Each table had a table cloth laid out. The layout was great as it wasn't too crowded for people to walk and there wasn't much room between the tables but I didn't have anyone using the beside me so it worked out. They also had a table on the side with water jugs and glasses. Other times I've been, they've had round tables in this big room and rectangle tables around for the food and drinks. I saw in the other smaller room, people organizing and decorating for a Halloween party. It would be fun! The washrooms are just outside the rooms and the ladies' room was large with lots of stalls. It was nice and clean. There was parking on the street in front of the centre and across the street there was lots of parking in the lot. Decent venue to hold a meeting or work event.

That kind of generosity and community support is commendable and I just wanted to make sure my review reflected that. The decor was classy. Crisp, clean linens, quality centrepieces, great lighting and quality sound. And the food. The catering was amazing. Hot, delicious selection. Roast potatoes, coconut fish, chicken parm, tender and rare prime rib, salad, flavourful gravy and a mushroom Alfredo pasta that was to die for. The catering and service staff were ON IT. Food was instantly whisked in and empty trays traded out so no one in line had to wait for a buffet selection. Tables were bussed of dirty dishes quicky and quietly. I definitely would book with the Mirage for the room and even for the catering for an outside event. (which they do!)

This was a very well organized event where they had about 20 different companies celebrate their corporate Christmas party as a very fanciful event without needing 200+ people from their own business. There was a great buffet banquet and a comedy show that was followed by a dance that lasted till 1 am. This was a great way for a smaller business to show of their appreciation for their employees and have a great time. I would highly recommend this venue for any event that you are planning for your business.

The tables weren't set up right to the stage to leave room for those who wanted to dance to get up close to the band. The 2 bars had line ups but it was easy to buy drink tickets and line up. The ladies' selling the tickets were nice and I asked if they had a tip jar but she didn't have one. They also had food set up with pizza, I think chicken too, chips, and chocolate bars. We were seated almost aligned with the doors and could see the band on the stage pretty well. There was an aisle so lots of people walking by but it wasn't bothersome. The sound was decent for the hall too. Decent venue for events and would be happy to be back for more parties!

It may take some maneuvering if you are seated in a middle table to get out but it wasn't too crowded. People started lining up to get food. There was beef, chicken with mango salsa (I think it was but I didn't have any as the chicken looked very pale and plain), perogies, pasta and Caesar salads, vegetables, and buns. I can't even recall if that was all the food as the food wasn't very memorable. My slice of beef was chewy so I didn't eat it. I'm glad I got enough perogies and salad to fill me up as they started to clean up the food before the people around me were done eating. I wish they would have left it out a bit longer in case people wanted more food but they could have been instructed to clean up right away to bring out the dessert. For dessert, there was a lemon cake trifle with blueberries and a mocha cake. They served it to us and we got to try both. My trifle was only cream and blueberries as it was one of the first serving so they didn't get down to the cake. But I went for seconds so I could have some cake. The mocha cake wasn't my type of flavour but coffee drinkers may like it. The service was good to clean up our dirty plates and we helped ourselves at the bar to cup and poured water from jugs. Sound Lab Studios actually rents out Rehearsal Rooms, venue to host any corporate events, sell and rent equipment, provide audio recording, music workshops, band showcases, etc. Their rates are super reasonable for everything as you can't even rent an empty room in Edmonton for what they offer their rehearsal room rates for. The owners are super friendly as well and will work with you to find a package that works for you and your budget. The 9 purpose built rehearsal studios are highly soundproofed and sound treated, come with a drum kit, mixer, speakers, and microphones, various sizes, are clean, fully air conditioned and are on the main floor so there's no need to haul heavy items up any stairs.
