO IDEA what they are doing…read more 1) They shined a light in my mouth screening for oral cancer -- it took 2 minutes. At the end they tried to charge me $50 out of pocket!!! THEY NEVER ASKED MY PERMISSION TO DO THE SCREENING. So, I refused to pay it. 2) I had a crown ordered and I showed up for my appointment to have it put in. THERE WAS NO APPOINTMENT on the books for me EVER. They had to fit me in since I drove there but I had to wait for an hour to be seen. 3) I showed up for another appointment and they had me scheduled for the same day the NEXT week. I put it into my cell phone when the appointment was made...so either they told me the wrong date or they put it in their computer wrong. 4) THIS IS THE BIG ONE. They will DO THINGS that will void YOUR INSURANCE! Insurance has guidelines that has to be followed in order to be accepted. Smiles for Life is so INCOMPETENT that they will schedule things and do things in such a way that your insurance will DENY the procedure and you will be stuck with the WHOLE COSTS OUT OF YOUR POCKET. Bottom Line --- AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
