French Onion Soup
Katlin B.

The French Onion Soup is fantastic - but their flat breads, sliders and salads are also a great choice. Service is usually pretty good, it's a very laid back restaurant once you're able to actually get through Riverdale traffic.

The service was one of the best! Everything looks very clean. The only problem was the food. The Fish N Chips was very yummy, now the chicken taco was very bad quality. It's made with can chicken and it's very very sweet. The Parmesan French fries were yummy but extremely salty I couldn't eat them. The drink was very delicious!

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience here. This was my first time coming to wood n tap with my family. My order had been the Bacon burger cooked (Medium). When they brought it out it was extremely pink ! I kindly told them send to remake my burger and when they brought it out it was the same burger with PINK STILL and SOGGY BREAD!! :(( BTW: the waiter was super nice; he def wasn't the problem.

Their sad excuse for Large Corn Chowder

They forgot my drink in the pre-paid to-go order and when I called, they told me to PAY FOR ANOTHER ONE if I wanted it!! So I have to pay twice for THEIR mistake!? Absolute BS Their corn chowder is also terrible, salty, and has the thin consistency of chicken noodle soup. Sure you'd have better service at the Olive Garden

Bison sliders, fried Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries, Mocktails.

First time here on a Thursday night, very busy, but we had reservations for 5 people. Seated quick, food was good, a little pricey, nice mocktail menu, overall would recommend for a bite before a movie.

Blackened Chicken Pasta

This was my first time going here. Although I'm not a picky eater whatsoever, it took me a little bit to figure out what I was in the mood for. It is American cuisine but a different style of American cuisine in my opinion. The clam chowder tastes similar to Pub 99's seafood chowder but I like this one just a little more. The green onions on top were a very nice touch. The blackened chicken pasta was absolutely delicious. 10 out of 10 in my book. It's supposed to come with tomatoes but I asked they take those off. I do wish there were a little more mushrooms. The interior of the restaurant is a different type of vibe. Very beautiful and would love to go back! They have a huge selection of wine which is more than I've seen anywhere else. Only bad thing I will have to say is that the silverware wasn't the cleanest so I had to wipe it off with a wet napkin before using it.

No reservations, so get there early! An automatic bonus star for original craft cocktails and dinner specials. I abhor restaurants that rely on staple meal choices, forgetting that people need variety from the ho hum they make at home ( or can make at home- like Wood and Tap. Boo.). I love a place like this where you can look at the menu and see at least two or three things that make you think "WOW, what will I choose?". The restaurant is very bright with many high top tables. It would have felt conspicuously weird to take photos in the full-capacity situation we were in. There's also a gentleman playing acoustic guitar and singing Christmas music. Nicely done, with a professional voice and playing style. I would say, the only downside was that there didn't seem to be a consistency of how people were waiting on tables, so simple things like a set of silverware missed at our table, and then somebody brought a set and didn't bring napkins. Then one of us received the completely wrong meal and we had a delay in getting it corrected while we were already on a tight schedule with the other flubs to make the show on time. It was scattered issues like that all night that kept this from being a five star experience. It

Their baby back ribs were delicious and would rival any local barbecue. Our waitress was very patient with our many questions about the menu and was a pleasure to meet. They have live music that added to one more reason that we will make this a regular stop.

I mainly visited since it was nearby, but also because they offered a standout Ruben, keyword 'offered' as in they don't have it anymore. My colleague loves Reubens but he ended up having to order something else furing our visit. This ended up being a good thing because he was super happy with his choice afterward. I looked over the menu and there were other menu items also crossed off, but still plenty of options to choose from. Their burgers are handpressed but only 6 oz. That is a little small for me, especially when I'm hungry. After conversing with the gentleman behind the counter about my options, we both agreed I should go with the spicy fried chicken sandwich. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich which comes with homemade fries and their homemade green tea with ginger and mint. My colleague ordered the pork cutlet sandwich and said it was amazing due to the apple chunks on the sandwich. Both were actually daily specials listed on their board to the right of the menu. My sandwich was quite large and spicy with the fresh jalapenos and a spicy sauce. It reminded me of the large chicken sandwich at Longhorn Steakhouse, but this one was even larger and better. The fries are fresh cut which made this meal perfect. This restaurant is truly nothing special from the outside appearance and both my colleague and I even thought it looked closed when we were driving by. He also said he doubts they have any seating, but we were both wrong. Don't doubt yourself about this restaurant. It is a truly hidden gem with some uniquely prepared foods waiting inside. They had limited beverages. I wanted regular iced tea, but ended up with the homemade green tea with mint and ginger which was pretty good, but no free refills. Service was of course excellent. I interacted with the gentleman a couple more times as I knew I'd need a lot more napkins to tackle this food.
