The menu had a ton of sandwich options, but I wasn't in a sandwich mood. The dinner options were ok but nothing was tickling my fancy, so I settled on the appetizer trio for $17. Okay, I would give this Resturant about a 3.9. This is my first time at this restaurant and it was nice nice ambience very cozy inside live music. Also, they had a special for Thursday for the appetisers which was really nice. However, we ordered the chicken wings. They were really big. They were like dinosaur wings. I guess they're not fried wings they're baked. They had a okay taste but they were just too large. We did order fries but they never came. I went there for the Tuesday prime rib special , I've had it a half dozen times , a few times it seamed a little thin , but that's history . I went there last Tuesday with two other guys and we all got the prime rib , every one was great , two medium rare and one end cut , plenty thick and perfect, came with potato and baby carrots , all three of us change to Brussel sprouts , cauliflower , and I got the asparagus, there was a $1 up charge to change veggie. Just walked out as I could not get served! Patiently waited for over twenty minutes after receiving the menu and receiving a bottled beer. I finished my beer and still nothing. I had Drove over 30 minutes to eat at this location and I am someone who eats out pretty much every night and I was looking forward to this evening. I asked another waitress how much the beer was and left the money and left! When leaving the hostess ask how everything was? And i said I'm leaving hungry as I couldn't get waited on. I was in the plaza for other business and decided to stop in for lunch. Place was empty as they just opened so had the bar to myself. No more than 30-45 minutes later the bar was full and looked as if filled with regulars. Margret and her trainee did a fantastic job behind the bar. We had some fun as I didn't know what I wanted to eat so we coin flipped it. Chicken parm won as well as the cheesecake. The food was delicious. Pasta tasted home made and the chicken had that perfect crisp bite to it. Cheesecake melted in my mouth. First time there and we loved it. Got the Crab Dip for an appetizer and the Cape Cod Ruben for my meal. The dip was delicious and creamy and the crostinis were perfect. The Ruben had the largest serving of fried fish I've ever seen on a sandwich. My girlfriend got the Chicken Franchise on risotto. The Risotto was cooked perfectly and the chicken had a great crispy breading. Our server, Allie, recommended the buffalo aioli for my onion straws and it was exactly what they needed. Everything came out quick and very hot. Allie was there at the perfect time every time. The live music was great and so we're the cocktails. We will be back soon for the prime rib. Went for lunch today .. had our drinks and ordered lunch .. a panini and soup and half sandwich... pretty simple . The coustomers to our left ordered about 10 minutes after us ... one of them got his chicken sandwich.. the girl received nothing .. then they gave her the soup but no 1/2 sandwich.. then they sent out a grilled cheese that wasn't grilled (cold) she complained and they said oh that's grilled .. Then 2 people that walked in 5 minutes (we were there at least an hour) got her soup ... yes still nothing for us !!! I now was pretty upset ! We have been going to Route 20 Bar & Grill for sometime now. Great food and great atmosphere as well. But it's the staff that truly make it a perfect experience. One waitress in particular is Allie. After the waitress finally came out on the deck, she took our drink order came back after took our appetizer order then we never saw her for about 40 minutes until our appetizers came out. We had to stop her while she was at another table to have her take our order for dinner. I asked her four different times to refill my water glass and she was nowhere to be found. I went to use the restroom and there was only about three tables that had customers and the bar had one customer so the restaurant was not busy at 6 PM on a Thursday night. Our meal finally came The side of coleslaw that I had was swimming in liquid. My Rueben sandwich had coleslaw on it and they never strained the coleslaw the sandwich by time I reached the second half of the sandwich. I had to cut it with a fork and knife because it was so soggy not once during the whole meal did the waitress ever come and check and see how our meal was but as soon as it was time for the bill, she had the bill and came right back out so she could get her tip terrible service. We live quite near Route 20 Grill and find ourselves there often. If you're lucky try and have Nick take care of you , you'll have a fantastic experience. He just gets it and goes out of his way to get you what you want! The Cod Francaise is one of my favorites, hubby likes the chicken tortilla soup and loves when they have cheeseburger chowder on the menu. Was once my go to place. First time I ordered the stir fry with chicken and it was awesome. Everything was fresh and done to perfection. I liked it so much that I ordered it again the next time I went, and what a disappointment! Vegetables were mushy and tasted day old, and the chicken was over cooked and tough to chew. Always in Ludlow and never knew about This restaurant that's less than ten minutes away and will probably be my new go to spot. Cocktails were good and food was delicious. For an app we had the warm goat cheese and my gosh worth every penny! I had a burger and my boyfriend had the shrimp dinner and both were so so good! Went here for bite of food (party of 3). Ordered fish/chips, soup, salad, chicken fingers. Waited for over 1hr -waitress told us that our food ticket got lost in the kitchen. She apologized and said she would take care of it. Meanwhile, other tables around us ordered, received their food & drinks and left. Finally food came, and we asked for the manager. The waitress proceeded to offer us dessert to take but again we requested the manager. Laurie (owner/manager) came to table, we expressed the lost ticket issue and she said she knew about it. We felt like she should have offered to comp our meal,( which any reputable restaurant would have done) but no.....she said they offered a free dessert which we didn't want. Laurie then proceeded to get very rude with our response and told us to leave....basically she said "Get Out". This is unacceptable!!!!
