Can't beat 4 dollar IPAs during Happy hour but our waitress never asked if I wanted another one. Had the pilgrim wrap for dinner and the turkey was similar to the deli department at Stop and Shop. My friend had fish and chips and she said she wouldn't get it again. We miss the fish fritters with sidewinder fries and their cole slaw is not what it used to be. The food was delicious!!! I had the spicy lobster and shrimp and grits and home fries. I would highly recommend. My cousin had the strawberry stuffed French toast. He said they were equally delicious but wish he would have gotten more than 2 slices for the price. Came at 10:30 am and the place was pretty empty. Wow. Another spot that I had no idea existed! Tucked away off of Whalley Avenue, nestled in between New Haven and Woodbridge. Is this gem of a restaurant that you probably wouldn't notice even if you drove past it. The sign for us was the full parking lot! We had the opportunity to meet friends here for brunch and we're so glad we did. I'm not going to lie. I had minimal expectations about what this dining experience would be, but was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering, the space was very warm and welcoming with a prominent bar area upfront, and ample seating for diners in the back. With our group of about 8 to 10 people, we were seated promptly and able to enjoy a lovely brunch together. I enjoyed that they had mimosas and Bellini's on the menu plus a really exciting brunch menu with usual favorites as well as some different options. I opted to have the lobster Benedict, which was cooked perfectly, however, could have used a little bit more seasoning for flavor. Our children thoroughly enjoyed their chocolate chip pancakes, and both opted for lavish hot chocolates which came in a tall glass with a mountain of whipped cream on top! Everyone at the table seemed to thoroughly enjoy their meal, and I also observed quite a few happy patrons at nearby tables as well. Only negative was they let the kids reorder drinks without asking an adult and it wasn't free. Everyone enjoyed their food except for me. Like most establishments suffering post the pandemic, they are short-staffed but they need to just implement a better process to combat this issue. I met a friend on Saturday here for brunch we actually showed up after the 230 Mark and missed brunch so we waited until 3 o'clock for a lunch service to begin I had a bloody Mary while I waited. I've been to Woodbridge Social a few times just for drinks with friends but never really ate a meal here. Decided to head down tonight for dinner and it was so delicious. We had a hard time deciding what to get since the menu had such a wide variety. I went with the chicken stir fry while my fiancé ordered the pastrami sandwich. My dish was so fresh and presented so nicely. And his was basically devoured before I could snap a picture, hahaha. They came out super fast too. Went for Sunday brunch a few months back. I was really looking forward to it. We were seated fairly quickly, but that's where the quickness ended. We ordered drinks and our meals. Drinks came and we were done with those before we saw our waiter again. The kids were starving so we asked for bread. "We don't have any". The waiter came back 10 minutes later with a few packets of oyster crackers. After an hour of waiting for our food we asked the waiter what was going on. He said they are very backed up in the kitchen and it would still be a while. After 90 minutes we told the waiter we were going to leave. He brought us a gift card for our trouble and comped our beers. We left and went to Burger King. I worked in the area so decided to use the gift card for lunch one day. The entrance is interesting. You have to walk around the bar for the waitress stand but there is a sign and a friendly staff person when you get to the stand. We arrived on a Sunday morning for Brunch right when they opened so there was no wait. Service was immediate and attentive. I ordered the bottomless mimosas and my glass was repeatedly refilled without having to flag down a waitress. I couldn't decide between the lobster eggs Benedict and the eggs Benedict florentine, so I asked if spinach could be added to my lobster Benedict and I was accommodated without hesitation. It was served along with roasted potatoes consisting of a mix of regular and sweet potatoes and fresh fruit. This would have been a 5 star review except that half way through eating my potatoes I found a hair that was definitely not mine. My husband had the chicken and waffles. I notice they remembered a lot of the customers names and were very helpful with suggesting drinks. The actual restaurant is in a pretty dead shopping center so parking is ample. I stopped here today because I was in the area and this place looked appealing to what my appetite was craving that wasn't Thanksgiving leftovers. Breakfast was what I thought I wanted but got here at 3:00 and just missed the cutoff for brunch. I was a little turned off by that but by the end of this review you'll understand why I am not at all disappointed in missing out. The menu is loaded with delicious looking options and it took me ages to come up with something. I started by getting the french onion soup which on this cold day was a great warmer upper to start my meal. Cheese had the perfect melt to it where you do not eat it all in one or two ball chunks. Broth was worth slurping rather than trying to eat it spoon full at a time. Filling with the right amount of onions and bread. Finished the soup and still haven't made up my mind with what I wanted to eat. Ultimately I went with the seasonal chicken pot pie and was I in shock when it came out. Just saying, if this is what is trending I am all for it. A bowl of delicious, creamy pot pie with a giant puff pastry crust on top. My mind is blown and I just want this to be the new norm. Absolutely worth trying! Took some home with me so I had room for dessert. I asked Tracey, who was a terrific host/bar tender what they had and I went with the Milkyway only because I was going to be the first to have it so I thought it was only fitting knowing I was going to review the place that I would be the first to give you the scoop on this. This is a must if you love chocolate cake with ice cream and cream on the side drizzled with chocolate & caramel. This is everything a cake should be. It was freshly chilled out the refrigerator with the ability to mix and match every bite on your plate. Definitely a shakeup from eating pies the last two days. Please stop in and use my review as a guid if you are having a difficult time finding something to eat. They have the BEST fries EVER! They have the crispy on the outside fries that just crunches in your mouth! Urgh, so GREAT! My friend ordered Woodbridge burger. She loved the burger and I loved my cheesecake. I am not big on onions and peppers, so they put the peppers on the side and very light on the caramelized onions. The price was doable for our meals plus a kids meal. There were only two people working which took a little long to refill or waters and bring anything else we asked for, I had to ask several times, but I don't believe they thought they would be busy on a Monday afternoon during the holidays. This spot was delicious and I'm so glad we went! I was only visiting CT for the holidays, but New Haven never disappoints when it comes to food, so we were happy leaving there well fed. I've worked in restaurants for years. I understand it gets busy which it was, but at least be sympathetic or apologetic towards the table you're not giving service. I was in the restaurant for about 2 hours with a total of two mimosas served to me and a dry burrito. I find that ridiculous and rude. Also when the food got dropped to the table the server didn't even bother to see if it was correct or if we needed anything else. They have a good drink menu and different theme nights for different days of the week such as ladies night, trivia, ect. The only thing I don't like about this place is since it's so busy the food takes forever to come out! We ordered a pizza and a salad and it took almost an hour to come out. The Cobb salad however was great! We got it with salmon on top and it was absolutely delicious! The pizza was pretty good too. Horrible service!! Didn't even get a chance to try the food. Arrived on a Saturday at 6pm and the dining area was empty. Thought that was odd but now I understand why it was empty. We sat down and were given waters to drink and i ordered a beer. 30 minutes went by and we were never asked what we wanted to order for dinner. During this time we had our menus piled up on the corner of the table so the waiter would see we were ready to order. The young waiter was to busy chatting with the kitchen staff and then watching tv in the dining area this whole time. We tried to get his attention to no avail. Finally we asked for the check for the single beer, left $7 on the table and walked out. I noticed a sign that said gratuity of 18% is automatically added to the bill. This is what happens when people don't have to work for a tip. The waiter clearly did not care about his level of service or about our dining experience.
